Vegas 2013
I have just returned from a three month trip to Asia and Australia - poker and R&R and am now confirming my plans for Vegas.  I will be in town from 11th June 2013 until 15th July 2013.

I have pulled together a schedule of events I intend to play over the 4 week period.  I have included 15 events including the main; stakers will have the opportunity to take action in either the whole package or just the side events.  I have priced the Main Event competitively, so at this stage I will not consider selling the Main Event standalone.  As always I have tried to provide an overall package that represents good value to Blonde Members and my friends on Facebook.

In would like to sell 30% and retain 70% of my action, so I hope you appreciate I am pretty confident of having a good summer; however its Vegas. I will play side schedule regardless of selling 30% and will play whole schedule if we sell out.  There is a very small chance we may swerve main if we didn’t sell out – then bricked everything, more likely I would sell more action in line with Clause 7.

About me
I think most people know me here now...I'd say I am a slightly above average player, who runs good occasionally and has had some good online wins (historically) and good results from smallish sample size live in last couple of years. I also am very active on the staking board and have numerous financial transactions on here and I can provide numerous references around my integrity with historic transactions - including Tikay and Flushy who had a chunk of me at WPT Ireland last year and stakers on my recent Macau and Cebu Stake. I clearly will not use the word “vouch” after recent events.

2012 was a weird year, back to work after a bad first five months of year on line. The year was good live, only played six events at £1000+ (Irish Open, WPT Ireland, 2x GUKPT and 2x WSOP) and final tabled two of them (unofficial final before Vinny is in WPT Ireland) took a horrendous day two beats at Irish Open, a solid day two GUKPT London and well, Vegas - like I always do. Bad.  

To give balance I also played six events over £500 and bricked them; however a healthy profit on 2012 - albeit redic small sample size. Solid results two years previous, altho Vegas not great and bricked a schedule sold in 2011 despite some deep runs.

I have recently returned from a trip to WSOP Apac and Asia.  The trip was profitable, with a total return of $26,500 from stakes of $10,000. Unfortunately for stakers,  I chopped a $500 non bracelet side in Melbourne for $21,500 and also finished 14th in APPT Cebu, with a horrible exit. The Melbourne result is not on my Hendon Mob as Crown haven't provided results - plenty know it did happen.

Online; summary winning player for 5 years across all sites, absolute disaster and losing player 2012/13.  I'd like to think its variance; reality is that may be some explanation, however games have got tougher, I stopped putting time in and working on game, went back to work - and think I'm just not good enough to beat the games I was playing, high stakes MTT without a ton of work and my brain thinking like it was ten years younger.

Clauses
1.   I reserve the right to not play some side events and substitute for a similar event.  For those of you that have spent five weeks in Vegas, plans change and hopefully Day Twos mean we may tweak the schedule
2.   Exchange rate locked in at 1.52 for initial stake- and I will pay back any returns to level of original stake at same rate.  Any profit will then be at rate I receive or in cash US$.  I will provide evidence of rate.
3.   I will keep all tournament receipts for Audit if required
4.   Payment to be made by Bank Transfer prior to my departure on 11th June 2013
5.   If we sell out I will play the entire schedule and Main Event.  Should we not sell out, I will play all the side events regardless and reserve the right to either a) refund main event stakes plus mark up or b) more likely sell additional action up-to a maximum of 50%
6.   I may play other events under $1k on my own dime if we have downtime – e.g. Venetian $400.  I have planned schedule with some downtime and recovery time.
7.   In the unlikely event I play an additional event over $1k and cannot be substituted towards end of series, I will give stakers 24 hrs via PM to take action at spot. This is unlikely, however if we do a win early may want to play $5k for example at Rio.
8.   If I am in a situation where a previous staker has missed action I reserve right to sell and additional 5% to a maximum of 35% if required.

I've not been buying action lately, am saving my pennies for Vegas, but this was too good to resist. Beautifully presented, too. Think he must have got Vinny to write it for him.

As it happens, this year, for Vegas, I'm far more likely to buy "packages" of 10 or more Events like this than stakes in individual Events. Spreads the variance, & I get more bangs per buck. It means I buy a lesser % of course, but cant have it both ways.

Guys - hate to do this al ready but in the spirit of proffesionalism I will.

Some very good friends have decided to have there honeymoon in Vegas - after I am in the doghouse for missing wedding.  They are only in Vegas 3 nights and want a "big night out" - including there wedding present on Sunday 30th June.  That means I cant play the $1500 on 29th and potetially the $2.5k on 1st July, as I wouldnt play hungover.

OPTION ONE:  We play the $5k on July 2nd - at 1.0 markup so if we take both above events with Mark Up its $4500.  As I am a nice bloke as redarmi points out Id suggest we buy in, no more money sent and if I brick this event I'll stand the extra $500, if we cash I take first $500 before any returns

OPTION TWO: We play $1100 at Venetian on 2/7 and then have max 3x bullets at WSOP Event 58, the $1111 charidy event - obv if we dont use refunds in pot.

