We don't have a forum-friendly seat draw as of yet, but a quick glance through the hard copy I have here shows James Mitchell sat next to Jack Ellwood; Ray Norton sharing a table with Tony G; Micky Wernick and David "geeforce" Gent together; Jon Kalmar, Toby lewis and Duncan McLellan sat in a line; George Bedi sat button to Matt Dale's big blind; Praz Bansi, Barny Boatman and Mad Turk sat with some poor soul trapped in between them, and JP Kelly, jakally, Ben Vinson and Julian Gardner all together.

If anybody here wants to post their seat draw feel free, and when I can get a copy that doesnt involve me typing in 412 names into Microsoft Excel, I'll put it up here for you guys.

Unless someone arrives at the FT with a massive chip lead I can see there being a strong incentive for a nine-way chop (not necessarily an even chop); who's going to want to deal with the variance when the payout is so top heavy?
Can a chop only be discussed at the final table or could the final two tables deal? (an 18 way chop would be over 100k euros each)
And have DtD decided whether any chop discussions will be publicised and actual payouts published? I ask because I would assume that the winner getting 200k wouldn't have the same kind of PR for future events as the winner 'officially' getting 1m euros.

Title: Re: ISPT Wembley Day 3
Post by: KarmaDope on June 02, 2013, 01:59:20 PM
So...let's start this off.

We had a rash of exits this morning that I will post a list of later, but 30 mins into today we had gone from 417 starting to 384 and hand for hand. The 384th player bust as we were announcing hand for hand and so we went into hand for hand with 383 players...

Title: Re: ISPT Wembley Day 3
Post by: KarmaDope on June 02, 2013, 02:02:50 PM
In the first hand for hand we had 2 all ins.

The first one was Carlo Citrone and he had shoved for 13,600 preflop. Florain Schultz called it off from the big blind and we had a hold in the action.

As all the tables finished, Carlo's hand was announced first and he had Qh Jh againt Florian's Tc Ts. The flop was Kd Kh Qc and Carlo took the lead. Florian failed to connect on the 2d turn and 7c river, and we still had 383.

The other hand was also all in preflop - Neil Bernadout called Philippe Narboni's all in with Aspades Ks. Philippe had Jc Js and the flop was a resounding Td 3h Kh. No help for Philippe on the Ac turn and 5s river and we were down to 382...

Title: Re: ISPT Wembley Day 3
Post by: KarmaDope on June 02, 2013, 02:05:43 PM
15 minutes later, the dust settled on the next hand and we had another two all ins.

First hand to be announced was Thijs Hujigers calling an Antoine Saout shove with Ac Jh. Saout had Jc Jd and held on the Th Td 2c 3d 4h board.

Over on table 7, we had a board of Td 3h 6d 6s and Gerard McClure had shoved his shortstack all in. Neil Raine was the caller and the hand was over when the cards were shown as Neil had Tc 6h for the full house. Gerard could only show Ts Ahrt needing the remaining Th for the chop. It didnt materialise on the 5s river and we were down to 381...

In the next hand, we only had one all in and this was slightly controversial.

Benoit Albiges minraised preflop and Milan Rabsz called. They saw a Ts Aspades 9d flop and Benoit bet 10k. Milan moved all in for 41k and Benoit called.

Milan: Ac Tc
Benoit: Ahrt Ks

Action stopped at this point until all other hands had finished and Simon came over to announce.

When he did, the turn brought a flush draw - 6s and the river was the Qh.

Although Milan won and therefore doubled up - Simon was under the impression that Benoit was at risk and announced to the whole field that the bubble had broken!! Unfortunately, he quickly corrected himself and we moved on with 381 players...

It would - the first hand we saw involved 2 well known names on this forum - David "geeforce" Gent and DTD Deepstack regular Yiannis Liperis.

On the pure bubble Tomasz Gluckzo shoves his short stacl and Rhy Jones calls him in the big blind

Gluckzo looks around, and there are four simultaneous all ins and calls

We're about ten minutes away from the run out, so Rhys decides to fire up Drag Challenge...

Gluckzo A-Q v Jones K-K

K-Q-10-A-6

Jones knocks out Gluckzo who shares the 380th prize...

and for Jones its a duble happy ending..

Tighty has posted the Rhys Jones hand above, which was our 3rd hand, meaning that we have 2 bubble players who will split the €540 for 380th.

The last hand saw AK being shoved and called by A2 - AK held on the 8-J-6-K-6 board.

So, the bubble has burst and every player is guaranteed a min cash of €540 for now...

