Hello,

Background

For those of you that don't know me my name is Dan Carter, I'm 25 and I've been playing poker since I was 16 and professionally since I was 17. Until 2011 I always played on my own but I was really dumb with my money and lost it all in business. I was then backed by John Eames for around a year in which I made some decent money with some swings along the way. At worst I was in $70k MU but a casual chop of the Sunday 500 ended the makeup and the backing deal. I have been on my own back since July last year and done ok. Unfortunately with constant withdrawals to cover bills and debt (credit cards and borrowing ftl) I seem to be playing off a small roll and the pressure is always high.

I'd like a backing deal similar to how mondatoo has done it. I set up a bankroll and people chip in percentages (details will follow).

Stats

I will admit I have run above average in majors and it has inevitably upped my ROI somewhat, especially on party winning the million, because of this I have given a breakdown by stake on party and proves that I am a winner at most of the levels, especially the smaller game that I have predominantly played since July last year.

I've not included FTP or ipoker since I haven't played there as much. On FTP I am down around $20k and iPoker up $100k.


Proposal

For now, I'd like to solely play on stars as the volume of games are high and still really soft at what I'm looking to play. After spending more time with James Atkin lately I've taken a liking to his schedule and I'm going mimic it.

The schedule consists of a ton of $20-30 buy-ins (Approximitely 70% of the games are at this stake) and then a few $50, $80 and $100 tourneys are thrown in there too.

Bankroll

After some thinking I'm going for a $5k starting bankroll. It is a little low for what I am playing but this is for a few reasons. I figured any higher and it will begin putting people off as $500 will be buying you 10% of the stake, it sounds a lot better than it buying you roughly 8% and won't scare people off. I didn't want to run the risk of this taking a long time to sell out or not selling out at all.

Obviously there is a risk in this albeit a low one. I am a long time winning player and in time I will be showing you a profit but this is no guarantee that I won't bust the $5k roll. To help reduce variance I have come up with a rule that if the role drops down below $2k then I will remove the $80+ games from the schedule and include more $15/180 mans.

Key points

• I will be playing 5-7 days a week for 6-8 hour session
• I take 1 week out a month as I have a long distance relationship (don't recommend them) but I will still manage 2 or so sessions
• I will try to abide to the rules but nothing is in stone. I'm not going to play when morale is low and I just start punting
• 100% of my poker played online will be within this stake

Flexibility, shot taking and the nitty gritty

I want this stake to be flexible to keep people happy so I am all ears. I would still like to play the occasional evening session when I am busy or just fancy a change of scene. Sundays are obviously lucrative but are generally much bigger buyins and fields. I would like to occasionally play a Sunday schedule and throw in a few shots but I think this is only a good idea when I'm on good form and people agree.

When going in profit I will split the money up and transfer it across but only if it is a suitable amount. If I am in profit for $50 on the day after getting out of MU I think it's a waste of time sending it across so as a rule anything less than $100 profit after MU I will leave in the account.

All profits will be split 50/50 after MU.

If you decide that you want to drop out without the bankroll going bust then I will require 48 hours notice to give time to find another backer. This is because if I am one backer short regardless of percentage it means I can't play as it is an admin nightmare. If I bust the roll it's likely that it may take a day or two to replace stakers as it takes time to contact people etc. For people who do not want to reload for whatever reason can sell their MU privately at whatever deal they want, I do not want to profit by people withdrawing and the MU being wiped as it can often leave a nasty taste.

I've no idea if this is going to sell out quickly or whether it will in fact sell out at all but as soon/if it does I will be playing the next morning.

Finally, any suggestions please post them whether you think I need a different bankroll or should be playing across an extra site. I will take anything most things into consideration.

I take it you don't live in the UK Dan? Seems like a pretty high variance schedule. Obviously I dont know your timezone etc but not having the big33 in there for starters is a huge mistake imo. One of the softest tourneys on stars.

He lives in Cheltenham.

