Title: minimal risk stake required
Post by: Ironside on June 28, 2013, 04:58:48 PM
ok i hear you ask how can any stake be minimal risk
well it all depends on you trusting me and i hope there are still enough people on blonde
who know my word is my bond and if i say i will do something i will

while i am fit and able too (hoping my health continues on its current upward path) i want too get into poker again
the route i am hoping too take is 45 man $7 turbos on pokerstars

the stake is a 50/50 share between me and the stakers with 100% gtd on your stake back if i go bust or not over  4 month period

i will play the SNGs and at the end of each month the profit will be split i will also buy back 25% of the stake each month
so your stake in me will decrease but your stake will be secure
if i go bust in the first month you will still get 100% of your stake back at the end of the 4 months

i need a 600$ bankroll to play these comfortably without worrying about swings and currently due too my previous health problems and life style i am not able too
come up with that cash and playing off a reduced roll is effecting my play

so at the end of august sept oct nov i will buy back 150$ of the stake

which means in basic terms you risk losing only the interest you would earn in your bank with a chance of making a lot more if i can beat these games

obviously if i cant make a profit at these games then i should stick too play poker as a hobby looking for a bink

the minimal risks are
1) i do a grim
2) i die (touch wood i don't think its likely)
3) i get carried away at the lapdance club on Tuesday (my getting older day) and blow my next years army disability pension

so in summary i need $600 for which you will receive 50% of any profit at the end of first month plus 25% of your stake back from my pocket
and i become a 25% stake holder and your stake is reduced and the same happens for the following 3 months so by the end of november
you will all your stake back and i will be on my own either busto or with a decent roll

during the stake i will not play in any other games on pokerstars on or off the stake without 100% approval from all backers
this will hopefull stop me sitting in cash games and entering high variance MTTs which i keep messing about it when i know i
am better off not doing

1% = 6$
10% = $60

i hope that all makes sense and is a fair deal if not please let me know

redarmi 50%
tikay 10%
steve swift 10%

I don't actually understand a word of that, but it matters not, count me in please.

I will take 10% for now, but in the almost impossible event that the rest does not sell, I'll take the whole 50% balance.

To those who are dithering, Iron did a little staking thing a few weeks ago, & we all made a nice profit.

blonde would have folded in Year One without Iron's help, too. So come on guys, support our man. He is a perfect PITA sometimes, but we'd not have him any other way.

For me, that suits perfectly, but others may like to read, or actually even enjoy, reams & reams of Hand Histories. I won't read a single one though. ;)

Each to their own, eh?

I DO think, whoever it is, MUST post a list of how many SNG's played, each day, & the Daily P & L. I would not invest in anyone who did not do that. We wanna sweat!

Perfect, so can I assume I have paid my 10% then?

If it does not get fully subscribed, I'll send the rest, probably via Lord Raymond Norton.

ok an hour in and 9 buy ins and closet i have come too a cash is when i shoved KT with 5 bigs into A3 when 13/13
obviously i didnt get a sweat when flop came A3A was running well on that table untill just before QQ<JJ

also managed too get in a 4 way all in with 2 half average and one dbl average stack i had top 2 dbl average had over pair and the shorties both had flush draws
dbl average won with a 4 flush FML
been playing these game for a week or so now and i know that these things happen so going too continue too reg till about 3 and hope for bed about 4:30

Title: Re: minimal risk stake required
Post by: Ironside on July 01, 2013, 03:47:12 AM
12 sng over and done with in under 2 hours

managed 2 all preflop suck outs lost count of how many i had
but thats the reason behind me needing the stake too cover the swings
only 1 win away from break even hopefully get a good 8-10 hours in tomorrow night
and get a better share of the RNG

down $84

Title: Re: minimal risk stake required
Post by: Ironside on July 01, 2013, 04:41:46 PM
ok longy has now sent funds so roll is 516$

going too get on in an hour or so after my dinner

going too put in a stopper to save me from playing when tilted and unaware i am titling

not sure if i should make it stop registering after i have registered for 12 comps or 2 hours without a cash
then only start registering again if i cash with the comps open or after taking an hour break

wasnt a bad beat i played the hand wrong trying too trap a big stack after he called my OR raise and a shorty shoved 10BB i got what i wanted and the big stack shoved on me

the only bad beat i had last night was never getting 6 tables on the go at once and having too go play PLO rush on fulltilt when down too my last 2 tables
hate the software on tilt but love the rng

got a 2nd got crippled 3 handed and went HU 6-1 down in chips
only 3 open just now 5/13 8/13 and 4/19

gonna take a short break as although i am playing ok my head seems a little messy

a win or a cpl of decent cashes in these 3 games, gets us in profit for the roll so cant complain about running bad just if heads not right take a break

edit on 2 FT now

Am most happy to see in-play updates, really, keep them coming. Easy on the bad beats and "I tilted" stuff, that's all.

