Hi Guys

In case Tighty isn't entertaining enough we have an incredible value online UKIPT Galway satellite running tonight!

I say incredible value as we have over 200 players in the club - and without 200 players in the club it's been 1 in 4 guaranteed a seat on a good day so I predict 1 in 3 win a seat tonight.

8.45pm £50 Freezeout - 6 x £250 UKIPT Final seats GTD...

Into Monday 5th Aug £250 final with 10 x £2,000 UKIPT Galway Packages GTD (that's £20,000 GTD online on Monday)

Only need 7 players for it to run with 6 seats GTD!

Get in early to help it run :)

Full details - http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/news/ukipt-galway---2-online-mega-sats---each-with-10-x-2000-packages-gtd/2348

Cheers Nicola

Marco Almeida is chip leader with nearly 150,000

He 4 bet jammed JJ into a raise from Aces and a 3 bet from Kings....and won to treble up

He is currently undergoing a rigorous rehabilitation process that aims to eradicate all adverse emotional attachments to the game and promote a positive mental attitude.  In a further testament to Linford Christie, we will also be pumping him full of drugs.

Among the exits as I tour round are

Shane Cattell
Kevin Smith
Robert Baguley
Jamie Moult, short but not so sweet. The tournament not Jamie
teamonkey, curently walking past me far too frequently in shorts, hawaiian shirt and knobbly knees
Jamie Holland

Trying to find some big hands, but failing.

Am succeeding in finding hands such as Q-3 in the big blind defending to a raise and two calls

flop Q-4-A

Four way to the turn after action

K

Four way to the river after it checked round

J

Checked round

and the big blind finds Q-3 is good against an UTG raiser and two others!

Two big hands as I wander

Ben Vinson 2,000

Kevin Byrne 7,000

Vinson 12,000

Call

J-Q-7

Vinson leads, Byrne raises and Vinson shoves Aces. Byrne Kings.

River K to take Vinson down to 15,000 or 20x bb

--

Rich Abson with Aces flops A-8-4

Nice

His customer with 10-8 who called his raise in position pre, James McMillan, has 10-8

Turn 8. Nice card for him, not.

He doubles up Abson when it goes in on the river

Think he truncated it due to very low view count & two long days to follow.

394 views in a full day (almost a record low for a Live Update) must be a bit demoralising for an Updater.

They ONLY work if there is feedback from viewers/readers.

The numbers suggest you are correct. As usual.

It may be that we were contracted to cover it, at our Sponsor's request. When something is Live Updated, as a general rule, it does actually add a few runners to the field, & the Guarantee on this one was a bit ambitious.

We have to cover two events per month and through the summer thats not so simple as the really high profile events (Deepstack, Grand Prix, Monte Carlo etc) are absent

This is the first of the Mini Deepstacks which run through August, and an update and associated promotion on blonde will help it hit a guarantee

However its probably sensible to do the small buy in event updates Saturday/Sunday only as the Friday night update had no one on past 11pm so it made sense for me to conserve my energies for two flights today, a long haul.

33 made it through then, making 105 stacks total so far for tomorrow at 1pm

The first flight today starts at 1pm, LR to 5.20pm

The second flight at 5pm, LR to 9.20pm

So far 587 runners in the six flights this week, needing 413 today to hit the £50,000 GTE

A pretty monstrous turnout, and great news for players wanting a modest buy in and a whopping guarantee, in terms of future events

Shalln't be joining y'all this weekend, so best of luck everyone making the trip.

I understand there is a relaxed dress code today, such that blazers may be worn and gentlemen may attend without the formality of a neck tie.

No coloured trousers, though. They aren't savages in Nottingham.

Numbers have increased substantially in the first level

We now have 109. Late reg is until 5.20pm for this flight and I expect quite a few along later in the afternoon for a stab at this flight and straight into the second, with late reg until 9.20pm, if they have to.

We have four exits so far

105    Wai Leung
106    John Engledow
107    Andy King
108    Ashley Sheppard

Fangzhou Liu opens to 350 at 75-150

Tom McCready calls on the button

Adrian Henry calls in the big blind

All three check down K-Q-A-K

On the J river Liu leads for 1000 and Tom calls

Liu shows K-J to win the pot

I wish these fuckers would stop making kings full v me.

Yiannis Liperis arrives, first orbit KK utg and makes it 600 at 100-200

Everyone calls. No exaggeration. UTG+1, UTG+2, UTG+3, cut off, hi-jack

Josh Gaston on the button makes it 6000

Yian 12,000 off his 30,000 starting

Gaston calls

Heads up to a Queen high flop

Yian leads, Gaston shoves, Yian calls.

