Title: Min raise ruling
Post by: reaper30 on December 29, 2013, 09:17:08 AM
Hi all happy christmas and new year.

Just been asked question on a ruling and interested to see your views.

Blinds are 2k/4k
Utg shoves for 6k
What options are open to the other players and what could their min raise be?

Think I'd say 10k.

Think I'd say 10k.

I have been told its 10 but I myself with my meagre understanding thought it was 8k

6k going round. Min raise of 4k to 10k, BB gets option of call/raise. Had there been any callers prior to the shove they'd only get the option of call/fold as it needs to be a full raise to re-open action.

Personally for me min raise is to 10k, but Pokerstars have now changed their rules for UKIPT's and EPT's that in this scenario the 6k is classed as a call, and if someone wanted to min raise then it would be to 8k total. Don't agree with it and think someone has got confused with limit. But it is what it is and that is what they now do.