Tilting is for Pisa, Lederer and kids. We is proper grown ups here. :)

Yep that must be it Iron!

However you want to do it, is good with me. Daily updates is probably going to be a good long term fix and something you should try to keep to, but I am happy with the more regular updates as well.

only managed too get 5 games in since my last win
FT bubbled one when i played 2 hands badly then and came 9th in another when 4/9 and shoved knowing the guy could only call me with a handfull of hands
and my AT<AK guess AK was one of the hands he could call with lol

if none of the stakeees mind i will open up some $3.5 45 man turbos in future nights when the volume is low

ok guys i am close too a VIP bonus when i get them i will add them too the roll (its only a $10 one at moment as i havent played much this year)

FPPs not sure if you guys want me too take these as bonuses IF/when i get too gold or i could use them too win T$ is sats choice is yours

Ah we forgot to discuss what we do with fpps, obviously take the stellar rewards as you pass each threshold.

Playing sats with the fpps is almost certainly best when you are anything but supernova, as they offer the best conversion rate. Will have a quick look around to look for the best ones to go for.

my best convertion rate in the fpp is for storm tickets and upto and around $22 mark with the MM starting in a cpl of weeks should be some good sats
and they should all be turbos which is what i am playing in the SNGs

Title: Re: minimal risk stake required
Post by: Ironside on July 05, 2013, 04:57:32 PM
just for clarrity i am now at 735 vpp towards my 3rd stellar reward and have 765 fpps
i am silver star so earn fpps at 1.5 and we are 290 vpps towards retaining silver star
we earn 1.5 fpp for ever vpp and i hope too put in enough volume every month
to get gold status as we get over 3 vpp for every $7 sng

Title: Re: minimal risk stake required

Sounds good to me, I would have the occasional session on a Sunday before the storm starts and play 4, 5, whatever.

Just a note to say I'm very happy with the way you are updating us & handling this, Iron.

A weekly total of games played, at each level etc, would be about the only addition I'd suggest.

As in, say....

Week 1 - Bankroll began @ $600, ended @ $600, played 55 games @ $xx

....sort of thing.

The main thing though, is to enjoy it.

ballsyed up but still3/8 but with less than an average stack

been pretty card dead from 25 out but took out 9th place with JJ>22
and having not played many hands thought i would play on my tight image
tried a steal from button v 2 shortish stacks that i was hoping were trying to
fold into the money pot commited too call Q7<AQ
then tried again from HJ J9dd< AT

gonna need too play tight for a bit just when i really want too loosen up
as players have seen my wide range

ok this is for investors only

i started 2 new meds during last week 1 of which has side effect of mood swings lethargy and drowsiness
i am going too be on this med for the next 3-4 months

i felt the effect last night and kicked the poker into touch and even made a reall bad call in my final game i had running
tonight i did feel a little down despite having a reasonable session

i am going too offer a few options

1) carry on as normal
2) end the stake with you guys getting first options for you guys too reinvest if i do another stake
3) share off the profits now and then carry on as normal (you guys get a freeroll that way)
4) use today as a end point and i buy back some of the stake profits shared and then we carry on as normal with
knowledge i am not 100%

the best option for me is option 1 best option for you is 3 my prefered option is 4

the balls in your court

Not sure I really understand #4.  It seems as though you think it will be an issue so probably not #1 so really happy with 2 or 3 but possibly 4 if you can elaborate.

