So the competition

The Monte Carlo is £500,000 GTD

280 or so players will have qualified in through the stupendous programme of satellites DTD have offered

You have to tell me, by the time registration closes on Friday, how many entries will the Monte Carlo have?

Closest two to the bull, win the free book

In the event of ties, I will panic, do a tiebreaker

Post answers on here ONLY

Entries for this competition close at midday Thursday, before Day 1b.....

Frankie rthinks and thinks, clock called, thinks some more

Alex Goulder raises to 500 at 100-200

Next to him Vasile Cosmin Stancu calls

In the big blind Scott Margereson calls

 7h Tc 7d

check

Goulder 1300

Stancu makes it 2300

Scott folds, Goulder calls with a sidewards glance, and a very middle class expression of bewilderment, as if someone has begun talking to him on the tube. Not that he'd know what public transport is

 2c

Goulder checks

Stancu 2300

Call

3s

check check

Goulder's Jacks..

I don't know Jordan personally but know him from watching and prior to that by reputation from the South London poker scene he frequents

So this is not meant to be rude, but he's a maniac on the felt

Which means I will be watching his table

I saw Pleno 3 bet to 2100 over a 600 open and Jordan 4 bet to 5000 in the small blind, getting it through.....

Had a quick chat with Jake Cody in the break (semi-interview)

- cliffs

- perfect start with his Stars deal, a deep run at the PCA in his first event for them, then the win at the weekend in the first UKIPT Series event at the Hippodrome

- Has a flight booked to EPT Berlin on Sunday which, he says "I rarely for me had booked and planned weeks ago"

- He has to re-book if he runs deep here

- He finalled the last Monte Carlo he played (Rastafish win)

- plans for the next few months are all the biggies such as EPTs then two months solid at the WSOP

- Aim, of course, to bracelet-hunt after his HU event bracelet in the early stages of last year

cambridge Alex doubles on what he descirbes elsewhere as "an amzing table"

"7b jammed 25k at 150/300 with QQ vs Aggro Santos' AK.

Didnt really want to get involved like that, but he forced me too! Was 5b calling then he click 6b to 40% of my stack, but still went with it and held."

message from DTD, to pass on

Serious value...we have really low runners for the online and live Monte Carlo MEGA SATS tonight! Last night we GTD 30 seats between the 2 and gave 10 of them away for FREE due to low runners!!!

Tonight:-

LIVE £50 Rebuy (Reg 8pm - 9.50pm) 20 x £1,100 seats GTD (21 in so far & will 100% run)
ONLINE £100 1R 1A (Reg 8.30pm - 10.10pm) 10 x £1,100 seats GTD (8 in so far, need 21 to run)

The Monte Carlo is GTD at £500,000 and the winner will walk away with roughly £125,000....If I was allowed I would play this....massive value!!

http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/news/last-chance-monte-carlo-satellites---110-seats-gtd/2333

back to me...

the live sat is starting with 22 runners, 20 seats GTD

Late reg til 9.50pm if you are close enough and fancy a £50/£100 punt at a shot at a big spin up....

Paul Newman opens to 1400

Dennis Troake calls on the button

Daniel Hardy 3100 in the small blind

Newman all in 15,300

Troake folds

Hardy calls with  Qs  Qh

Newman  Aspades Js

 Kh Ad 6h Jh

river... Qd

to consolidate Hardy's chip lead

Daniel is from Kent, a Live player not an online player and busy bantering with table-mates titaniumbean and Pleno about his luckboxing abilities....

How's Peter Gardiner doing

Lee Williamson raises to 1400 UTG with 9-9

Peter Gardiner calls in the big blind with 6-8

Anyone would think he was playing at Genting Luton

10-7-4, giving the Eel on wheels a double gutter

Gardiner check raises Williamson, call

Ace on the turn, a third club

check check

Offsuit King on the river

Gardiner 4500 with 8 high

Williamson calls with the nines

Williamson up towards 100,000

Gardiner, rueful but ever smiling, about 40,000

Tom High opens UTG 10-10 1,200 from 34,000

Chris Sly announces raise but only puts in 1300. He is held to make it 1800

High senses weakness and makes it 5200

Sly shoves, setting High in

High calls off and is racing A-Qo

3-A-4-J-2 knocks High out

Sly now well over 100,000

Dennis Torake raises to 2,000

Alan Stearn calls

As if considering a Big Mac or a Quarter pounder with a raise of an eyebrow and a skyward look, Mitch Johnson calls on the button, rather than a raise he appears to be considering

Ian Turner and Patrick Leonard complete and check in the blinds

2-3-3 flop

Checked to Stearn who bets 10,000 with 17,000 behind

Mitch Johnson flats

Turner and Leonard pass and Troake contemplates, eventually passing

turn 8

Stearn shoves 9-9

Johnson instant whips with 2-2 for the flopped house to knock Alan Stearn out

Mitch is very close to the chip lead

A 170,000 pot between John Eames and Wadey Ashraf, that creates a new chip leader......

Eames raises

Wadey 3 bets to 5,500 with  8h 9h in the blinds

Eames calls

 9s Th 4h flop.

Nice Wadey, nice

Wadey leads, Eames raises, Wadey calls

7d, so Wadey is flushing, straightening and paired

Wadey check calls

 9c river

Good or bad news do we think?........

Wadey checks

Eames sets him in....

Wadey calls and is knocked out by  4c 4d for flopped set, rivered full house

Eames now a 230,000 chipleader

Wadey out, try tomorrow

John Engledow shoves the big

---

Stacey Coore button raises

Chinese Frankie stops ribbing Staurt Fox for coming from Dudley and having "the worst accent in England innit" long enough to call in the small blind

Rupinder Bedi calls in the big

K-2-A flop

check to Coore who c-bets

all check

5 river

check

Bedi 9,500 into about 30,000

Mistake earlier, I reported Devilfish out

He's wasn't, I was given the wrong seat number on the hand written down for me

Apologies

Devilfish had almost enough chips for a while that I thought that he'll be in the bar with his guitar later
