A-HA!

I saw a hand

Chinese Frankie raises and Chirs Seider defends the blinds at 2500-5000

check check on 4-6-10 rainbow

Sieder leads on the 9 turn and Frankie smooth flat chatter calls

River K

Seider checks, which si a decent check as it turns out with 8-7 for the turned straight

Frankie bets the pot and Seider calls

Frankie shows him Q-J and is called a "river rat" by a lady at the table

The lady has obviously never met Frakie before, because this sets him off...

I depart, slowly and unobtrusively, the decibels rising behind me...

Spare a thought for Kyle Godden in seat 7. Comes out for a nice game of poker and ends up between Ade Odetoyinbo and Jason Herbert

This pair have already had a warning from the TD in the first three levels, and are sparring with about as much wit and dexterity as Eddie the Eagle showed when ski-jumping (up to date metaphor there)

On a board reading  7d Aspades 8d 6h

big blind Manuel Garcia Gonzalez bets 21,000

Chinese Frankie allin for 53,000 after his Foxy-86 bad beat from above

He gives it the verbals

Amusingly, in a you had to be there sense, Gonzalez puts his headphones back on half way through the speech and Frankie carries on

Gonzalez eventually calls with  8s 9s

Frankie  Ahrt 5h

he holds on the  Kh to double up.

Milligan raises, is flatted in position and a shorter-stack shoves in the big blind for about a third of his stack

He calls. The caller in position passes Q-J and Milligan has 8-8 v 4-4 to knock a player out and go about double average

flop x-4-x

turn 4

Not to be then, as he curls the corner of his top lip in disdain....

In part this will be because the payout is very flat until the top 15 players so the difference between going out 350th and 230th say is very small

Lots of gambling play to get a stack and get to the later stages tomorrow, compared to a tournament where people grind it out more. Put simply, not a lot of point laddering for many levels yet

Karabiner is out in 190th or so

He got up to 400,000 earlier on, then a mistimed squeeze with A-Q backfired and he was down to 200,000

Then found JJ which lost to Dewi James' QQ to knock him out

Dewi has 400,000 at 5-10k, just over average

Peter Wigglesworth 800,000

Dann Williams 675,000

After an UTG raise, Shane Cotter 3 bets KK in late position

In the big blind Kyle Godden 4 bet shoves QQ and the initial raiser folds

Kings call.

For a 500,000 pot the flop comes A-Q-8 to double Godden up and keep him in the hunt for the bigger money

Robert Dixey right up there with 1.5m chips

but he gets A-K all in with Q-J on the turn (bets, calls a shove from the flush and striaght draw)

Tan Le with the Q-J

1m chip pot

the river brings a diamond to double Tan up and take Dixey down to 1m

He is flatted by the big blind

They get it all in on the flop, to create a monster 2.3m pot......

The big blind has K-J...

Nice hand

Milligan has.......

He holds, up now to 2.4m, average 1.3m at 25-50k and 56 left

This is the further he has been in any comp I have ever updated.

Ganesh Jayaraman "Vinodh" opens to 100,000 and Kyle Godden makes it 320,000

Vinodh 4 bet to 650,000 leaving himself 50,000 behind

Godden all in, and obviously call

So a 1.4m pot with Vinodh at risk

Vinodh A-A

Godden 4-4

2-8-J-5-Q to double him up to an average stack

Peter Wigglesworth knocks out two players in the same hand to go to 2.5m

Derek Hart shoves 650,000 at 25-50k

Wigglesworth calls

Derek Kavanagh calls all in (he must have had some setbacks to be below 500,000 or 10x bb)

Hart A-Ko

Wigglesworth 9-9

Kavanagh 7-7

8-8-5-10-2 knocks Hart and Kavanagh out 48th and 49th respectively

Really enjoyed today, played with a great bunch of people who were all really friendly and tilt friendly. Good luck to Frankie who I shared a table with for first time - lovely guy and Skalie who I would  love to get an overdue bink.

Apologies  to the guy I misclicked after announcing raise - not seeing his 171k jam as absorbed in game as I'd gone large and btts in Arsenal game. Actually horrid to to suck our on kid with  Th 6h and he took it really well.

Peter Wigglesworth lost a 2.5m chip pot at the end to leave him with 700,000

Ac Tc v  Kh Qs on  Qc 8c 4d

He shoved over a c-bet, was called and missed

--

Thewy ended with 2m

--

Gimac ended with 1.5m

The pot was actually 3.5 million and would have given me 4.2 million and the chip lead.
Did think about shoving pre was 60/40 fav as I put him on a mediocre hand he had been raising OOP regularly
Post flop it was 40/60, so no regrets really just need a bit of run good in this situations!

