Pretty confident we could get to 100+

Yeah, cos they've been stroking your ego with random guesses instead of trying to work it out with logical questions.

Is it home-made?

Please revise this question. Both a yes and no answer could be misleading.

It’s something you’ve mixed, right?

A combination of one or more branded alcohol drinks and possibly some non-alcohol also.

Yes?

Is it one of these?

[58-310] no

How is that more than one question?

The question was "Is it one of these?"  That's one question, that requires one answer.

When someone asked if it was of European origin, you didn't count up all the countries in Europe and say it was that many questions.

Ridiculous, amateurish, farcical quizmaster.

Here's a question.

Are you Cf and Sharplea's love child?

Absolutely right. If it had been one of those, I'm pretty sure you would have said "yes" rather than "you got it, quiz is over".

I have said a few times I am happy to reveal but some people are still asking questions so I think it's only fair to carry on for them.

Hang on a minute, Mr Murray picked an occupation of Reiki because that was obscure, the original object was Motzarts hair ffs. If I'd picked single malt whisky it would be a bit obvious no?

I also said random guesses wouldn't get it but most of the posts here have been just that.

I suggest someone looks back through the thread and does a cliffs forgetting all the shot in the dark guesses. Not that much information but should lead to sensible questions. You will need to think outside the box to get this and of course now I realise how frustrating it is for you there is no chance I'm going to reveal

Can we just confirm what we know?

1. >20% alcohol.
2. Not a brand name
3. Not mixed with anything.
4. Mediterranean.
5. Usually served in less than half pint measures.
6. S.P. is unsure if it is made from fruit, or if it should be described as home made.
7. Is not currently in a glass.
8. It's flat.
Also as it is not on wiki's liqueur list it's sounding more like its a spirit.
Correct?

1-8 All correct however it is a liqueur. Google/Wiki won't help you and a correct answer doesn't need to name the drink itself, although it could of course.

Please reword question, not sure what you mean by "moonshine type thing". similar to the "is it homemade" question earlier.
I dint know how to phrase it!
Was it distilled in a non commercial way?
Is it nettle based?

or is it an OCD thing? (obviously you don't have to answer that and I'm not taking the piss, genuinely interested)

Okay. I'd decided I didn't really care about this, so I stayed away all weekend.
But it's still here Monday morning and alas, so am I.
'Just when I tort I was out, dey pull me back in '
So Perceval, Sir, I surmise, as it isn't a brand name, and is kind of homemade then we are really guessing at the main ingredient?
Which leads me to think the three word name is a literal one like Creme de Menthe for instance?

So we have now established that this is

a) Not going to be guessed because no one will ever have heard of it

b) Something winding people up

c) The mods read every post on the forum so can't escape the week of barren futility as everyone names drinks they have heard of which it can't be as no one has heard of the answer so why bother?

can we have the answer, then put this to rest please?

Only the third time I have asked, and others have asked too.

We also know that despite the title of the thread we are not looking for the name of the drink and have to think laterally

Seeing as it appears to be a challenge to think in line with SirPerceval as it is, trying to think how he might be working laterally might be a challenge

and he seemed like such a likeable guy when I met him regularly too!

Alternative is locking the thread, up to you ;-)

Feel free to lock the thread if you think that's what's needed. I personally can't see why. Threads that I have seen locked in the past are usually because people have started abusing each other and it's gotten quite nasty. Any abuse on here has all been in good humour IMO. People don't have to read the thread if they don't want to.

If the reason is because all mods read all posts then may I suggest this inefficient method isn't really my problem to be fair. I have utmost respect for the mods on here and I don't wish to waste anyones time but I don't see what it is that I've done wrong.

Does that include flaming the thread by posting "no" all the time?

Is the 2nd either an e or an o. I am going  to spell out the drink so I can delete the thread lol

yes

but I can assure you this will take longer than using logic and trying to guess what the drink is rather than trying to "name" the drink. The OP says I have a drink on my desk what is it. It doesn't say "name" it. I have pointed this out several times but everyone has chosen to ignore it and then point the finger at me for the thread length etc.

Naming the drink however would still be a win and would allow everyone to say "never heard of it" and blame me!

Well given that it's still on my desk and I will never ever drink it, it could be argued that's it's not  ;hide; but I guess that would be another pointless arguement and the fact that it is a drink would mean that side of the arguement would also be correct. confused? I know I am!

SirPerceval, I hope you realise you are responsible for a severe decline in my mental health.

Seriously, I had a dream last night that Tikay took me on a long drive through some winding, mountainous, Top Gear style road to a little taverna in the middle of nowhere, where upon his command of 'Bring the drink!' the landlady produced a jug of something that looked like Bailey's with bits of leaves and twigs in it.
Unfortunately before I could get my hands on said beverage, old Teeks collapsed with a severe leg cramp, causing everyone to run to his aid and me to wake up,
As you can imagine, this has left me feeling rather disturbed.
Then to top it all of you post this complete piffle.
I think I may have to take a holiday from Blonde.

Reminds me of a life lesson my great-grandfather gave me when I was four years old.

He gave me a penny and told me that, if I never spend it, I will always have money in my pocket.

I was very impressed by this for a number of years until I realised that, if I can never spend it, I might as well not have it.

Silly old fecker.

PMSL

As I do not wish some, or any, of the Blonde community topping themselves, I will be flexible on the answer, and therefore it is not a defined number of words.

Unless of course you want to continue guessing the name of the drink in which case it is 5, as you know. I say this because the name of the drink would also be a correct answer but I doubt anyone will have heard of it.  ;whistle;
