Title: DTD £200 Deepstack £100,000 GTD: Day 1b
Post by: TightEnd on August 04, 2012, 01:53:36 PM
Yesterday's Day1a saw an excellent 181 runners for this £100,000 GTD event

Today's 1b starts at 5pm, with late registration until 7pm

A freezeout, no re-entries

Already, there are 140 registered for today

All being well, what looked to be an ambitious guarantee should be beaten later, which will be another fine achievement for DTD given the packed schedule this weekend

Right we are coming to the break after 4 levels

310 of 324 remain

today's early exits

309    Kayleigh Bate
310    Robert Young
311    Iain Raydon
312    David Penly
313    Richard Fleissner
314    Larry Mayes
315    Carl Eglintine
316    Lee Dixon
317    Mat Jones
318    Neil Slade
319    Andrew Darlington
320    Oluwashola Akindele
321    Colin Paddington
322    Alan Ellis

blinds go 200-400

average is 32,000

After the break, I am going to get some hands, and some idea of the chip leaders. Not so easy with 35 tables, but up for the challenge.

Any particular tables or players you want me to focus on? Just shout

the current seat draw is at http://www.dusktilldawncasinonottingham.com/result-info.php?id=2986

Colin Wilson, BA Engineer cdw111 on blonde, calls on the button

Kimberley Clay calls in the big blind

flop  5h 8c Th

Clay checks

Thew 2,000 into 3,000

Wilson calls

Clay check-raises to 6,000

Thew 4 bets to 14,000

Wilson folds

Clay folds

Thew shows  8s 8d

The Thew table is a lively one

Ryan Wall opened UTG to 800 at 200-400

Liam Batey called in the cut off

Thewy calls on the button

Wilson calls in the blinds

The flop comes  Th Qd Td

It's checked to Batey who bets 1,700 into 3,000

All fold

Batey shows me his cards which may or may not have contained an unpaired card above a four.

So I happened to catch a huge pot, which is pure luck with this many tables

Chris Kearney raised in the cut off to 1,000 at 200-400

Alex Zeligman 3 bet the big blind to 3,000

Kearney called

Both playing over 50,000

the flop  Jc 3s 9c

Zeligman leads for 5,000

Kearney makes it 20,000

Zeligman shoves with  Ad Ahrt

Kearney calls it off with  8c 7c

turn  6c for the flush bink

river  5c was a bit OTT, really

Zeligman is out to a straight flush

Kearney has 100,000 and although I can't get to every table, is the biggest stack in the room to my eyes

Sandra Hardwick limps at 250-500

Renee Xie 1,100 in the hi-jack

Rupinder Bedi 2,700 4 bet on the button

Hardwick immediately calls

Xie calls swiftly

A board of  3d 4s 6h 5s is checked round

I wonder if I might see the rarity of a 4 bet pot checkec down the streets until

the river  Js

Hardwick checks

Xie bets 2,400

Bedi calls

Hardiwck folds

Xie shows  Jd Td and its bye bye to the hand for Bedi as the Jack is good

Bedi calls

Both the callers of the open fold

flop  3c 7d 8h

Bedi check calls 6,350

turn  2d

check check

river  Ac

Bedi check calls 11,600 with  Qh Qc

A curl of the top lip as Blacklock shows down  Qd Td

Richard Blacklock playing 100,000 or so opens to 3,500 at 800-1600

Rupinder Bedi playing 150,000 or so makes it 8,200 in the big blind

Blacklock thinks, inscrutable and impassive. He pauses and makes it 18,700

Back to Bedi. He thinks. Slowly and deliberately 5 bets to 29,100

Back to Blacklock. A pause. A count of his chips. A 6 bet to 53,500

Bedi smiles, coyly. He asks Blacklock how much he has left, peaks at his cards again, pauses and folds

"Jacks?" enquires Blacklock

I don't hear Bedi's answer, its sotto voce.....

Eso Kral shows Two Nines, and allows himself a satisfied smile.

Dean "BulldozerD" Pearson has gone from 110,000 to 260,000 in one level

After a button raise, the small blind shipped 60,000 with 6-6. Pearson found J-J in the big blind called and held

After an open he three bets Aces and finds Queens 4 bet shoving behind to win him another 70,000 pot

Then A-K over an A-J shove for good measure to send his stack into orbit, a clear chip leader

Francis Jones has a sweat against Adebayo

Adebayo button opens to 5,000 at 1,000-2,000

Jones makes it 14,000 in the small blind

Adebayo shoves 80,000*

"Don't worry about me, I've got nothing, ask the table" he gestures to Jones, a recent arrival at the table

Jones immediately says call with  Ac Kh

Adebayo has  Ad Kd

 2s Ks 3d

Jones sits down

 5d

Jones stands up

Adebayo screeches like a gelded canary

 8h leads to the chop

* Two to Adebayo's left is Sam McDonald with over 200,000. I suggest chips have recently gone form former to latter

McDonald extremely dangerous with that sort of stack at this stage.

10k in the pot on  5s 7c 8h
Ben Young checks, seat 8 to 10k. Seat 4 shoves for about 40k.
Ben Young rejams for just shy of 70k. Seat 8 tanks folds 10-9
Seat 4 -  6s Ks
Young -  Ad Ahrt

Brick brick, Young up to about 130k

Sunil Mistri is now... out
Horrible day for him after busting first level at GPS earlier today
He just ran QQ into AA for a sizeable chunk
Then got it in with  Kc Kh against  Qd Jd
Kd is the window card... however two more diamonds eliminates Sunil, from monster stack to out in the last level of the day

Just a quick note to say thank you to everyone that supported this event, especially after the Grand Prix last week. there is no doubt that it is tough times for DTD at the moment with the increased competition locally and accross the UK' so to get 510  unique players was great. I am well aware that it would be impossible to hit this number if certain players did not go out of there way to support us, special thanks to them.........we keep the DTD journey going for u guys

As play ends for the day, 75 runners survive through to Day 2

They join 35 from yesterday to make a total of 110 runners chasing the prize pool of £102,000 tomorrow. Around 50 of those will be paid, and first prize will be in the region of £30-35,000, no deals. Nice.

Play begins then at 3pm

As there are no overnights availabe due to the server being down, I will type them in when I get them in the morning, unless a very kind soul finds them on the DTD site for me and posts them up while I sleep!

All the key blondes have made it through since the last list. Tomorrow should be a corker!

A special request. I'll be commentating the final of the live stream with a special guest.....a volunteer to transcribe the key hands onto the updates as you see them would be most welcome tomorrow night, please

The special guest will only be commentating if he does not make the final. :-) and if he is still awake by then.

How ironic, seeing it was ur  4d 7d that knocked me out after I 3 bet ur "pre flop raise" with AK in level 11. Then u put me all in after I led out on a K high flop, and u rivered 2 pair. ;)

Live by the sword, die by the sword and all that.