Big 33 starts at 11pm and the final starts around 5:30pm. I did spend some time thinking about this specific tourney but I don't want to play poker for 12 hours to be honest, I get quite burned out if I do so I decided to leave this one out for now. Perhaps if energy levels are high and I'm deep in a few things late I'll flick it in along with a load of other tourneys.

As for variance, surely as MTT's go this is as low as it can get playing turbos. It's the softest time to play (shhhh) and the fields aren't enormous by any means. Bigger ROI + smaller fields = less variance. Still, a $5k downswing isn't impossible by any means. If I were to play around 250 days a year on this schedule I think I'd go on a $5k downswing 3 or 4 times. Let's hope we can schedule that downswing in the future when I've made you all some profit :D

Serious confusion when the alarm went off at 6am.

First session is finito. I have to say I ran terrible at allins today and really noticed it. Still, I threw in some $3r/180's into the session to keep my screen busy and managed a 3rd, 3rd and a 1st as a bit of damage limitation.

Only deep run in anything worth winning was the early $82 hyper. Atkin busted me in 13th- and he was meant to be an investor!

Session #2 has gotten underway. Full schedule as per usual with a load of $3.50R/180 and $15/180 thrown in to save the day :).

I checked my roi on sharkscope for yesterday- 125%! Amazing to have a losing day with that return on investment.

Managed two 2nd's in the $33 fo's which ended up being day savers. The first couple of hours of the sesh I was playing a bit poor but I managed to turn that around.

Ran bloody terrible in a couple of the big turbo's. Won't be long till I take one of those bad boys down for some decent profit.

Slacking it this morning. Set my alarm for 7:10!!!!

Normal sesh today, hopefully it goes decent as I'd like to play a sunday evening session tomorrow.

Played poor today. Not sure why I didn't play my best but I don't know if anyone out there plays there best every day of the week. First time that results have reflected my effort/performance really and I have something to prove now.

Tomorrow I am teeing off at 1:30pm, bit of an awkward tee time really as I can't play a morning sesh and my evening sesh is going to start a bit later than optimal (since I'm not playing until 2am). I'll likely start around 6pm tomorrow and keep the ABI around $40 and not taking any shots.

Thoughts on playing the pacific rim at 5am ($215 buyin) tomorrow morning if I wake early? Either way I'll probably play a small session in the evening as I can't miss the storm. I'm going to bed now so likely to wake really early. Waiting for positive/negative feedback as I don't want to play it if investors think it's a bad idea after a bad day today. I'll play my best!

I'm sorry it's not gone better, this afternoon was as rubbish as the past few. I just can't beat these idiots lately. I managed about an 11th in an $82 hyper wihich was $5k or so up top (would have been nice!).

As agreed I am going to cut out a few of the bigger tourneys out of my schedule just to keep the variance down. It is obviously less profitable to do this but it was a part of the agreement in the OP as it encouraged people to invest. I'm going for a morning session tomorrow and from tomorrow until Monday I have a challenge vs Atkin of profit earned/games played. Not sure how we are going to declare a winner or what a forfeit will be. We have decided that if we manage to play enough tourneys (about 240 in 6 days) then it will automatically be a draw and no forfeit will be in place.

Regarding variance, it does suck. I could go on a tear tomorrow who knows, $3k is obviously quite a chunk of money but it's not colossal by any means. I am probably going to cut out all the $82 hypers and most of the $100 turbos (keep the hot 109 I think).

Had a couple of decent runs today and my confidence was good again. I kept out all the $100 turbos apart from the hot 109 and I also played the $109 regular (unmissable). I excluded all the $82 hypers as well but threw in the $77 turbo.

So far I have played 221 tournaments and I am down $3176.

I can only keep playing good and a $3k downswing isn't unusual, it's just a shame it had to happen at the start of this stake :P

I have no clue so it's an open question. Would it be better if we all re-load for a little more (back to $5k say) and you play the full original schedule ?

I'd like this but it probably isn't cool. Some people may have decided to invest knowing that I'd drop down a little if I started out on a downswing otherwise I'd potentially burn through the money too quick. I'm happy with $2k in the account for now, I'm only taking out 4 or 5 tournaments out of my schedule anyway so it's not like it's a massive drop.