Great idea Tighty to get pictures of all the GP day 2 players.......if I do manage to get a double up and big score I will be reinvesting it in the club cash games......perhaps rob can get me a patch to stick on my hoody.
Gimac played the club online cash games to get a seat for the Grand Prix, whoever came up with that idea, needs a pat on the back......will certainly let the blue blooders know about any added incentives, we do have several decent cash players!

Surely this can't be right Tighty with 8/9 bigs if we restart as yesterday I assume I will be on the BB even though the button was in seat 6/7

Would've expected a redraw for day 3 and even if there isn't we should not be playing 4 tables as we are playing 9 handed and 36 divided by 9 = 4!

Please can you confirm table 11 shows 7 players

Table 12 10 players???

blind on blind Frankie sets Houston in, who is one of two shortstacks at the table

Call

Frankie 8-9o

Houston 2-2

4-A-9-7-4

Lloyd Houston finishes 9th

As a crowd of railers peer from the middle tier and cheer, Greek Jack the Golden Chip now a winner clenches both fists in football style celebration

Frankie the other Golden Chip winner, as if an adolescent budgie inhaling helium, chirps and cheeps his way to his mates, in obvious delight

Well done both, and well done all 8 finalists

45 minute break now. I gather the DTD Website is currently down but either way Ian Gascoigne and I are going into commentate. At worst this will appear on "past recordings" on the DTD site this week

Hopefully the site will be up for you to watch the stream live though

Sam will do the thread, she's gone home to update it from her screen there

I've decided to carry on with forum updates until such point that the site is up...keep everyone in touch with what is happening

this will mean the stream recording out on the site in the week will be minus commentary

I will commentate as and when the site comes back up.

Walji 3.7m

Chinese F 11.75m

Nisbet 2m

Greek J 3.5m

Tan Le 21m

Skalie 13.2m

Cotter 7.1m

are the current chip counts at 200-400k

maybe five minutes away, real time, from starting

if I go in and do commentary that will be on a 20 minute delay so there will be a spoiler or two on here for the stream, but I am making the best of the situation rather than keeping everyone interested on the final hanging with no stream and no update

Tan won his seat to the Grand Prix by playing 25p-50p Online on the new club cash games

He earned 50 points, won two seats and turned that into £50,00

Here he is relating the spin up story to Rob afterwards

Many congratulations

A word for Milidonk. He said its been a tough year for him, and to win £25,000 for second is an enormous result for a popular poster on blonde at an important time for him

Many congratulations

Well done also to Greek Jack and Chinese Frankie for their 3rd and 4th place finishes and their Golden Chip Sucesses. They are both off to the Caribbean in November

Also Skalie, well done for 5th

Many thanks to popsroff who helped today and especially when I went into commentary

A word for Simon and his team, ran the comp flawlessly all weekend, not an easy task to start a 388 runner comp (from 4932 total, sorting merged stacks etc) on the dot of 2pm and every break to time etc etc

Right, I am off. Thanks for watching and goodnight

We take this so much for granted at DTD and it's only when you play elsewhere that you fully appreciate it.

Great competition and well done to Frankie, Greek Jack and Millidonk.

Thanks for the love guys, massively appreciated, so many heros on blonde. As Tighty said it couldn't have come at a better time for me personally. Sorry I couldn't bring the trophy home for us,  Le looked favourite to win it 3 tables out imo so vwp him.

really fun comp and was great seeing everyone.

Would be interested to know just how bad my A7 jam was? Tez at HU so felt happy to take a 25k flip..

Stream adds 50lbs btw.

Nice bink Millidonk! Will keep wolves from the door for a while after the redundancy.

Wow what excellent timing ftw, well done. Milli you should join the LPG now as hon member. Well played all the regs, and DTD for the flawlessness, and of course Tighty.
An excellent torn, will miss the 300 this weekend so good luck all.

I join the action with the board reading

2c 6d 3c

Tan Le leads from the blinds for 755,000

Rubin Pham, the pre-flop raiser all in for 1.97m

A dwell to rival alll dwells before CALL

With Ahrt 2h by Le

Pham Kc Ks

turn 8h

river....Ac

to knock out Pham 22nd and send Tan Le into a 8.4m chip lead

Not like it matters much now but I lead 250k and he raises 775k then I shove... Slight correction...

Wanted to add to my posts...

Great updates tighty