Has run into QQ and is out trying to avoid roulette and blackjack until 5pm

Amjad Mohammed has just become the first player over 100,000, in Level 5

He called a raise with Jd Td and saw a flop of 4d Qd Ac

He raised a c-bet, and was shoved on for a stack slightly less than his own, but still a big 95,000 pot at 150-300

He called with flush draw and gutshot

The original raiser had flopped top two with A-Q

turn 8d and no re-draw for top two

just the one over 100,000 as reported above

bobalike and RED-DOG both struggling a little, 15,000 each at now 200-400 and no doubt with one eye on a spin up or a start again in the later flight

I reckon we have 745 entries so far after 7 of 8 flights

Need 255 at 5pm, late reg 9.20pm, to hit the £50,000

Chances? Or Not?

RED-DOG flats a raise from a very busy player with 4-5 spades in theblinds

6-5-K two clubs

He check calls a two thirds of the pot bet

J clubs turn

check, bet, shove to rep the flush

called by K-J

"that clears the way for the later flight then" he says phlegmatically

bobalike shoves 10,250 with KQo at 300-600

Allan Starkey reshoves for 33,000

A player folds A-Q

The intial raiser folds

Allan has K-Jdd

So both flights are taking place simultaneously and I don't know where to look

We had 582 runners before today

In the 1pm there are currently 102 of 170 left, and that flight will finish around 9pm

In the 5pm we have 131 of 134 left, and that flight is open for Late reg til 9.20pm

582+170+134=886 runners, so currently 114 short, or an overlay of £5,700

The dealer on my table was just stunning. Slim, tall, blonde, beautiful, vivacious....  I could go on. I fell in love, immediately and totally.

I think Tighty told me her name, but I was too mesmerised for it to register.

You missed out elegant Tom.

Flight 2, UTG+2 raises to 600 and gets 5 callers including Andy King in the small blind

bobalike 2300 in the big blind with 6-6

Original raiser passes

Two callers, Andy King in the small blind now raises 5,000 more

Which appears a bit unconventional to bobalike who thinks he is "at it"

bobalike shoves 11,000 more

Call

Andy has 8-8 that holds

flight two hits the break after 4 levels

Maria Demtriou has 7-7 "moaned in a pocket pair" and flopped 7-7-4, getting check raised on the flop

she makes a brave flat call on the flop and to a turn lead. On the 8 river her opponent hit a straight with 5-6

Maria led out 5,500. Got flatted by the straight

She has 48,000

Sean Belton is going well with over double average, 110,000 at 800-1600

On a tough table with Peter the Bandit and one of the chip leaders Stuart Fox

--

Northampton's Daniel Muddiman is also going well with just under 100,000

--

Maria Demetriou struggling with under 25,000, whilst on the enxt table Ben Vinson has 35,000

--

Ross Patman and Richard Blacklock have 75-85,000 in their merge stack attempts

--

A run down of the various tables

1 Robert Baguley the UKIPT Nottingham winner the chip leader with 175,000 at 1-2k average 78k. On his table a short-stacked Chinese Frankie and a medium stacked Raj Dhiri

2 Amjad Mohammed, who made day 2 in flight 1 earlier is going again and has turned 30,000 into 120,000 in an hour and a half since entering at 9.20pm

3 Guangzhu Fan is a big chip leader here. Pete the bandit and Ben Vinson are grinding below averages tacks

4 Nik Flanagan, who I last saw smile in 2011, still has 115,000 and is well placed

5 Chris Sly is right up there with 200,000+

6 Ross Patman has just gone out with 6-6 v Q-Jss which flushed on the rive. Dan Muddiman on this table

7 A short-stacked Maria Demetriou battling with Eso Kral with 130,000 and Stuart Foxat the other end of the table with 150,000

8 Sean Belton, Greek Jack, Sunny Mistri and Sean Randall, with Belton the only above average stack of those

David Burghardt raises

Michail Rudnev shoves

Sunil Mistri reshoves

Burghardt calls all in

Mistri the biggest stack

Rudnev at risk

250,000 pot comprising 160,000 main and 90,000 side

Burghardt K-K

Rudnev A-10

Mistri Q-Q

4-3-4-7-A

Rudnev trebles, Burghardt wins the side and Mistri does two thirds of his stack

Maria Demetriou 3 bet shoves 9-9 over a raise. A very short stack calls all in with A-K. The opener calls both with A-10, covered by Maria

The board runs out 5-6-7-8-9 to send the pot to A-10 and ruin Maria's shot at a 100,000+ stack

Three hands later with under 35,000 at 1500-3000 she shoves 7-7, runs into 10-10 and is out 75th

Michael Varnham limps UTG

Robert Baguley 23,000 UTG+1

Christopher Kirby calls

Craig White calls

Nigel Turver calls in the big blind

Varnham calls

 2s 9s 3d

check to Baguley, 60,000

Kirby calls

White all in 145,000 total

Turver calls all in for less than 50,000

Varnham folds

Baguley think folds

Kirby think thin calls with  Jd Jc

Turver  Aspades 4c

White  9c 9d

2d on the turn seals the deal for White who more than doubles up and knocks out Turver

A multiway limped pot

One of the chip leaders Andy Wilson limps in the cut off

Redsimon Lawlor completes in the small blind and they all see

a flop of 7-8-9

Not too bad for Simon with J-10 and he checks

Wilson c-bets the flop

With 5-6

Not too bad at all

Lawlor doubles up to over 500,000

Tom Somerville opens to 100,000

On the button Sean Randall goes to raise, picks up a 100,000 chip, notices that Tom has already raised and says

"I am all in then"

Call

Tom A-K

Sean 8-2!

