Title: £100 Deepstack (Investors Please Read)
Post by: theprawnidentity on July 08, 2013, 03:57:22 PM
As I am currently in process of getting a mortgage (FML), I have to do a grown up thing and protect my IRL bankroll somewhat.  Hence my selling this.  This is a mega quick thread as I plan to take 2 bullets for this weekends deepstack online.  As the other threads have been a lot of buggering about sending small % ages to loads of people for no markup, I'm just going to open this one up to the general market for ease.

For those who don't know me see my diary, previous threads (regarding online prowess) and previous thread I ran for this tournament (where I finished 6th).

2 x £115 bullets = £230 * 1.1 = £253 call it 2 fiddy.  Will probs sell up to 50%.

5% = £12.50
10% = £25
25% = £62.50

Please only buy if you can send before Day 1 starts this evening.  tomsom87 @ stars.  Will do bank if you already have my deets.

If you still owe me money (can't recall what for or how much) can I convert it into a stake in this, by way of saving the hassle of transferring what I am told is is somewhere between a life-changing amount & bugger all?

What I owed you is 12% of this.  I was from the 25/25 that I busted, then span it up in this tournament the other week when I came 6th.

Well it is up to you, either convert to 12%, or send cash, I honestly don't mind either way.

Please do a win though.

Well take 12% and call it a freeroll as you never knew you had it.  Will endeavour to do a win.  GL with Day 2 in the main btw, really enjoyed the updates and interviews.

Ill play tonight as planned and see how it goes.  Will probs take the 3rd online one if everyone is OK with it.  Might take it live on the Friday yet, I'll see what happens this week.

Im pretty happy to call with the AK as were playing for the win.  A min cash doesn't really make anyone any decent money and going back with 50bb+ opens up some more opportunities to do stuff.

Interested to know what you thought of the AJ hand where I shoved the turn?

I would have fist pumped it in, he had open shoved 55 few hands earlier, and clearly had no issue doubling up players.  No issues with the call, you were there to win the thing and played very well for the time I watched.  Interestingly if it was the final bullet, do you play it differently?  The guy that finished second showed every hand he played, I LOL'd around a lot.

The AJ hand was nice, the board just did not smack his range.  I do not think you folded out a better hand but it was full of testicular fortitude, his 35k bet was so fishy, its like I want the pot, but I dont want to bust, I was actually willing you to make the move.  I suspected when you time banked you had Ace x with a good kicker as clearly any part of the board, marginal overpair or big flush draw was probably swifter.  Great pressure and play.

If its the final bullet I play it exactly the same way.  Didn't make day 2 last time till bullet 4/4 and went through with 600k+ and went on to FT.  Defo a believer that you should be trying to build a big stack so that you can do stuff later.

The AJ hand I basically went though the same thought process as you.  His line didn't make any sense, nor did his bet sizing.  He had happily given up his bb in the past do I didn't expect him to have complete trash hands that hit that range.  Just assumed he was trying to get me off whatever I had and that A high was probably good anyway.  If he did have a pair or over pair then we still have 10 outs, and if he has a shitty FD then we have the best hand.

I have decided that I will go down on friday and take a live shot at this bad boy (it's also an excuse to go for a drive out in my new car :D)

If you would like to continue with your %age then please send the money for 1 more bullet.  I will confirm that I have recieved before starting play.  If you wish to reduce your %age that's fine but its 50% of what you sent before (sorry if thats stating the obvious).

Sigh at paul ho...

I knew who you were for a while on dtd and thought it was one way till I just saw this. ;)

Nice redraw the other night (kj vs tt) - thought it was too good to be true when I somehow flushed your windowed set.

ul on the AK, little standard I think.

Fwiw, im not sure I like the 99 last night.  Think you actually took my seat as I just bust 99 into KK of same guy on 10xxx to his large betsizings - I had a note he's used small sizes for value a few times (incorrect some % apparently - :D).

I think youll probably find that a reg using this size will be able to play decent vs your shove, and that a weaker player using it will more than likely just have it more often than not..

other than that, pls stop playing these as youre making it harder for me to carve out a regular slice of the pie for myself!!

Gl and seeya at the tables....

Yeh I gathered you were a reg when you were reshoving me so frequently! Then someone outed you ITT :D

I kinda realised the 99 was a fold after hence me PHA'ing it.  So used to playing online that sometimes I forget that DTD isn't quite the same as what I'm used to.  I'm often a little bit to play back against unknowns and sometimes is doesn't work out for me.  At the time I thought the sizing looked a bit like, I've a got big stack so I'm going to try it on a bit (which is judging people by my own standards :D)

GL 2u2 and no doubt we will throw down again sometime in the near future!!!

No worries paul... ive just realised ur 'seanbelton' - thats going on the notes page.

like Timsun2022 said, I was reshoving on him a lot, because, he was obviously opening way too wide.  He was actually allowing me to pickup a few extra free chips and I was enjoying it.
(Just a rare opportunity online where I knew someones sn on a new site and because of there being so few regs I could blend in with the fish in some spots.)

Tom - did u see the link TK put up a little while ago about being cautious to try and actually think about how "they think about their hand" instead of you prescribing your thought processes onto them and their hand.
(Im pretty guilty of this)

I've really enjoyed the setup for these dtd 100 mtts in the last few weeks... just a shame I couldnt make a single day2.
Near  bubbled something like 6/8 :)

I look forward to the Grand Prix now!!!

I know I'm guilty of putting my own thought process to people who don't have it.  It's something I don't really do live anymore, but as soon a I start with my internets I think everyones at home fist-pumping in their hoody.  I think I must wear rose tinted glasses cause in my own mind I dont really open that much ;D
