It's not likely to change, there's no risk of any late entries...

Big round of applause from today's players as Rob Yong annouces all of the 205 players left in have cashed.

They've just announced it's a 45 minute clock.

I have once again put on my teenage daughter's knickers and am feeling like Herbie after a night out at the Blue Oyster. If you see me wincing, you know why - I'm being slowly strangled from underneath.

Good Luck to all Blondes!!

Nick has just told me he is about to put the adjusted payouts up now, as they have been tweaked to make sure everyone of today's players gets at least a min cash.

Just caught Lucy Rokach's exit hand, when she shoved her short stack in on the big blind after a raise and an all in in front.

George 2 Loose had originally raised and eventually made a tank fold, seat one had KK while the cut off had shoved with J 10.

Flop ran out

J 5 6 8 and of course a 10 on the river to crack the pocket Kings. Lucy's straight draw didn't get there and the Golden Ovaries were eliminated.

Super fifty turbo it is then FML

Just half an hour into today's game and we have  already lost 23 players.

The idea to remove the bubble has definitely changed the dynamic of the game for the short stacks, who now have nothing to lose.

David Nisbet makes it 17K to go mid position, for Ian Bertram to shove all in from the big blind.

David says "I think I'm going to have to call" upon which Ian turns over A 8 off.

Ian says he didn't say he was calling, so the floor is called to make a ruling.

TD declares David didn't declare an actual call, but was more talking out loud, so can make his decision as to whether to call what isn't much more than a min raise, or fold.

Eventually he declare A 7 off, and folds.

Tim Blake has built his starting stack of 54K up to 185K.

No showdowns, he just keeps going all in on every river and threatening opposing players with his walking stick if they don't fold.

Bizarre happenings on table 35.

Dealer somehow dealt seat 8's second card to seat 9, who had the choice of 3 cards.

Bodo Wagner in seat 9 picked one of his 3 cards without looking and gave to Dahe Lui in seat 8.

Frankie spotted it, as the dealer was looking elswewhere, and the floor was called. Instant misdeal declared, and Dahe Lui turns over KQ off and seems very disappointed that he can't play his hand. Bodo even more upset as he folded a King as well, so thinks he would have had pocket kings.

Chippyman Frankie saves the day.

Vik Digpal lost a 300K pot holding pocket aces, vs KQ, of course.

He comes back fighting from the button, 3 betting a 17K raise by Gareth Howard, making it 36K to go, leaving him about 150K.

Gareth asks him what he has left, Vik shows his chips and Gareth says he'll put him all in, but despite his generous offer, Gareth looks a little upset when it is instantly accepted by Vik.

Vik has AK off and Gareth has q8 suited.

Eight on the flop cheers Gareth up, but the Ace on the turn almost brings a smile from Vik. Almost, but not quite.

Vik now back to about 360K.

Rasta fish is indeed here. sitting quietly in the corner, with an above average stack of 520K. I asked him why he was so quiet and he said he was playing a different style of game today. To prove his point he then folded his small blind.

We'll be calling him Rasta Rock is this continues.

Ben Sweetman is on 336K.

PeeJay now on about 400K.

He opened with J9 and got four callers.

Respect.

Flop was 10 Q 2 and it checked round to Damien Christie who bets out, called by frankie and PJ.

Turn is a 5, checked round.

River is the money card for PJ who hits his straight when the King lands. He bets out for 65K and is called by Damien holding QJ.

Frankie tells Paul, if Damien wasn't in, he ships it in on the turn and PJ loses.

PJ says "If my aunty had a penis she'd be my uncle" . In his head.

Player son 20 minute break, going back into level 20, Blinds will be 6/12K with an ante of 2K. average stack 322K. No real monster stacks out there apart from George at the moment, although others are starting to catch up.

With 8 levels more to play today I'm thinking we may well come back with only2  or 3 tables tomorrow.  #evertheoptimist

Nick Humpries on about 850K, bemoaning the fact it could have been a whole lot more if Ben Sweetman hadn't 4 bet with Jacks earlier.

Nick made it 24K to go with the monster that is A7.

Seat 8 3 bet to 40K with AQ, only for Ben to make it 90K to see a flop.

Nick tanked for ever and eventually found a fold, seat 8 got it in with AQ.

Flop ran out 7 7 2. Ben's Jacks held, Seat 8 went out and Nick had a little cry.

Ben now on 840K.

(The eliminated player was possibly Tom Brownlee but waiting for the DTD site to update to confirm.)

Jamie White makes it 26K UTG.

George flat calls and opens the floodgates for another 4 flat callers limping in behind.

Clint Pannell looks like he's contemplating a shove when it limps round to him but eventually laugh folds.

6 players see a flop of

Qh 9c 9d

White checks, George bets out 41K, and watches the others fold faster than a domino layout. He takes down the large pot. Easy game.

George on about 1.2M.

Tim Blake on 650K.

He says he has dropped his range a little today to play Kings as well as his customary aces.

Nicola is currently doing the Golden Chip list, we definitely have 26 players left from 77 holding a Golden Chip. If any of these players get to the Final table they take home a 5K Caribbean poker package.