1.8m pot

2 in the door....

K next card out

A-K holds to send dimtomsom into the stratosphere

Next hand while I am talking Randall is out, to Somerville again and Randall has done an above average stack in two hands....

24 left

That exit hand

A raise to 300,000

Somerville flats with Aces. Sneaky weaky

Randall shoves 9-10

the raiser shoves 8-4

and tom takes them both out when Aces hold.

There must be something in the air conditioning. Catnip perhaps.

Somerville 2.2m

Keep taking photos. That is sure to induce a urinating contest.

Not literally, I hope. That would probably warrant a penalty of some form. And the resultant updates ITT would be at best niche.

Somerville raises and Goodall over-bet shoves. Fold. Shows Kings

Somerville raises soon after, Goodall min 3 bets, Somervilel senses weakeness and 4 bet shoves just over 2m with Q-J. Goodall calls with A-K, holds.

Goodall just covers Somerville who is out 12th in a feat of self-destruction last witnessed and self inflicted when I accompanied the DTD Dealers on a night out in Nottingham City Centre.

I was asked my tip for a winner

Jack Allen

Its time. (mind you I said that about Liam Batey for two years, and had to wait til he went to Vegas 8000 miles away from my reports to bink something)

So close with the prediction tighty.

Great tourney, great fun to follow. Same again next week. See you all then, + a few extra runners for the guarantee for DTD.

Tom Somerville opens to 160,000 called on the button by Simon Lawlor

Jack Allen all in big blind 1.385m

Somerville passes

Lawlor calls all in for 1.1m with A-Qo

10-4-3-9-6 to knock Simon Lawlor out 18th

Tighty,  Simon Lawlor seems to have crawled away to die quietly somewhere, unless went to a cash table of course?  DO YOU REMEMBER what Jack Allen had aga8nst Simon's AQo?  You will appreciate my interest.

As you urged everyone to join in the £50 satellite to UKIPT Galway on the basis of value, I happily went there and put up the necessary. Promisingly placed 4th out of 15 (6 X £2,000 packages were on offer), I pushed with Aspades Ad and was called by iboz2929 with Jc Ks.  Flop  9s 7h 5d meant no flushing. The unlikely horror of backdoor QT for a straight was quickly dispelled when the turn paired him with  Js.  I almost 'fell off the twig' when he rivered Jh!

Telling bad-beat stories is not my worst habit ... not even close.  Now at bubble stage and being 5/7,  Ac 2c clubs in the big blind tempted me to call the min raise of the same opponent. I shoved on the 2d 9s 6s flop. He called with his Qd Aspades.  Turn  7h, river  Qh ... goodnight Galway ... sadly I had already chosen my hotel.

Who is Iboz2929?  I fancy I might have a tenner on him to win the thing. rotflmfao   Google gives little support to the notion!  (I hope this isn't flaming?)

As for myself I need some support.  I see that I have to have 300 posts to be eligible for staking here.  Only 277 to go after this.  Expect some activity on a daily basis from me.  ;reallyamsorry;

That exit hand

A raise to 300,000

Somerville flats with Aces. Sneaky weaky

Randall shoves 9-10

the raiser shoves 8-4

and tom takes them both out when Aces hold.

There must be something in the air conditioning. Catnip perhaps.

Somerville 2.2m

Huh???? Lol who was the raiser please?

Well done to my boy Jack! Boys comes good past his usual min cash :) unlucky HU. Saving the 1st for a bigger one. What a class act ;)

UTG shoved for 300k (8bb), i called UTG+1 (though I think it was short handed)
Sean had about 2bb left from the last hand and flicked it in on the button
The BB flats with a big pile of chips too

Flop comes T42 or something
BB checks, I bet 320k and bb folds

Yeah, thanks for Updates Mr Tight, always appreciated. Bit disappointed that Tomsom12 couldn't convert my charitable gift into something more meaningful. I will avoid playing 82 in future, and of course will keep my eye on the table for action preceding me.... rest assured folks when I go all in.... 100% of the time I have better.
Much Better.

Feedback on the tourn. Most seemed to think it was great. Enjoyed playing the day 1's, not so sure about day 2. 2 Bullets and 2 merged stacks meant I was confident coming back but the blinds soon levelled. Aside from the catnip in the air, i think the slow money jumps and relative low returns (unless in top 5) lead to my loss of concentration after a couple of long days play...

Wp to winner and other finalists.

Thanks Celtic, I appreciate that.
Sorry that I soiled a tournament update thread with a badbeat saga.  I may be old, been a blondeite for years, but I don't post often, as you can see.
Simon emailed me to berate me for this, but didn't get round to telling me what Jack held ... typical.
