Far too good for someone so young. Learnt everything he knew from dad actionjack, then fortunately (kids being kids) forgot it all. Ludicrously aggressive pre-flop, his demeanour at the felt has remanined unchanged for two days. My task today is to get him to crack a smile.

Richard Trigg

One of then top UK Online players, Rick is a relatively infrequent presence at UK live events, preferring the company of his silver shorts, twenty silk cut and the racing post to interacting with other poker players. Seems reasonable enough. Now has the chips, having been below average most of yesterday, to do real damage in this.

Jack Allen

One of the valets has an enormous crush on Jack. Screw the poker, Jack simply runs too good.

Charles Akadiri

A regular at DTD Deepstacks, and a frequent Day 2 casher, Charles, from London I believe, stood toe to toe with one of the toughest tables in the room yesterday and didn't take a backward step. Not the highest profile in the room but extremely competent

Lee Williamson

Lee, a Carpenter and joiner from Leicester, would be an other popular winner of this. Regular poster on here, he has beend ealing with family health problems recently and has done so with fortitude. Has spent the morning browsing car dealer brochures for new White Vans. Ford Leicester are funking him winning this hard.

Ravinder Chahal

I know nothing about Ravi, there's no Hendon Mob entry and I haven't got anything to go on except to say that the way I run he is a cast iron certainty to win this because of this

Mitch gave up two promising careers to grind poker for a living. A memeber of Team Blue Blood. I do not know what Team Blue Blood is. I reckon blue blood is probably colder than red blood, so I suppose the marketing message is that the team plays with ice in their veins or something? Anyway, I will try not to dwell on my MBA Marketing course, and wish him luck

Andrew Wayman

Is it? Yes it bloody well is, its a live cash for titanium bean. Wonders never cease. While I think of it, I am going to TRY to take the lappie into the comm box and update alongside commentary later.

Its one of my few bugbears with these weekends that when commentary starts, the updates stop. Put blood sweat and tears into them for days and just when they reach a crescendo they go flat as I can't keep them going

However, realistically

a) the stream is important, and promotes DTD well and everyone prefers to watch (of course) so that has to be a priority and

b) its unlikely I'll be able to cover everything


so, the usual request...if someone can volunteer to update the key hands from the final from their laptop screen I would be enormously grateful.

It's great that two such talented players came 1 and 2, but added bonus that they're two of the nicest most popular characters in UK poker aswell.

I'm absolutely exhausted and haven't had chance to go through thread fully yet but just wanted to say quick thanks to Dreenie for covering the hands and to everyone supporting on the rail.

Congrats to Kevin Allen, played so sick as did Trigg, much deserved for both of them.

Congrats to all the Blondes especially Trigg, really happy for him.

you could throw bricks at the UK poker community for hours before you hit one person who would begrudge either of these two a big score, pure class through and through on and off the table.

Also, impressed from what I saw of Jamie, a bit rusty in some elements of his game tbh but defo talented and showed a lot of heart today, he came to play no doubt about it, thoroughly deserved.

just to add, didnt see a misdeal in 3 days, the dealers were a different class, tourney never got below 35bb average all the way through, valets, massage girls, what an event

Congratulations to Rob and the whole team at DTD for putting on an excellent tournament with a satellite structure allowing nits like me to qualify on the cheap. It was a great achievement to make the guarantee especially as focus has been on the ISPT. I also thought the food and drink vouchers were a nice little touch.

I really enjoyed playing in the tournament especially the few hours on day 2 where I shared a table with Trigg who was clearly focused and playing really well.

Was disappointed to bubble the 'Tighty Bios' as I was the last exit on day 2 going out in 31st place.

I asked Trigg afterwards about the hand. In commentary I wondered if Trigg had put Kev on a big draw like Q-J and thought his pair was ahead. Trigg says he just couldn't put Kev on an Ace, and thought his pair was good

I really appreciated Dreenie's contribution to the update last night.

A very nice gesture which complemented the sublime skills of his tightness.

Big ups to Alex, Eso and Rich on commentary too.

It was a great tourney with a fantastic turnout, probably as good as it gets.

Top man Tighty your updates were out of this world, so many clever gags.

DTD once again showed why they are the best card room in the UK by far, the place just oozes class.  Rob Yong just constantly keeps raising the bar with his monster guarantees and to break it with 504 runners was fantastic, the man is just brilliant for UK poker.

Thanks to the final table dealers for constantly dealing me monsters (my Nan could have played most the hands) also well played to all the finalists was a pleasure playing with you, but special mention goes to my good pal Rich Trigg, he has put so much hard work and effort into his game over the last year or so he is now reaping the rewards he fully deserves.

To see my kids beaming faces when I came home with the £120k cheque and the trophy was priceless, my 3 year old boy just kept walking around with the trophy saying "Daddy is the champion"
