I posted this question on andrewT's diary, and thought it might be fun.

I'm gonna give mine some thought, but who's in your top 5? And why?

My top 5 with my limited knowledge of most on here;

In no particular order,

Reddog ( witty and funny)
Tal ( funny and intelligent)
The baron (post sensible stuff on lfc)
Cambridgealex (not met him, great clearly super player and seems pleasant)
Scotty (soccer manager and the football quiz)

People or posters?

I personally can't name more than 2, because I don't like most of you.

For very different reasons, the above five I tend to stop everything and read their posts.

The reasons I do stop everything is:

Tal and Red Dog are just both incredibly funny.

Lil Dave I find fascinating because he just seems so very wise for a young un, but also really daft at times.

Camel I often find myself disagreeing with on stuff, but I still really respect him. He seems very wise in gambling circles and I believe he always says and does what he believes is the right thing.

And jokes aside, Tikay genuinely is my role model in poker. As someone who works in the poker industry there are not a huge amount of people I really look up to, but Tikay is one of them. Probs explains why I am shit at poker.

Also love Honeybadger and Stu Rutters posts, and Plenos diary is probably my current fave.

Try and be as unbias as possible, in no particular order

Red-Dog - Read the best of Red-Dog a year or so ago and enjoyed it so much I had to PM him saying so. The stories in there send you on an absolute emotional rollercoaster!

Tikay - As DaveShoelace said, Tikay is a role model to so many people. Approachable, funny, patient and very knowledgeable.

Tighty - What would this forum do without this man? Not be here is a 90% possibility. Updates are second to none.

LilD - Come on, who wouldnt pick this man?!

CambridgeAlex - Had to get a mate in here ffs. Seriously though, read every page of that silly diary thats taken a spot in my day, every day, since it was started. At least 40% of it is interesting :D

AndrewT - I've lost count of the number of times I've read a post by him and wished I'd have thought of that.

Rod Paradise - Top, top bloke.  Wish he lived closer to us so that we'd see him more often.

The Camel - So glad he came back to blonde.  I can also claim credit for getting him playing Fantasy NFL, although maybe I shouldn't have as he promptly went and won our league at the first attempt.

Mrs RED-DOG - Tom is such an obvious choice, and writes fantastically, but he's never looked as overjoyed from winning a pot as Mrs Red did in the early blonde bashes.  Wonderful company!

Mrs Sheriff - Technically a member (5 posts in total) so I don't think I'd survive omitting her from the list.

Tightend- Does so much and his updates are second to none!

Pleno- Love his diary, also advice he gives people

Aaron- As everyone loves to hate him so pretty entertaining if but annoying most of the time :P

Camel- Doesn't sit on the fence, sometimes think wtf but still funny and love someone who speaks their mind

Mondatoo- Love his staking thread where he seems to bink alot, just generally like reading his updates as i know it will be a few hands then ship won another ty ty :)

Stuart Bopkin, Celtic, Mitch, Dubai, Trigg, Gurrrrrrrrpreet Nagi would be my top 6 favourites to spend time with but there are a lot more fantastic people on the forum

would extend this list to include maria, nick hicks and plintanon but i was friends with those fish before i was on blonde

:) putting (andrew) seemed pointless, but i knew if i put nothing some wiseguy would ask what his real name is!

5 is incredibly difficult. Could list 20 and still regret leaving 2 or 3 out.

But these are top of the pops for me:

Mere Novice - the amount of work he does on various pools and competitions is amazing. A great asset to the forum and very wry sense of humour.
Lil Dave - When a controversial topic comes up it's natural to support your mates, no matter the rights and wrongs of the matter. David however is impartial and wise and usually correct about whatever he says. Doesn't mind treading on toes, but sticks up for what's right.
AndrewT - Very very funny. Should be a stand comedian. And he supports a top football team. What's not to love?
Dubai - When I first came across David I didn't like him at all. First impressions definitely wrong. Doesn't post waste time waffling, posting bollocks, just make's his point and 99% of the time he's right.
Tal - yet to read a post he's made that isn't interesting, wise or funny. A great addition to the forum over the last year.

Off the top of my head (and in a randomised order)I would go with:

Tal: always has something interesting to say on a topic and helped me get back into chess (big follower of the chess thread)

Tighty: excellent updates, witty and generally seems to be friendly and approachable at DTD

Tha' Posh One: Like many people, I think Alex's diary was one of the first things I read on Blonde.  Also a good player and not scared to experiment with fishy funky lines.

Tikay: Commentated on my table at pretty much my first trip to DTD.  Said some nice things about my game and later, my diary. Shortly after told me I might scam him.  Clearly a mixed bag!!!