My schedule costs around $1200 right now, so if I drop below that then I'll call for a reload. Investors can decide if I play a full schedule again or whatever.

Servers on stars reset at midday meaning pretty much everything is turbo and hyper turbo. Since the schedule is a lot smaller I may give it a miss and play a small session in the evening instead.

Booted up an afternoon session after all. I will try not to play long otherwise I won't be able to get up in the morning tomorrow.

Although it's been brutal session #5 and I just busted 50th or something in the $8 2x with 8.5k UT I've got a few stacks deep in some 180's if anyone wants a rail.

Variance is just brutal. It's hard to believe that you'll go on a decent run when you are on such a bad one. Still, the roll could have busted today but I only ended up being down a couple hundred. Played really good today and I'm amazed that my motivation and morale is still pretty high as usually this is my weakness when on a downswing.

If I have a bad session tomorrow morning I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask for a reload. Do whatever you need to do to prepare for that, I hope that I can keep all current investors :).

Yesterday I had a short session as I had afternoon plans. I lost around tree fiddy.

For what it's worth I hope all the investors can not be results orientated. It's merely a downswing. I work hard and already I have played 400 tournaments in 8 days and I am studying my game often. Tomorrow I'm going over a load of hands with MC to make sure everything is in line (I'm pretty sure it is).

If anyone wants to buy DMorgans piece then you can make him an offer on the make-up of his percentage. Currently his 5% is worth $210 of makeup. You'd need to buy this off him for whatever deal you want and then invest another $250 into my bankroll.

After about the worst two weeks possible I have a week off as my girlfriend and family are coming to visit. I need this break to be honest as I'm feeling frustrated outside of poker in the day. I may slip in a few sessions but they will probably be 3-4 hour ones and will mostly consist of sng's. Unfortunately I've grown a bit of a sty on the old eye lid and I'm not sure how it's going to affect my playing hours as it's making my eyes very sore. I'm just railing this thread as I missed out on the buy. That bust/general luck has been f brutal.

I am very good at not moaning when things aren't going my way as it does no good at all. In fact people just get annoyed with moaners. I think a lot of people would have gone berserk if they had to endure what I have had to put up with so far. Of course the only way is up but so far my final table distribution has all been 5th's and 6th's with most of the occasions just being joke bust outs.

Considering my average buyin is $30-40 it is pretty insane to go on a $7.5k downswing if I am playing as profitably as I think I am. It's deffo the worst downswing in terms of buyins I've had to endure and I hate to imagine what would happen if it happens again in the not too distance future. I'm pretty sure I will lose investors if I have to ask for another reload and I can't live off no money for months and months.

Anyway, I had to get that off my chest as today was the first decent winning day since I started this staking thread and it could have easily been a +$4k day.

Played a morning session albeit a small one (7:15am-11:15am). Managed an 11th in the 109 turbo which was exciting as 3.5k up top. Cashed loads of other stuff considering I didn't play too many tourneys then won a SCOOP ME ticket ($1050) for only $24! Going to take a shot with that ticket.

Obviously took the tourney dollars :D.

For some reason this made me laugh.

Forgot to mention something. On Wednesday they restarted the servers and I continued my grind as soon as they came back up. For some reason, I couldn't boot up 2 of the mtt's I was regged in ($109 turbo and $27 KO) and ended up missing 15 minutes and 10% of my chips. I lost 10% because all but 2 people were sat out and kept stealing the blinds. I made a complaint to stars and yesteday I received a full refund for those two tourneys :). Every little helps.

Ahhh no, I see what you are confused by now, my mistake.

The opr image has my stars and party stuff merged. The top half of the image is stars and the bottom half is party. I gave the break down on party because that is where I had been playing for the past 9 months and I'd been playing slightly lower.

Also could I invite someone to view my account history on teamviewer that has invested in this please. I reset my sharkscope data at the start of this investment and it is out by $1200. Sharkscope is normally really accurate so not sure why it's out by so much.