In one fun hand whilst I was down there before the bubble, I joined table Linton as Pete had check-raised Liz Lieu's 10k bet to 26k on a 6s Qd 6d flop. Liz went into the tank for what felt like forever, and ever, and ever...Pete said about 10 minutes!

It turned out that Liz had headphones in, and had not realised that Pete had checkraised. As soon as Pete asked the dealer to give her a nudge, she quickly apologised and shoved. Pete snap called, as you do with 6h 9d.

Unfortunately, the pint-sized Lieu had flopped gin with Qs Qc and won the pot. Needless to say, Mr Linton was not amused...

The flop was already out - 4c 3s 2c and Gent had bet out. Liperis shoved and David felt he was priced in to call with his Ad Qs.

One ear is fine two ears are just bad manners, not that anyone cares. They encourage slow play and cause plays to be re-run. These youngsters may as well be deaf. Not to mention all the information you miss by being virtually deaf to the live talk at the table.

Right first break of the day

330 left and in min cash to 280th

We think chip leader is Leigh Wiltshire with 470,000

To be frank though, its been that manic and the turn round from seeing the action to reporting is so prolonged (distance...) that we need a good catch up on the tournament floor post break

Bear with us, we will try and do a comprenhensive chip count and chip leader post in 20 minutes or so....

Assuming 9 players per table, and the fact that we have upwards of 200 tables in all the areas - theoretically 1800 per day.

Shortstack Christophe Tripodi shoves, Next to him Skalie passes

Tripodi's cards are half over the line, barely protected by the edge of his palm and the dealer accidentally scoops one towards the muck with Skalie's two cards

Tripodi is now worried about the three cards (too tired to find mathematician/three card/tripod joke but its there) and exclaims "Merde, arrêter une de ces cartes est la mienne"

I tell the startled dealer that this means that one of the cards is his

The floor is called

The three cards have not hit the muck

Skalie whispers his two cards to the floor

Tripodi whispers his card to the floor

Tripodi is returned his card, which is good common sense stuff I think though a player at the table disagrees and chunters that Tripodi is a lucky so and so and should be out and etc etc.

Folded round to the big blind Ramey Shiao who calls no look with Jd 2d

Tripodi has Kd 9h

Td 5s 6d Qd 4c knocks Tripodi out....

Murtagh Mulholland is on 88k and anxiously looking at the payout structure.

James Atkin is on 47k and happy with his zone.

Dominic Kay is now on 95k after a recent double up.

And finally...Leigh Wiltshire's birthday present just arrived. The open seat 2 to Leigh's right has just been filled. By Albert Sapiano. With 400k.

Ole Schemion has 500,000

Ole is 20, from Berlin

He won the Partouche main event this year, and three events at the EPT Grand Final festival

He is probable chip leader...

How?

Alex Henry three bet to 15,000 in the cut off

Vikas Sabarwhal 30,000 on the button

Ole cold calls in the blinds

Opener folds

Henry shove 150,000

Vikas folds

Ole calls

Henry K-K

Ole Q-Q

Queen on the river is enough to give Ole Schemion a semi-on. Potentially.

As I hit table 42, Rhys Jones was raising UTG to 6k. Christophe Lefebvre then repopped it to 13k and Carl Williams (the gentleman in Tighty's post above) cold called the 3-bet. Rhys also called and they saw a 3-way flop of 4c Td Qd. All 3 players checked and Rhys then led for 14200 on the Ahrt turn. Lefebvre was the only caller and they both checked the Jd river, to the consternation of Rhys, who had rivered the flush with 8d 6d. Lefebvre flashed Aspades Jh for a rivered 2 pair that might have paid a small bet off...

You come all this way to a poker comp, and end up playing next to a best mate...Akenhead and Praz, with Ellwood to Praz's left as well put of shot

All three are being needled by this gentleman, Rony Halimi, who is a voluble frenchman with a nice line in the unortodox, verbally and poker wise and has been according to my source Mr Ellwood "been getting chips off all of us"

As you can see Rony has over 400,000 and a willing smile that belies his rather controversial table presence.

Meanwhile, for Karl who was watching earlier, Amy is on the next table...

Rhys Jones opens with 8c 7c

Tom Middleton peels in position

Paul Zimbler peels out of a 17cbb stack in the blinds

J-6-5 flop

check check

Tom 7,000

Zimbler folds

Rhys calls

4. ker-ching for Jones

He check calls 19,500

9 Rhys checks Middleton shoves 55,000

Rhys calls with the nuts

I find out later that Tom had a set, presumably 6-6 or 5-5 and was unsure whether he should have shoved the river. Rhys then told us that there was nothing wrong with Tom shoving the river

Rhys Jones over 400,000

Chinese Frankie got moved to table Sapiano/Wiltshire and immediately raised his first hand, getting two callers in players we believe to be Martin Quack and Paul Garden.