Title: Re: minimal risk stake required
Post by: Ironside on July 15, 2013, 11:44:22 PM
4 is we use today as a month end (early)

we split the money 50/50 and i repay back 25% as if today is the end of july

we then carry on but i have repaid back some of the stake
so stake holders would be
10% = 7.5%

tikay 7.5%
redarmi 37.5
longy 15%
somerled 7.5%
steve 7.5%
ironside 25%

the pay out would be

27.07 for every 10% plus 15$ for the stake
so 42.07$ for every 10%

so redarmi $210.35
longy $84.14
and the other 3 inverstors $42.07
we then play on till the end of august when we split again but with knowledge i might not play as much as i could
or i could be playing under my A game at some points

i hope some of that makes sense but it possibly doesnt
or if the effects i am feeling just now wear off i could play a full schedule

Title: Re: minimal risk stake required
Post by: Ironside on July 15, 2013, 11:51:33 PM
or more simply

if you have 10% now you get 1/4 of your stake returned now
and your share of the profit so no matter what i do in future your GTD a profit of 27.07$ for every 10%
and a reduced share of any future profit

i really dont mind any of the 4 options although option 3 gives you guys a freeroll

Title: Re: minimal risk stake required
Post by: redarmi on July 15, 2013, 11:53:53 PM
#4 is fine for me if that is what your preferred option is.

Title: Re: minimal risk stake required
Post by: Ironside on July 16, 2013, 12:00:25 AM
4 is like 3 but gives me a bigger return if i do win but if i lose then i have reduced the amount i am in the hole for

i do hope that i can shake off the effects the drugs but as i said last night i turned an easy fold with QT into a snap call
and hated myself afterwards

and tonight i stopped regging at one point and kinda forced myself too play on as i couldnt be bothered doing anything else
and i dont want too play on lose all the roll and you guys just get your investment back without a profit
and will make me look like a complete doosh and unlikely too get backed if i need it at a later date

Iron, I really don't mind. Whichever is easiest for you and suits you best is fine with me.
It's not about the money, it's about you playing and enjoying it. Quite simply I don't have time to play poker at all at the moment and I'd rather the Stars funds were used to allow someone to have some fun playing and if there's a return at the end all well and good but I don't really care.
Just enjoying the updates to be honest - good or bad. So keep playing, keep the updates coming and do whatever you feel most comfortable with.

Oh, and be lucky!

ok as no one is strongly in favour of one option or another
and as a thank you for trusting me in the stake i will go with option 3
and send you all $27.07 per 10% tomorrow when i get up

this is the best option for the backers as i will GTD there stake and if over the next cpl of weeks i make a loss you still get a full share
of profits to date and full share of future profits

i will ship to pokerstars account the money came from unless i hear different
tikay i will Bank transfer too you once money reaches my bank

ok going too ship 27$ too somerled and steve swifts poker stars and 54$ too longy

$135 i need too ship to redarmi but need confirmation of where too ship

will withdrawl 297 (270 for myself and 27 for tikay for bank transfer at stars exchange rate i recieve at)
this will leave the roll at just over 600 (as i havent included the cents)

last night when i put up this option 3 i thought it was a bad one for me but having thought
about it its seems the best option as i will have nearly the whole  first 2 repayments of the stake in my bank account
incase i dont play much or end up on a downswing

i have requested a player audit and will post on here for all too digest

massive upswing today 2/7 now and roll getting back near 500$ a win would nearly get back most of the losses since the split

Title: Re: minimal risk stake required
Post by: Ironside on July 30, 2013, 02:05:17 AM
i will get an audit of account on thursday but if people want too i can delay repayment of the stake by a month
each stake holder can choose if they want too delay or get the money back
i have the funds too repay everyone the 25% if they want i dont mind eitherway but
i am offering this as i havent played as many games as i had hoped this month
and will struggle too play 1000 again next month

No worries op is to by back 25% of your shares in 4 monthly installments this works well for me as I now become a share holder so I am happy with this was giving you guys the option to keep the 25% a little longer as I had a poor month volume wise

The roll will remain as it is I will deposit for stars transfers and bt the rest although roll is under 600$ we took a split earlier in month which means tge month overall we made about 500$ between us which is the top end of what I was hoping for over 1000 games

Cash safely received, thanks Iron.

45% profit - wonderful work, well done. No regrets here at all, all boxes ticked. I think you've handled the whole thing, from start to finish, impeccably, too. Regular Updates, & we always knew the score.

Well done, & thank you.

ok i am hoping too get back playing poker again before the end of the month, currently i am off all medication and i am feeling better inside myself than i have for a few years i am also been off the smokes for nearly 4 months now (they say if you can manage 3 months you should be fine)

i enjoyed playing under this stake earlier it gave me the finical freedom too play without worrying when i went on swongs and the discipline not too dabbling in other games and too keep my mind on the 45 man turbos
ideally i would like too play on a long term deal rather than a short term loan deal i havent thought about the deal i would be looking for yet but if anyone is intrested please let me know