The only thing I can think of is the rebuy estimates since obviously I play through the whole 60 minutes of rebuy periods whilst a lot of fish drop out but that shouldn't add up to $1200. I just don't want any investors to think I've been stealing any money or anything.

Aye, I think I've retired from these until I've done some meditating because I was unbelievably tilted. It didn't help that I entered a $16 2x turbo that for some reason turned out to be a 3x turbo structure (what's that all about?).

Cashed the Scoop 1 M and went pretty deep in the sunday kick off after losing the above pot that would have put me 2/53.

So obviously it's a no brainer to go a little mental in the $5r action hour today. I'm going to play the medium but in one of two ways and I want investors opinions as it's a close call.

I can register at the 60th minute and take 11,000 chips for $155 or I can take the more profitable route but probably higher variance route of regging at the start. The advantages of regging at the start are I can accumilate a really decent stack but if I get stacked then I'm not reloading. There isn't a ton of incentive for me to hang around since the add-on isn't huge in comparison to the rebuys. This route will cost me $105 or $155 and not guarantee I make the second hour.

Otherwise, just a normal schedule. I'll play the late $11r turbo scoop but the $100r is too rich.

Just realised that I'll have to play the last level of rebuys because of late reg finishing during the sync break. I'm gonna reg it up now and if I bust then I won't rebuy.

Managed to last an hour without busting my chips in the SCOOP M. Just need to hope I can make the next 5 minutes.

SCOOP L is going good so far and I've got a couple of other big stacks going (Hot 33 and $11r action hour)

Hello,

So far I've played around 6-7 weeks worth and not done very well. Unfortunately I'm now down $9700 (Current roll $300 aka bust). I figured I owe everyone a run down on how I'm feeling and how I've performed across the stakes.

I'm obviously really gutted and I feel bad for people that don't know me too well and have had a bit of a punt at that. I equally feel bad for everyone who has lost money thus far in this investment and I'll feel bad for anyone who has to drop out. I totally understand people that would like to drop out since I wasn't expecting to lose $10k with an ABI of $40. It's not standard by any means but certainly doable.

I don't feel like I've been playing badly, in fact I feel that I've been playing good! I've reviewed my game regularly and I just had a 2 hour session with James going over the two $109 fo's I went deep in yesterday.

I still can't comprehend myself that I've been on such a downer. Morale is still ok and I want to keep playing but one part of me is still surprised to say the least.

I decided to run a check on sharkscope to see how I'd been doing on lower vs higher buy-in stuff so here it is:

So far it seems that the smaller stuff has been average/good. 33% ROI is ok at these stakes but nothing special, a bit below what I should be achieving I think. The $33+ games (ABI $74) are obviously where it's gone wrong. I have completely bricked these and have had a lot of 5th-12th finishes. I'm definitely beating these games too, they have a lot more regs in but after the review I had with James earlier (and a lot of laughs) there are still a lot of monkeys clicking buttons here.


I was looking to play a lot of poker over the next 2 days (Stag do this weekend in Newquay) but it's not going to happen now since I won't be able to collect investors money in time. It gives everyone who has invested some time to think about if they want to drop out (there is one buyer in line that I am aware of for those of you concerned). Once again I'm very sorry and gutted for people who have lost money and had faith in me, it does seem pretty awful timing and doesn't feel real I'm sure.

I am pretty determined to keep my chin up and come back. Like I said in the OP I've been in roughly $60k MU before (albeit much bigger stuff) and I'm a better player/person than back then. Shot taking is pretty much going out of the window for a while since the negative effects are not outweighing the positive ones unless I win $10k. I had already dropped the $82 hypers from the schedule a week ago to lower the variance. It seems like a bloody long climb before I will get this money back but I think that out of a lot of people that you could invest in, I'd be a likely contender to keep my head up and grind through this.

Please post your thoughts and investors could you let me know in the next couple of days how you would like to progress(via pm or here). Obviously if you are dropping out I'd like to know sooner because new investors will need to come in.

