Joseph Johnson very shortstacked shoves 5-4 off on the cut off-unopened

and is met by a re-shove by Oliver Fabian on the button with J-J

Next to them Daniel French says "its coming"

3-6-9

French looks slightly pleased with himself

J turn

7 river

Johnson sits down, Fabian is distraught

French "Told you" (entry in the phrases you hate to hear thread)

Johnson doubles up

Tom Rutter shove 100,000 in the hi-jack

Chris Hughes makes what I regarded as a strange call for almost all his chips with A-8o in the small blind

Rutter A-Jss

Rutter flops four to the nut flush, turns the flush and doubles up

32 left, blinds up to 2500-5000

Average is 161,000 and slow going as stack pressure is low

blind on blind Keys raises pre, Leon Campbell calls

Keys bets all the way on  5s 4d Ts 6d and is called down

On the  Ac river Keys bets 100,000 into 140,000

Campbell with 170,000 left thinks and thinks and then thinks some more, and folds...

Hand for hand was brief

On one table Keys raises in the hi-jack and Leon Campbell calls

Keys has been terrorising Campbell all day

Keys bets all the way on 8c  10c  2c 3h and then 85,000 on 7s

Campbell has 100,000 behind and tanks

On another table Atkin raises 8-9 suited

Tom High 3 bets him for the second hand in a row and Atkin 4 bet shoves for 150,000

High calls with 10-10 and holds, knocking Atkin out

Seeing this Campbell (assuming he has cashed 27th, though I think if they go out on the same hand the 27th place is split...) calls and Keys shows Ks Kc to knock Campbell down to the felt

Tnree exits after the break

Nick Crisp shoves A-8 in the cut off

Bash Card Rack finds J-J in the big blind calls

survives an 8 on the flop, four to the flush and straight for Crisp on the turn and knocks Crisp out

---

Marcin Milde jams 12x bb with K-8. Michael Howard with A-Q in the big blind calls and holds

---

David Williams 12,000 UTG+1

Keys 26,000 on the button

Williams calls

10-Q-9

Williams open jam stop and goes 100,000

Keys issues a semi sotto voce wtf and calls with J-9

Williams A-J

10 turn

7 river

Down to 21 and Keys and Mahmood tearing this comp a new one.

A good old fashined Malluing for James Keys

I arrive to see Mallu all in from the big blind for 82,000, pot size well over 250,000

board reads

 7d Kd 9h 3d 4h

Keys calls and mucks when shown  Td 2d

I gather (second hand) that Mallu called a Keys raise, check raised the flop, led the turn and shoved the river

Joseph Johnson knocks out Chris Hughes 21st

9-9 against A-5 on a 5 high flop

Table breaks have delivered a real doozy

Mallu in 5
High in 6
Keys in 7
Mahmood in 8

Probably the 4 chip leaders with 20 left sat in a row

High looking like a naughty school kid stuck in a room of hardened lags, all reticent fluttering eyelashes, butter wouldn't melt in his mouth image. In knitwear too. A licence to bluff.

In fact that line up is if you'd turned up at a Comedy club and found thebill as Michael McIntryre and Jack Dee sandwiched in between Jimmy Tarbuck and Jim Bowen

Sun ny Mistri is battling away

Called a raise from Tom Rutter in the big blind

board K-7-A-5-6

Mistri value bets the river with 7-5 and is paid off

---

Bellamy playing 100,000 is in shove mode

In successive hands he shoves over a Bash Mahmood open from UTG, in the bb

then over a Michael Howard open from the button, in the small blind

Uncalled both times and up to 150,000

--

Tom Rutter meanwhile 3 bets James Clarke from the small blind and gets it through. Clarke with chips playing lots of hands. Second chip leader overall to Alli Mallu

----

17 left, blinds now 5-10k, average 300k  so its steady going at this stage with the short-stacks having three bet shoving stacks/some fold equity.