The flop was Jh 3s 6d and all three players checked. Garden, in the BB, then led for 12.5k on the Js turn. Frankie quickly raised to 33k and Quack ducked out. Garden shipped all in and Frankie called!

Garden: 6c 6s
Frankie: Kh Jd

Frankie was left with the lone Jack or one of the three Kings to hit the river for him to stay in the competition. Sadly, the river was the biggest brick of them all - the 2h - and Frankie headed to the rail.

Watching him at the table, genuinely looks like he has having the time of his life, and he'll never feel like this again. I swear its the truth and he owes it all to Rob Yong.

I heard the story of Trigg's exit second hand so e@oe I am afraid

Flavian Guenan raised

Trigg 3 bet 9c 7c

Guenan called

 Ac 8c 3s

Guenan check raised all in, Trigg called it off with the draw, Guenan held with  Aspades 8s

---

On the same table Nik Persaud, readily following the trending #cheerupchanning hastag on twitter, which is most amusing, is up over 500,000 knocking out a French player with Aces, and then when the French player departed before obtaining his cashers slip, calling him back in word perfect French. Tres bien Monseiur Persuad mais votre barbe est encore trop pleine.

He bet/called all in with Ac Jc on a Ts 8c 9h 9c board but his opponent, Derek Murray, held Qd Jd for the flopped straight and held on the 7h river. Brett was just covered, sadly, and departs the dome for the final time today.

Daniel Hardy has doubled to 430k when he shoved 8h 6h on a 7h Kh 9c flop. Derek Murray, the man who knocked out Brett Pinder above, held 7d 7s for the flopped set but Daniel, despite whiffing the Jc turn, binked the 5c river for the straight and the pot.

Leigh Wiltshire is down to 270,000 from over 500,000

Lost 100,000 folding KK pre, convinced his tight opponent had Aces

Lost a further 65,000 with AK < A6 on a king high board, flushed on the river

Meanwhile at his table, this is the stack of Albert Sapiano, now over 500,000 and over double average...

Any chance of getting a list of runners still in?

Yes, a real updated global chipcount could be so good ...

Having spoken with tighty yesterday there is no way that will happen until the field is far shorter

Names would be good though, we can try find our own counts

No because the info is not provided for us, its not on DTD's online systems and requests for it by email take a while to be activated.

A shame, because its much tougher to report without it

I must have missed it - how did Rhys Jones bust?

If it was one hand, surely it was for a chip-lead pot?

Must admit with your updates, I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking Rhys might be  Ahrt Aspades today...

Rasmus Agerskov was unfortunate enough to be the man to give Mr Anonymous a birthday present over on table 24.

Anonymous had shoved with Jacks and Rasmus had called the all in, as you do when you have Aces.

Unfortunately for Rasmus, Mr Anonymous flopped a set of Jacks which won the hand. Afterwards, he said that it was his birthday and pulled out his photo ID which proved it.

Happy birthday sir and enjoy your slice of good luck cake, although I think you just ate it to stay in the tournament!

Not sure what you mean "with your updates..." what is " Ahrt Aspades today"?

but the hand was reported in full a couple of pages ago, and mentioned at the time it was a chip lead pot

How many runners did the turbo get?

I think dtd should start doing a 100 turbo on deepstack Saturday. Was incred having a shot at 5k in 5 hours last night. .Ok so maybe a £100 would only have 3k up top, but still incred!

Sam Trickett has 700,000+ at the break.....Quite a chip up, no double ups, few showdowns just aggression at every phase apparently. He says he needs to final (26k euros) to break even on the event after he has put x people in

Jack Ellwood lost a 400,00 pot with TT all in on T747 to JJ to the rivered J

Toby Lewis has over 550,000, busting Matt Heap when he flopped a set of tens on a King high board versus KQ

Leigh Wiltshire 330,000 at the break

Peter Eastgate 400,000

Many thanks to the lads at Poker FR who have allowed me to use this list of the counts on the break