I've done several sessions with Dan and he seems to be playing well to me, certainly in the 2 hh's we spent a couple of hours going through today there were no apparent mistakes/leaks. His attitude seems really level-headed as well considering the situation, although he's obv bummed for us investors/himself.

So dirty how you're running at the bigger buy-ins, def feel like for the schedule you're playing we're running incredibly bad, no >$1k binks in >$40 games is bound to do that, yuck.

Obviously 3 bullets is quite a bit to fire with this kind of makeup, so anyone is looking to drop out, feel free to PM me with an offer/to discuss selling make-up.

Dan - I believe in your ability and was very keen to be involved in this stake and would like to keep going but I have to admit I have some concerns.  I just read over your original post and there are a few things in it that you haven't really kept to.

 Firstly, you said that when the roll went below $2k you would remove the $80+ games and play more $15 180's but the other day with the roll stood at under $1200 you were playing $109 freezeouts.  You have effectively gone through $10k so far and if we, as investors chip in another $5k I think you will possibly be starting to run dry of investors a little which affects me as an investor as much as you because if people don't keep chipping in we have no chance of getting out of makeup.  As such I think that the higher buyin tournaments represent too high a risk to the roll at this stage in the lifespan of the stake and would prefer to stick to tournaments that represent 1% of the roll or less.  I know that initially the idea would be to be taking some shots but at this stage I would rather have hard and fast rules and just see you really grinding it back up even if that means playing $10 FO's.

Secondly, you suggested you would be playing 5-7 days a week.  So far this month you have only played 14 out of the last 30 days properly.  I don't have a huge issue with this and obviously there are occasions when you need some time off and that is fine by me but the problem is that I don't feel like I know what your results are and what is happening with the stake on a day to day basis.  It would be great if you could update the thread on a daily basis with an idea of how many games were played and what the total stake was and what the returns were.  I know it is a bit of a pain to keep admin type tasks like that but it really helps with transparency and is a cost of being staked.  Until I went to OPR just now I honestly had no idea when you were playing and when you weren't.  Part of the appeal of these kind of stakes is the sweat factor too so it is good to keep us up to date.

I definitely agree with you that Dan should post daily updates, he has been a bit slack at times, it really isn't that hard to give a daily total of everything, and I've always done it on these kind of stakes.

I think his volume on the whole has been pretty reasonable, he's put a decent amount of hours in afaik, and he did mention taking a week off per month so he's not that far below what he said...but yeah obviously the more the better.

What I don't agree with is Dan playing $10 freezeouts. He is $10k in makeup and trying to do this for a living. He's had 2 months with no wages, and you're basically committing him to another couple by saying that. All the while we'll be losing the value of him not playing the higher buy-in games. The OP is pretty clear about what he's going the play, at no point does it mention a 1% rule. Ok, you're probs right that he should have dropped a couple of $109s from the schedule at times given what he said in his OP (although I'd prefer he play them) so I guess you have a point about that, but he has been dropping his higher variance games for the most part.

Personally, I would like Dan to keep playing his full schedule all the time so he can earn our money back as quickly as possible.

1% of $5k would be $50 FO's but if we get to the point where the roll is back at $1k we have to be realistic that people aren't going to just keep ponying up money with no return so we are either going to end up leaving a bunch of make up on the table or he has to effectively treat this $5k as his roll and play within it so yeah at that point play $10 Fo's.  I appreciate he hasn't had any wages for a couple of months now.  That is the reality of being a professional gambler unfortunately.  I have had many months with no wages myself and I get my head down and work harder with a smaller roll to get back up there and I am sure you have done similar.  The simple fact of the matter is that $100 FO's are shot taking with a $5k roll and definitely when it reaches $3k or so.  I was fairly happy with that on the basis that I half expected to put in a couple of bullets but there is a point at which you just have to assume the stake is going to come to an end and we can be at a point where we cant get out of MU surely and that is the worst possible scenario for all parties especially stakers.

But it isn't really a $5k roll in the traditional sense. Mondatoo is playing $36 180-mans off a $4k roll. That's still shot-taking to some degree. I don't want him to switch to $8 games just because his in-play roll goes down to $1k, nor would he when his OP makes no mention of playing anything other than $36 180-mans.