About 350,000 so above average and hasn't been at risk since his Mallu-ing

With his long neck and thin frame he has the air of a slightly supercillious Ostrich overlooking proceedings.

Staggeringly good table presence. Keys, Not an Ostrich, I wouldn't know about that.

Michael Howard raises to 16,000 UTG

Fraser Bellamy calls UTG+1

Two more callers

In the big blind Alli Mallu makes it 72,000

Howard folds

Bellamy playing 130,000 thinks Mallu is squeezing and decides to gamble for a double up and shoves

Folded to Mallu who calls with A-2o

Bellamy 8-9hh

Bellamy loses his 46-54% shot and is out 15th

Mallu consolidates his chip elad

Checkout the live stream guys, this has the potential to be the best firework display of the weekend. Looks like an excellent mix of good old boys and some excellent online degens.

Really want Ali and Karl heads up but no one would be unhappy at Nick Hicks, Bash and Sunny in the mix at the end.

Pretty sure that a LeedsHoward win might see him and Marching on the next flight out to Vegas to join that other Spewtarf Boz O'Conner.

Just for balance does anyone know the other two guys?

Cliffs include throwing chips all over the table, being rude to everyone, confrontational, being really slow and annoying and abusive and then the worst thing was when he bet in a multiway pot and gave everybody the finger one by one as they folded. Including Kurt! Then he did a fake punch at PJ and got escorted out by Sinclair

Joseph Johnson least deserving finalist ever. Got kicked out of DTD last night for some of the worst conduct and behaviour i've ever seen at the poker table.

GL other finalists, especially Nick Hicks :)

What did he do?  sorry to derail but must be bad for u to mention it..

Oh fairplay must have toned it down for the stream then. Thanks for filling us in  :)up

+1. Details please Alex......

Cliffs include throwing chips all over the table, being rude to everyone, confrontational, being really slow and annoying and abusive and then the worst thing was when he bet in a multiway pot and gave everybody the finger one by one as they folded. Including Kurt! Then he did a fake punch at PJ and got escorted out by Sinclair

looks like butter wouldn't melt

A few beers tho' :)

Great updates, cheers Tighty.

Gutted for Tommy, he could have killed the final table with a stack.

Tommy plays so rarely now, so this is an amazing performance, although that fact may also explain his naive schoolboy error of trying to beat Ali in a race.

Glgl Nick, win it all

I remember Wadey when a mate of his came up to him and said "mate, you'll never guess what has happened" and Wadey replies with something along the lines of "I have heard it all before and I am sick of stories" & I think this was a few weeks after he had an 80k win in something! I kinda laugh at that now, as he loves telling stories his bad beats :) :)

I'f love to watch stream, but PC is having an absolute nightmare & iPad is clueless.

Mistri got the lot 5 handed bb v btn after AQ v btn 4b A10 for 35bbs, nice snap from Sunny when btn was ridic nitty according to Tighty.

Cook guy pretty lolz poker, I wondered whether it was live when in 7 hands he had 1010 3x, AKhh, and 88, played pretty well bar the 88 hand from what I watched though.

Nick bust 4th.

3 handed now with them two and Bash who's short stack with 18bbs I think.

Turned it off when Nick bust.

Sunny shoves his last 100k blind

Bash also calls blind, so cards straight over

Camera didnt show the hands till after the river, but Sunnys K8 beats Bash J2

Bash now ONLY with a 25 to 1 chip lead, 4.8m to 200k.

Goes in again next hand, Bash 78 vs Sunnys 85.

Board runs out xx7xx and Bash is the champion!

Really pleased for Bash and Sunny and amazing how the Dtd regs win time after time. When is it Nicks turn to win one of these things because he probably der serves it more than anyone. It was not hard to enjoy watching it despite the length it ran for especially when listening to Tighty, Ian, Wadey, Frankie and Alex, and the fact i would have been happy to see all but one person win that final. These guys might not be the most technically gifted but they are all great guys who love the game.