Obv no hurry - if anyone has any strong views message me or post ITT.  I am planning to keep a photo copy of all receipts anyway so we can tally any refunds at end.  If noone has any firm views I wil lmake decision near the time, just conscious the $5k is a different sort of event, better field etc

Not really fussed, although sticking to shooting fish in a barrel makes most sense to me :)

We're all good to go....as $$$ rate has dropped 5c and I am a clown, took Ruperts advice and opened US$ account with FD and used UK Forex to secure 1.5060 this am - our wire is winging its way to Vegas

I will use this thread to update - dont expect in depth stuff however I will briefly update each tourne and current status

In terms of the $4k ($2500+$1500 cancelled) "lwft" I will use as a fund to play $1k plus and see how I feel - if we get to $5k and I gancy it I will do the deal as previously communicated.  If I dip into the $4k earlier due to exits I will post here on day of new event - and as I said earlier Im going to take a snap of each receipt.

Couple of payments to come; all good - then we are good to go...just two weeks to kill and I havent got a Wemberley seat yet.  Gl us.

Off to get this show on the road, obv wide awake at 7am today fml.

Have got nearly all stakers on Facebook and set a closed group up where I will update, leave copies of receipts and update on schedule changes as all a bit easier. Will copy and paste on here when I have time.

Well first day over. Please don't expect long write ups as I haven't got the energy...playing is enough.  We have out first day two in the bag, albeit we are going back with 28 bigs.  Played ok, although made one mistake when I 5 bet folded which clearly should Never do - brain freeze. Can't be clear on what were playing for as they didn't merge days 1a and 1b, however about 450 runners with 90 left.  Probably over $100k up top. Gl us.

As a result we have had to unreg Rio $1500 to tomorrow. I will give you summary update as listed below, so we now have $5500 to reschedule. I'll probably focus on some of the other mains like Binions, Aria and Venetian at the $1k mark rather than the $5k however let you know before I play. Gl us tomorrow.

Just lost a 54k pot at 300/600 with  Qh Qs v  Kc Kh when it looked for the world like a great spot for him to cold 4 button.  Betting went 1400, I 3 bet 3500 from 25k, suppose I can peel but happy to play raiser - button makes it 12k which is kinda weird and I decide to jam....maybe overplayed it but only had 40 bigs an liked spot.

Played well today after so nearly tilting level two - wont bore you with details but had a rant on Facebook, smoked some fags chilled out and regrouped and really disappointed after I grinded, was at 10k most of day and actually 5k at 250/500.

Sort of pleased were done with the small buy in stuff and they're the ones we've bricked. Four tourneys but only 12% of roll :)

Gone level 4 - I hate type this shit as it sounds like every other post I read but got to 5k without showdown, level four 75/150 - it was turbo. Peel utg raise on button with AcJx - flop Jc2c4c and we get it all in he has two red Aces obv and I get the obligatory fist pump when he holds and wahoooo. Nice hand air.

Right update and plans.  I wasn't sure my numbers were right, so thought I'd summarise what we have played and how we stand and plans for next couple of weeks.

So we had a schedule of $30,380 originally - with a couple of question marks around next weekend.  So far we have actually played the following (all receipts on Facebook)

Busted level six - tilted beyond belief today, ran 4.5k upto 11k pretty easily. Then the same kid who busted me in 3k and has been 3 betting me all day again, 3s from Sb again, I 4bet 78dd he peels. Flop TT7, check, bet, raise - I know he's full of shit so I jam - he tank calls of AQ and gets there. Doubled TT v AQ to get back to 7k then defend K8hh in BB v button raise, 8xxhh - he obv has A8 and holds. Happy days. Will do numbers in a bit

Well, what can I say about today? It has undoubtedly been the toughest day of poker I have ever played. Started day with 117k, peaked at 165k and went as low as 65k in the last level.

Table was incredibly tough - online high stakes MTT players all day, including badbeatslayer, pearl jammer, and a couple of others - then others rocking up.

Disappointed with middle levels, pearl jammer absolutely put me in a coffin, completely outclassed me and forced me into at least three mistakes. Was really disappointed - as usually the one thing I have going for me is "self awareness" - and I can spot when people are technically better than me (many are) and adjust to give myself some chance. However during levels three and four today I played to many pots oop v him and got owned. You can see the pain in my face in Tikays pics on blonde Wsop thread.

Anyway, Kev and Sam said a couple of little things in last break which really helped. Regained some composure after dropping to 65k and managed to get back to 137,900 at the end, without showdown. So we end the day on a high and the dream is still alive.

We bagged up at 437,500 - of course I am delighted with how day went.  We did peak at 460k, just before dinner however spun down to 280k.  After other pep talk and some coaching from Kev - the guys a legend and went small ball again and managed to pick up 150k last level of the day.

Well, you've seen updates; up and down day but we have a chance on Day Five - Id have taken that at start of the summer.  It was really tough last couple of levels, and lost quite a big hand last hand of the day.  On the bright side, we've got 31 bigs and we get to flirt with Annette tomorrow whos transformation is reminiscent of one of Sir Marks fillys from 2 to 3 :)

So, that's us done. I would write a long report, however I am very hungover and a little drained mentally. Last dayan Vegas today, so got a bit of shopping to do and dinner later.