Firstly an apology is due for my poor communication at times. It's certainly a life weakness of mine and once again I apologise. I have to say, when you're doing your nuts the last thing you feel like doing is coming on, making a report saying "I'm doing my bollocks" but that's not an excuse.

Firstly regarding the BRM. I have been fairly strict but I'll be honest I've not taken the $109 fo's out. I have to say, I felt that it'd be a poor decision to leave these out. They are really soft and I don't really want to advertise this too much. I've not played an $82 hyper since the 11th May (12 days ago) since I can't be bothered with the variance and it's not in everyone's interest that I play these whilst in quite a bit of MU. Perhaps whether I should play the reg speed $109's any more should be open for discussion but I will totally agree with you on the turbos and perhaps take the $51 hypers out too. As for any of the Sunday majors, once again, those will have to be put aside unless I've gone on a mad heater or I put time into satelliting into them or something.

Secondly I would like to address the issue you have with my volume. This might be down to me not being great at updating this thread (I will do better from now) but I think you couldn't be further from the truth. Fair enough, every day I play might not be a full session but according to sharkscope I have played 38/49 days (take a week out a month then that is no days off). Holdem manager says that I've played for 335 hours which works out at 47.9 hours a week. I think that is extremely high when you take into account that I have a week off a month. I could possibly be accused of burning myself out rather than slacking!

Yeah volume has been absolutely fine Dan, I'm happy to keep the 109s in there and just drop all the hypers. If you wanna play sunday majors I'd suggest just playing a few sats to them, obv they're ridic soft. I don't know how experienced you are with satellites in general but wouldn't be hard to pick up.

Just to be clear I don't really have an issue with the volume more with knowing when you have played.     My biggest issue at this stage is bankroll management.  If every staker wants to say that they are down for two more bullets or one staker says they are willing to  buy makeup and make up the difference if we lose this $5k then I can live with $109 but on the basis of a $5k stake then I think it is too high.

I want to keep everyone happy. If I said I was going to cut out the $109fo's and $50 turbos then I would probably upset more people than I would keep happy. I totally understand your view though. From here on out I will drop $109 turbos until I am winning for a while, same for the $82's (already dropped anyway), $75 turbos and $51 hypers.

Here are two links to my hand histories from the two $109fo's I played yesterday. I went through these with James because I went deep in them and had some decent hands. Here you can see that I am capable of playing ok (There is no argument against this yet) and that clearly there are some complete and utter plonkers playing these games and it's great!

TBH I think you are right. I think peoples edges in the turbo's are smaller than what they think they are. Mainly due to the rake. I mean $100+9 is a bit of a joke to be honest. They are still worth playing though, but perhaps because a good players ROI is around the 10-15% mark for $50+ buyins then you need a bigger roll than perhaps initially anticipated.

IMO you seem to have massively underestimated variance in mtt's especially turbos and this downswing isn't surprising or even a big one. 80% of your games have been turbo/hypers with a very high ABI that is only as low as $40 because of the amount of $3r/$15 180mans you have played. As Adam has posted in the link above, some of the very top MTT grinders in the world only have 8-10% ROI's in these big buyin turbos over 60,000 games (pretty significant sample) and I would imagine they play near perfectly in them. To go on a 250 buyin downswing playing this current schedule really isn't that big and I think if your going to continue to play this schedule then investors should realise they might have to go 4/5 bullets deep in this (that is not a knock on you in any way or your ability btw, I don't think I have ever played with you and have no opinion on your game its just the facts for everyone) I recently went on a 1200 buyin downswing playing with an ABI of about $25 and 35-40% turbos so I know what a cruel mistress variance can be even with a higher proportion of reg speed games and I'm sure other people have been on downswings 5x as big as that.

Im not an investor and I don't want to put anyone off including yourself but I think your game selection really needs work and I think you need a bit of a wake up call when it comes to variance/downswings.