Flop runs out Kd Jd 3d

Shane C bets 60K.

David dwells for 60 eons. Eventually slowly and deliberately stacks up 60K, picks it up and quietly announces all in.

Shane says " You need an Oscar for that mate" and folds, flipping over the 9d.

David back to about 350K.

You know how certain players say online is rigged, that when short stacks get it in good, they are always brutally outdrawn by the bigger stack?

Dane Phillips shoves his 91K in and is called by Bodo Wagner.

Dane has KQ

Wagner has KJ.

Best result Dane could hope for, particularly on an innocuous low flop of 6 8 10.

Turn Queen.

It's all going Dane's way.

He sits back in his seat and visibly breathes out with relief.

Until the dealer pulls out a 9 on the river, giving Bodo Wagner the straight to eliminate Dane.

Keith Jones makes it 41K to go and is flat called by Hasmukh on the button.

Big Blind Matt Taylor 3 bets to 136K, with approximately 160K left behind.

Keith dwells and eventually folds.

Action on Hasmukh who thinks and then announces he's all in.

Matt can't call quick enough, having committed himself to the hand with his initial raise.

Matt has pocket Queens.

Hasmukh has Kc 10c.

Flop runs out 8 4 10 A 5

No nasty surprises for Matt and he doubles up to over 700K.

Hasmukh has lost a big chunk from his stack now and is down to just under average stack.

Wow monster pot on David Amos's table.

Dipesh Mistry raises pre to 52K and gets two callers from Jav Javeed and Ian White.

Flop comes out Jd 9h 5h

Ian White leads out for 100K.

Mistry goes all in for 375K.

Javeed then also goes all in! Ian asks for a count of Jav's stack, which is 494K.

White waves his white flag and folds.

Mistry turns over pocket Kings, Javeed is lagging far behind with top pair on the flop, holding AJ

brick brick for Javed who is left with a bowl of rice. Mistry takes down the pot of over a million chips!

He's hunched over his 450K stack, hanging on in there.

Talking of hanging, Rasta has perked up. He's now standing up by his seat talking to the whole card room, turning from player to player asking how many chips they have, and saying they will soon all be his. One player made the mistake of answering back and Rasta asked him where his tie was today, then told him to go hang himself. A little extreme maybe, but all part of the poker player that is Rasta Fish.

I've just heard another screech of joy from him and look up to see a young lad dejectedly walking away from his seat, shaking his head, while Rasta thumps the table.

Next level is level 23, playing to level 28 tonight.

Just 40 players left in from today's 204 starters.

Rasta is on about 650K after going down to 100K at one point. TD Ryan pointed out to him the GP is the only DTD tournament he hasn't won, so Rasta is now a man on a mission - a fishing mission.

Blinds 12/24K when we come back in ten minutes.

Rob Hutchinson raises in late position and makes the call when big blind Dan Hardy shoves for 166K.

Rob has K Q off and Dan is ahead with A9, flops an ace and stays ahead for a much needed double up.

George looking dejected on 500K, Keith Jones raises his big blind and shows pocket Jacks after George folds. "It always seems to be on your blind" says Keith.

George says nothing. Out loud anyway.

David Amos has cracked the million chip mark, after raising pre and betting all three streets on a board of 4 2 A 6 K.

He was flat called by Mistry on every street, bar the river when Mistry folded. Total rainbow flop so not sure what Mistry had or was after, but he obviously didn't get there.

Tim Blake all in for 250K.

Big Blind looks like he's considering a call.

Tim raises his stick slightly.

BB snap folds.

Ten minutes into Level 24, blinds now at 15K/30K with an ante of 4K.

Just 34 players left!

Average stack 825, 882 and still another four levels to play out today... unless we get to a final table first.

Bent over slightly before to get a photo on table 12.

Only realised after taking the shot I actually had my bottom resting lightly on Dan Hardy's shoulder.

I apologised of course, only for him to say "It's okay, I just wondered what it is"

I'm still trying to work out if that means he hasn't seen one before, or if mine is actually unrecognisable as an arse.

Monster pot and a new chip leader!

Bodo Wagner, who is playing - and hitting - with any two cards, raises on the button and is called by Leon Cloherty from the Big Blind.

Flop is 3h 6s 7s

Bodo leads out, and Leon gets it all in for a massive 1.4m total.

Bodo SNAP calls, and has covered.

Cloherty turns over pocket tens.

Bodo Wagner turns over.. 4s 5s

He's flopped the straight and also has the straight flush draw as back up.

Cloherty is practically drawing dead on the flop, it's all over with the brick on the turn and Leon Cloherty is OUT!

Bodo Wagner is now on well over 3 MILLION chips!

Jav Javeed calls a raise by Mistry, and they see a flop of As Ks Qs

Mistry goes all in and Javeed calls for about 250K, Mistry has him covered.

Mistry has flopped two pair, holding K Q

Javeed isn't in too bad shape, holding Kh Js, although behind on the flop.

Turn is a 6d and the river is a sick 10 to give Javeed the straight.

