Title: Super 50 Giant... post rebuy spot
Post by: Derbylad on December 15, 2013, 05:49:05 PM
Stack sizes...
Hero: 34-5k
Frankie: 18-19k
Villain 1: 15k
Villain 2: 15-16k

Blinds 200/400:

UTG (Weak passive player): opens to 800
Hero in UTG+1:  Ad Kh raises to 1800 (In before told 3 bet should be bigger...)
Folds to Villain2 who flats
Folds to Villain 1: shoves
Frankie: Flat calls leaving 2-3k behind
OR: Folds
Hero: ...

Villain 1's been looking for a spot to get it in for a while and can be shoving with a wider range just with the additional steal in the middle. Frankie we obviously perceive as strong but can be isolating himself knowing that Villain1's range is going to be wider than usual. Villain 2 has been giving the I need to double or going to play cash speech for the past few orbits and is likely to call with the additional value. If we put Frankie in and Villain 2 calls we're risking 18-19k to win ~70k. This does only leave us with half our stack if we're wrong though and the reload period is now over. While we perceive Frankie to be beating our range he's only got 6 combinations of AA/KK and the rest of his range we're taking a gamble against.

So WWYD?

Ok a totally recreational players view:

I reckon villain 2 will likely fold most of the time - he just called so he wanted to see a flop not go all in.

Other than that as this is a one day comp (I think??) with likely 30min blinds (??) I'd go all in and take the gamble hoping to build a decent stack. Then pray they all have AQ.

I wonder what the regulars think?

Yeah, knowing one of the players in the hand helps a lot, Chinese Francis does not put them chips across the line light!!!! It is a snap fold for me.