Ben Middleton – 900k
Sam Trickett – 750k
Martial Blangenwitsch – 720k
Gwendoline Jgwenn – 700k
ole Schemion – 700k
Maxime Conte – 100k
Amy Todd – 160k
Praz Bansi – 360k
Bruno Launais – 230k
Franck Delmas – 350k
Alban Juen – 425k
Nico Cardyn – 450k
Flo Marques – 87k
Giuseppe Zarbo – 100k
Sebastien Guerlinze – 345k
Antoine Saout – 94k
Mister Choffray – 330k
Jérôme Da_Pimp – 400k
Rémi Le Meur – 500k
Peter Eastgate – 400k
Damien Bas – 108k
Mathew Frankland – 560k
Toby Lewis – 560k
Hauke Heseding – 300k (après avoir gagné 99 vs AJ vs KK chez Nateag)
Benoît Albiges – 128k
Rony Halimi – 330k
Gaëtan Balleur – 250k

Guy "Direwolf" Collins - online player from Sky Poker who rather resembles blonde member Rod and Lord of the Rings character Gollum, has just doubled through Albert Sapiano when Albert raised to 12k preflop and Guy shipped As Qd for 71k. Albert, as you would expect, called and his Kc Qh was massively behind. The 3h 3c 6d Ts 6s board was no help to the Honey Monster and Guy is back in the 25bb range.

I arrived on Table 40 just as Mitch Johnson was min-raising from UTG+2. Tom High then proceeded to give him the staredown before just flatting on the button. The small blind decided to join the party but unfortunately the big blind, Chris Tilbury, decided to be a bit of a party pooper by moving all in for 110k.

Unfortunately for Chris, Mitch actually had a hand and reshoved, leaving Tom and the other player to quickly get out of the way. Mitch's Tc Ts was racing Chris' Qh Jc and the tens won the race on the 9s 7h 3s Ahrt 5h board, leaving us another player down and catapulting Mitch up the chip tables.

I believe the plan is to stop a level early tonight, in about 90 minutes

Logically, bringing back c 90

that would mean tomorrow plays from 90 to 27

Tuesday 27 to 9

Wednesday final

We'll see if this works out as logic suggests....

40m chips in play

Four chip leaders

Sam Trickett

Ole Schemelon
Toby Lewis

each with a million

For the updater tired of stairs and looking ahead to an early finish at some stage, not the worst quartet to have all the chips....!!

Trickett got up with the chip leaders when I caught him in a hand with the board reading 7h Kc Kd Td and Trickett had bet 26k into a 35k pot. One of the two opponents in the hand was the only caller and they saw the Qc river. It was checked to Sam who bet 76k and his opponent agonised but called, and mucked when Sam showed the Ks Th for the turned full house.

And that's it from me, sadly.

Tomorrow I have to return to the drudgery that is my full time job in the NHS. As you can tell, given the choice of a stressful multi million pound project that I am working on versus watching poker hands at Wembley - you can guess what I wanna do!

Unfortunately not all wishes can be granted sadly, and it is with a heavy hea...oh shut up Adam ffs I can hear you all saying!

I'm off back to Chester tomorrow but leaving you in the very capable hands of Tighty and Sam Popple for the last 3 days - please give them all the attention that we've been getting over the last weekend, and hopefully some heroes will go very, very deep in this.

Good luck to everyone I know that is still in.

Oh, and one last thing, THANK GOD I DONT HAVE TO RUN UP AND DOWN THOSE STAIRS ANY MORE!! rotflmfao rotflmfao

Right, back tomorrow

Before I go I wanted to thank Adam/Sharplea who gets the train home tomorrow and straight into work!

We were a woman down most of the weekend, and he stepped up to the plate fantastically. He's even put up with me.

Thank you very much

I am joined tomorrow by freshprinceofbetair and popsroff, I hope, and crucially (for me) the action moves into the Bobby Moore room

For now, from Wembley, good night.

Well done Adam hope I can keep up the good work u have all done

Right, back tomorrow

Before I go I wanted to thank Adam/Sharplea who gets the train home tomorrow and straight into work!

We were a woman down most of the weekend, and he stepped up to the plate fantastically. He's even put up with me.

Thank you very much

I am joined tomorrow by freshprinceofbetair and popsroff, I hope, and crucially (for me) the action moves into the Bobby Moore room

For now, from Wembley, good night.

See u tomorrow :)

Incredible overlay for first and only hope that a tournament like this sets a precedent for something similar next year/future but with many more numbers and with DTD making the mint they deserve long term with this. Incredible effort all around.

I hope a blonde goes ahead and wins it.

The winner of this tournament is going to get paid out a lot more money than they really should get.

Surely set up for a Linton victory.

Just got to my room . Great updates as ever and would JUST LOVE IT if a Blonde DTD Reg took this down. The Tall One or the Ginger One would be fantastic.
