I think raising turn after calling a check raise on the flop is what gave Sami reason to fold river. MrGr33n's inferior value range will probably just call turn and his floats will probably wait till river to bet/raise. Not entirely sure about that last bit but a very good fold nonetheless. He probably gets paid more often when he flats turn and raises river.

mainly that he doesnt bluff this turn card and when he shoves river he doesnt shove worse for value, smaller bet size with 55, doesnt raise q8 or worse ott.

Different game, different era.

This is a huge fold, especially from seeing the action of the final where mr Green was merging a ton/boarderline clicking buttons. I actually don't think its fold because of this.

I'll never buy that as a bald statement.

Everything needs context.

This was an excellently played hand but I will need a lot of convincing to accept this was the greatest play of all time.

Weird hand that raised pre then virtually no betting , in the words of mike matusow , in a room full of donkeys I'm against somebody who folds jacks full , how can I win ? Or something along those lines

yh this. altho depending on game flow etc it might not be terrible ALL the time.

I tihnk its probably impossible to say what is the best played hand / best fold / best bluff of all time, but this IS a really REALLY sick fold

Matusow's reaction might well be why Romanello is where he is today. If that was Patrik Antonius or Phil Ivey instead of Matusow Roberto may have never got such an incredible deal with FTP which I believe is when he started having some very nice results

Agreed, a good fold, but not that hard.

Roberto's JJ fold is so easy that if he called it would have been a horrific call, dunno what Mikey got so excited about.

i called a 3bet pf with JJ and c/f a QJ4r flop in vgeas once and no1 started a thread about me :P

because someone had a preflop range of entirely JJ or QQ, and exactly zero bluffs, so easy fold in principal ;)

How can you put someone on that range only? Surely a range that includes QQ has to include at least KK?
