Title: Cash game
Post by: LeedsRhodesy on October 03, 2012, 01:01:21 PM

Is this stranded or bang out of order

My local casino has started a rule in the Omaha games

If more then one table is going the 1st table will become the main table and the 2nd table will be the feeder table BUT if someone leaves the main table and you were the next player you HAVE to move to the main table if you say no you will be banned for the table for two hours

It shoulds so harsh I could of been on the feeder table 3 hours might of just lost a big pot then forced to move is that standard?

Pretty standard - it's to prevent two tables becoming shorthanded and then breaking.

Bog standard, pretty much everywhere.

There is good reasoning behind it, too, though it often seems unfair to those on the "Must Move Table".

Swings & swongs, take it in your stride.

I also use a must move system, but slightly different. I ask them in list order who would like to move to the other table, then if none of them want to move I make the person last on the list the person who must move. Just seems fairer that the person who is most probably the least involved in that game is the person who hasn't been there the longest? Also if no-one has left the main game for 2 hours whilst there is a feeder. The feeder becomes a game in it's own right, if people still want to move then the list is re-activated to balance tables.

That sounds too sensible to actually be sensible...

Are you still at Gentings Derby? How are the games there on a Friday/Saturday these days? I'm staying in Derby this weekend and a visit seems possible

Chris, I was a strong advocate of getting this enforced in Leeds Gala.

It's not only ridic stnd, it's ESSENTIAL for the health of the game.

That is GENIUS!! It should be the standard way of implementing a must-move system IMO.

Yes sir still in Derby squire, Cash games are running a lot better than expected at the moment, during the week we haven't had a day without a DC and 50/1 NLHE.
Ironically at the weekend we cannot use a must move system due to the turn around of recreational players and the fact the cash tables aren't in the cardroom. But if you are coming this weekend on Saturday we have a poker forum booked for the cardroom so there hopefully will be plenty of additional action, and the cash tables will be located in the cardroom. Hope to see you there, say hello.
