I've only seen Le Reve at Wynn and Terry Fator at Mirage. Thought Le Reve was excellent, think it was created by a guy closely linked with CdS and therefore very similar.

Actually I've seen Terry Fator too and he was ok and kept my old mum entertained, not sure he would be up the street of a 20 something crowd though.

The Elvis show has stopped now. Replaced at Aria by Zarkana.

You know what you're going to get with Penn and Teller (YouTube if you don't). Enjoyed "O", but don't think I'd see another CdS after that. Should say that particular show is very French :)

Love at the Mirage was on tonight. Would probably stop short of 'highly recommend' but I really enjoyed it

I got very cheap tickets to see the Blue Man Group at Venetian and whilst it might not be to everyones taste I thought it was excellent. Certainly very different and worth a shot IMO.

Any updates please?

Been Cirque'd to death over the years so won't bother with those. Absinthe sounds good, heard its an 'adult' show and one of my colleagues is bringing her 60 yo mum, how adult is it?

My boss wants to see Rock of Ages, any feedback on that?

Owt new?

I'm normally to busy making one of myself, so have only ever been to see Le Reve and Terry Fator. If you're not wanting CDS the first one is out, but Fator might be ok and it would be fine for her mother too.

I'm all out of suggestions then :(

Some people I was there with this year loved the Michael Jackson show at Mandalay Bay, but that's CDS too.

I wanna see Absinthe, I'm just gonna direct the reviews on tripadvisor to my colleague and let her decide if her mum can handle it or not.

There's a lot of f-bombs...

This year I took the opportunity to see a couple of new-ish shows, Michael Jackson and Zarkana.  I didn't want my money back on either, but definitely unmistakably CDS productions.

Well that looks like an absolute blast...

This made the list of possible things to do as a group when I was there in the summer and I stopped pretending I am in any way blokeish immediately after the suggestion was made, wimping out royally respectfully declining.

After watching half of that clip, boy am I glad I did.

Each to their own, though, eh?

Very bawdy humour, lots of swearing, intersperced with various acrobatic acts.  Also 'audience participation' so those near the front could get picked out.

The question to ask is whether the mum will be bothered by the swearing, more than anything else.  Other than that, a sketch with sock puppets having sex is probably then next thing to worry about.

It's a 'marmite' show for sure.  Very funny, if you're on the same wavelength to appreciate it, but no middle ground.  If you don't love it, then you'll most likely hate it.

I have seen loads of Vegas shows and some are amazing, Absinthe, however, is a different level entirely

literally in pain from laughing by the end

Most if the Cirques are all good , but top of the pile by a mile is Jersey Boys !
For value for $ the show at treasure island is great . That's the cirque one it's called mystere I think
For unbelievable staging an lighting its defitnely the new one at Mandaly bay which is the Michael Jackson show.

Absinthe was great, the host and his assistant were both hilarious, and the acts were pretty entertaining too.

Saw Zarkana in the summer, it was better than Ka and Zumanity (awful) but not as good as either Mystere or O (my favourite CdS show).