Son of Cher, Nick Humpris has crashed out, getting for his troubles. I didn't see the hand, but he did take a knock before with Queens vs AK, and he freely admits it went downhill after that, ending up with a donkey bet (his words) all in with KJ.

Ross Patman now on 950K after calling a small raise from his big blind with Q 6, and seeing a flop of 6 6 K. He min raised after the OR bet, but was disappointed when he was met with no resistance and the OR folded.

PeeJay gets his teeny weeny stack over the line.

Snap call by Chris Newton, who flips over Ah Jh.

"I'm not in a good place" says Paul who has Ad 7h

Cue Pete Linton who suddenly lurches up to scream the required cards in, and sure enough, the board runs out

6d 3d 9h 5s... 8d to give PeeJay the straight.

PJ now on over 800K. It's good. but it's not enough yet, with average stack over one miliion chips.

25 players still standing, including our last lady Di Farrell.

I don't know exactly how many Golden Chips but will try and get a count.

Here's a cheeky little pot between Gaz Howard and Ross Patman.

Ross min raises from the cut off and Gaz defends his big blind.

Flop of 5d 9c Ac sees Ross bet out for 80K.

Gaz makes the call. both players check the turn, the As

River is the Kc, putting all sorts of possibilities out there.

Gaz leads out for 225K.

Ross tanks for ages and eventually makes the call for Gaz to declare a nine. He turns over 7 9 as Ross nods and mucks, Gaz takes the pot down.

Looks like just six Golden Chips left in play now.

Mark Lint didn't believe me when I told him it had to be on the table for him to qualify, I don't know whether he thought I was  trying to angle shoot him, from the rails or what, but the dealer clarified it and he now reluctantly has it tucked away behind his chips.

Action folds round to Tom Sabell in the SB who goes all in for 775K, and called by Mark Lint in the BB.

Tom is in great shape with Ac 10c against Mark's As 7c

Flop runs out 5 K 4 K 6 and Tom takes a double up.

Rasta looks at Tom and says disgustedly, how did you get him to call that?!

Mark left with shrapnel, and a Golden Chip.

Rasta Fish holding on grimly with 600K.

Rasta takes another double up!

Tom Sabell makes it 225K UTG with pocket sevens, Gaz Howard dwell folds pocket 5s, Rasta gets it all in pre with Aces, Tom makes the call and Rasta's Aces hold.

Gaz is disgusted as he would have hit a set of fives and taken both players out.

Tom is left with pocket change.

Another player bokked by requests for a chip count on Blonde...

Mark Lint limps in UTG, David Amos pushes all in.

Folds round to PJ in the SB who calls, which puts him all in as he has less than david.

Mark says "Oh you're all in as well?" and folds.

David has 9 9 PJ has AA.

No shock flops, PeeJay doubles up his 420K and David is left with about 3 big blinds.

As far as I know it's nine for the official final table.

17 players left on two tables right now. Just going into Level 27, the second last level of today.

Blinds 30/60K, ante 10K. Average stack 1.65M.

Just read every page. And thank you for the great updates

I'm pretty sure with Golden Chips in Play it will be 8 handed Final. I think this is the norm

Regards

M

Thank you.
Yep it's 8 final table :)

I make it 4 Golden Chips in the last 17!

David Amos (previous CPP Golden Chip winner!)
Mark Lint
Riaz Milak
Ben Sweetman

Good luck guys....who's going to join us in the Caribbean in November?

Riaz Malik on about 560K.

I asked Mark Lint how many chips he had

"Oh" he said "I don't really know"

Perhaps he might count them I suggested. So he did and proudly announced he had 19 thousand.

It's actually 190K. Close though.

Ben Sweetman looking like our contender at the moment for a possible Gorlden Chip package, although can all change with the drop of a card.

And we're done for Day two of the DTD Grand Prix VII.

It's played down very fast from 204 players starting at 3pm, today, through to just 11 players left after 12 levels.

Play resumes at 3pm tomorrow, we will play down to an 8 handed final table.

Still four Golden Chips left in play.

Chip counts to follow shortly.

David Amos comes back tomorrow, straight into the 80K Big blind with a 600K stack, but the Golden Chip may influence his actions.

Raiz Malik is his biggest competition, as he has happily told everyone at his table that he just wants to win the caribbean package.

If it's not going to be me, and clearly that would take a lot of run good given that 90k of my 610 will vanish into the pot on hand one at 3pm, then George v PJ heads up would be my choice.
With Mark Lint getting a good score too.

Mark was mistreated late on last night. He had min-raised at 25/50 by putting in a single blue chip. The player next to him heard the raise announced but the dealer didn't. Ben Sweetman asked the dealer if it was a raise, was mis-informed and called. Mark queried this, player to his right corroborated the fact that he had raised and Ben instantly declared 'action has taken place'. The dealer just threw Mark change and dealt a flop.
As it happens, Mark bet the flop and Sweetman folded.

There has been a lot of niggle in this comp. even I wrongly had a go at someone and everyone knows how nice I am :)