Got some kind of virus which is what I figured last night. Had the worst night sleep ever but after dosing myself up with paracetamol and ibuprofen I feel a bit better. I've been ignoring the ISPT because I've been so focused on this but I can't ignore the softness of satellites and the potential overlay of it all. €300 is too much to take out of this staking deal for a day 1 so I'm going to play the €30 satellites that arerunning for the next 3 days. I also have someone I can room share with for the first 3 nights so I don't need to worry too much about expenses.

Someone has also kindly offered me a small free-roll in the day 1's so I can play them even if I don't win a seat. Due to the complications of me putting the time in if I happen to get into day 2 I will give all of my winnings to this staking deal as I'm in quite a bit of make-up and I don't think I can justify playing poker outside of this BAP otherwise. The freeroll is 30-50% depending on how much I spend on the next 3 day 1's.

Some other good news is that I'll be able to grind tomorrow as I'm feeling a lot better already.

Regarding the other party who is giving me a freeroll I think I need a little re-think on the offer of me putting all my winnings into the stake as it's obviously a complete freeroll for everyone here. As I will potentially have only 30% of myself then I'd end up with a very small % of myself. I think I'd still like to pay most off make-up first before taking anything myself though. Even with this, I will need to final before I take a cut for myself. It's times like these I think it's generally impossible to have any significant down-swing. So far I've witnessed an open and a fold to a 5bb jam and two people folding with less than a bb to try and ladder an $8/180.

Nah 33 is deffo a call. I think 78s is even a call you know.


No I didn't realise they are €33 satellites but w/e.

If he's jamming correctly then he's supposed to jam 50% of his range here according to nash. I'd imagine that's probably what tight players would jam here and some others even looser. We are getting 1.7 to 1 so we need 37% equity against his range. We have 49% so it's a clear call. 78s has 40% equity so it's pretty close because the guy behind calls sometimes and really ruins our equity when he does.

He opened button around 70%. He seemed to raise fold a few times but when that short I'm sure K5s is ok. Obv looks not so good because he ends up having tens and he'd 3x'd it a few times before, so I can't really assume the 3x meant strength.

Yeah so even if he is calling off most of the time, I checked and he had 11bb's so if he jammed it's a call I think.

60 left and was 40th. Had Queens UTG+1 in the satty (50 seats) so jammed the 7 bigs and AQs looked me up and binked an ace. No ISPT. JOKE.

Was a decent session because of the super deep run in the hotter 33. Had another couple of semi deep runs but once again that final hurdle seems to feel impossible to get over.

Unsure of what hours I'm playing tomorrow, I quite fancy a morning session to be honest.

Going to just play some sng's for 2 hours before I go to golf. I will grind again in the evening most likely.

Started my session at 6:45. Normal sesh apart from the fact I'm going to win 3k today, just thought I'd like to say.

Session going terrible so far. According to Einstein the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Sums up the last 2 months of my grind. Somehow it hasn't turned me insane but I feel on the brink with how awful I've been running. Hopefully investors understand how brutal variance can be and how well I've been taking it so far. I'm still playing good (apparently) and still grinding really hard.

Jesus the circus is in town today. Built up a good stack in the $77 6max early doors at a fantastic table to lose a flip for the lot AQ < JJ. Doubled early in hot 109 and got a decent stack in a $16 turbo too.

Had a decent sweat in the $22 6max. Was CL for ages but busted 9th. Couldn't post about it because my computer was lagging like a bitch.

I have silently been railing Dan in his $11 6 max and he has just crushed it from what I have seen. OK he could of just had hands (?!?!??!whatever), but he has been top 10 in chips all the way playing no shown down poker, really picking spots well and generally crushing

He then calls off KQ bvb vs K2 and gets rivered to the 2

I watched a few of Dans games now, and he really seems to be playing good! So jokes that he is either finding people behind with KK or losing 70% shots everytime he runs deep.

I obv understand variance and MTTs but from an external observer POV and not being involved in the stakes, Dan is playing great and running so bad!

Like I say, Dan doesn't know I am even watching, doesnt know I've written  this, but im pretty sure this will have the ability to turn around spectacularly when it does.