I appreciate where Patrick is coming from but had it not been for those particular guys there would be Norway I could have sat through all of that. Maybe a little thought could be given into the line up of co commentators so that a little better balance through the stream could be gained so that you have one or two perfect poker players giving us the correct plays everyhand.

Hang about wtf am I saying. As long as Bash, Wadey, Rastafish, Raggy, Bob Baguley, Fraser, Colin Young, Frankie, Abbassi and Alex keep winning at Dtd I want to know what that are thinking and why. Lets keep all these nuggets in the booth until someone perfect actually wins something at Dtd :)

! Absolutely no thought goes into it at all. It depends who is on hand and willing to give up their stime

These guys volunteer to do a stint and each have a different style. None of the young guns are around on a Sunday evening

I don't mind if someone's analysis is unconventional, gets me thinking, gets the audience thinking.

Hahaha sick rubs from Ian on the live stream  :D
Hope not.No rubdowns intended, crikey who am I to make criticism of another player.Just thinking aloud conversations with Tighty. It's harder than it looks but hoped you enjoyed it.Would love to do it later at night actually but early starts on Monday preclude that.Enjoy the rest, some very deserving players and another great competition from DTD.
think the rubs were about pee jays mum mate and naff all to do with any poker lol

Sorry just saw this, Yeah that's what I meant Ian I don't think you were overly critical of anyone's play on the stream.

yeah once again little thought gone into my post. I guess they are not prepared to miss the Sunday biggies to be sat shooting the breeze with you for the evening. I must say as anchorman you do a great job with whoever you get in the booth.

Another point I picked up on was you mentioning to Wadey about not talking about specific hands, I suppose with Bash inparticular during the breaks. Do you see much information being passed on to the players by the rail at all. With how the way the table was playing I expected at least 2 people to comeback after the breaks firing with all guns blazing and it never materialised. We should have been treated to more fireworks than we actually were in my opinion.

Personally I am always careful NOT to speak to players in the breaks. I don't want to inadvertently give them info if I ask them how they've played hands etc

If someone like Wadey is going to speak to a mate on the table I just make sure he knows not to give away info that a commentator has that the player won't know if cards aren't shown and then make sure everyone on the stream is aware I've had the conversation

Of course as has been discussed elsewhere I am sure info does get from home to rail to player in the breaks, but I wasn't aware of anything specific last night. As you say, nothing in playing styles indicated that adjustments werre made!

Watched pretty much all of the final, and thought all the commentators were very good.

Alex was top class late on, and seems to have a great way of putting in depth analysis in a way that is easy to understand.
Ian had me in stitches at times, particularly when he was talking about groups of lads living in houses in Leeds etc..., and Frankie added something when he did his stint.

I find Wadey very entertaining, with his enthusiasm for the game, and his '100% he's going to jam here bud............. (guy raises small)......see, I told you he was going to raise...'.
It's also a great opportunity to get into the mind of someone who has a successful live record, but maybe thinks in a slightly different way to the good online MTTers. Learnt a lot listening to his thought process.

Rich is obv the class act, and holds it all together wonderfully.

Well played all - never really watched a stream start to finish, but would definitely watch another one.

Wp all, enjoyed the updates, some great entertainment ty tighty, helps make up for not being able to play (again).

I think any commentator would have had a tough job keeping listeners entertained what with the snails pace of the game.  I really couldnt see a pokertechwizz providing much meaningful insight on some of the 'moves' made. Clearly a few people caught up in the relative enormity of the situation.

Anyway would be good to see an end to the critisizing of volunteer commentators, this is a free service, take it for what it is; enjoy it or switch off is my advise.

Any way of watching the replay? Like to see how bad I played and if i was the most card dead out of everyone. Think I was tbh. But was my first live final and am happy with 5th tbh with the run of cards I got.

I think the replay will go up in a few days although last month I think they limited to the final couple of hours (?).
I watched the first three hours of the final table and you are correct, you seemed very card dead which must have been really frustrating.Well done on going so deep and a making a live final.
