They are due to play 10 levels today but surely they will have to play more to get to a  reasonable number for a Sunday finish, but news when I get it

Tony Housden 6000 on the button

David Brook all in 32000 in the big blind

Wagstaff folds

Housden calls

Housden  Ad 8d

Brook  Qh Qs

 4s Kh 7d 2d

The silence is punctuated by a gasp from the rail which lingers in the air as the river is dealt

Vinodh check calls 4,000 on  4h Kh Aspades

All the fun of the fair on table Grafton

Vinodh opens to 4500

Sam Grafton calls

 4c 3c Qs

Vinodh 4,000

Grafton 11,000

Call

 Jh turn

Vinodh check

Grafton 26,000

Vinodh check raise to 110,000 with 60,000 behind

Grafton shove

Call

Grafton A-Q

Vinodh A-A

Aces hold on the 2 river to take Gafton down to 20,000

---

Very next hand Vinodh opens to 4,500

Mike Brazier makes it 11,000

Call

On the turn both stacks are in with Brazier at risk but he has K-K v 7-7 for the double to take Vinodh tumbling down the stack counts again

Dan Charlton raises in the cut off

Mad Turk calls in the small blind

George Dempsey calls in the big blind

 7d 4c 6c

Turk leads the flop

Dempsey, unaware that Turk has bet, bets and puts in enough to be forced to min raise

Charlton then raises to 30,000

Turk now re-raises to 56,000

Dempsey, struggling to make peace with his mistake earlier on the flop, folds frustratedly

Back to Charlton who shoves for 200,000

The decision is now back on Turk who just covers Charlton and if he calls its the biggest pot I have seen so far today

He thinks, mutters to himself

"oy oy oy oy oy"

"I might already be drawing dead"

He asks the dealer if he can phone his friend. The dealer gives a smile of a nature that clearly suggests to Turk that such a suggestion is frowned upon

Eventually Turk says "good luck my friend" to Charlton and calls flipping over  7h 4h

Charlton has  Kc 5c

Both stand. Both tense up visibly

turn  8c

river  2d

Charlton doubles to over 425,000 and close to, if not the, chip lead

He has 45,000 and blinds go 2000-4000 next

---

Greg Hill is up to 230,000 helped by Q-Q on a Q high board. Apparently his opponent "chose the wrong time to bluff me" and then paid him off

On the same table as Greg is John Conroy who had a fun one

Raised with Aces, called in the blind by Js 9s of Nadeem Abbas

flop Aspades 8s Td

He got it in against the combo draw

turn paired the 8, to seal the deal for him

river 7s so it was just as well

Conroy has about 300,000

I had a bit of a fallow period spotting hands after the break so I went round each table - there are only 16 now so its a bit easier - to give you an impression of each

We are only 30 places off the money

Thewy appears to have struggled to make progress today and now has an under average stack. He has direct position on Coore though who has a stack and might do them, in my experience, in unlikely situations

11    1    Paul Brown
11    2    Susan Adams
11    3    Andrew Hazelwood
11    4    Joseph Mccreery
11    5    Richard Johnson
11    7    Stacy Coore
11    8    Paul Bampton
11    9    Julian Thew

Toffel, Frankie and Peejay have a tough spot here (with under average stacks) as a) Tim Slater's table broke and he moved to their left and then Renee Xie is sitting with 350,000+

12    1    Russell Betts
12    2    Michael Kane
12    3    Danny Toffel
12    4    Chin Chai Koh
12    5    Paul Jenkinson
12    6    Tim Slater
12    7    Renee Xie
12    8    Christopher

I was watching for a while hoping young bucks Deadman and Chung would clash. Both have 300,000 and in the middle Grand Prix winner Tan Le is above average too. This is now the feature table

13    1    Kal Singh
13    2    Simon Deadman
13    3    Ramazanali Abbassi
13    4    Sacha Brookes
13    5    Tan Le
13    6    Timothy Chung
13    7    Jay Scott
13    8    Neville Oates
13    9    Abbas Ladak

Mo Muse has a big stack, which is bad news for the rest of the table

14    1    Jason Beazley
14    2    Neil Strike
14    3    Wahid Patel
14    4    David Newman
14    5    Anthony Gardner
14    6    Robin Fisher
14    7    Kirit Patel
14    8    Mahamed Muse
14    9    Mark Wates

Stato looks very comfortable here. Just made a series of nice calls on a 7-7-A-8-6 board, winning with 10-10 against Charles Denton. English Poker Open winner La Ronde, and Tomlin have position on Stato but neither have the stack to mplay back too loosely

21    1    Lee Taylor
21    2    Nigel Booth
21    3    Charles Denton
21    4    James Gardner
21    5    Joe Underwood
21    6    Andrew Hulme
21    7    David La Ronde
21    8    James Tomlin
21    9    Arran Fletcher

One of the chip leaders is Corion with 600,000+ and I haven't seen him have a setback all day

22    1    John Conroy
22    2    Ish Patel
22    3    Greg Hill
22    4    Steven Fitzpatrick
22    5    Luke Cerklewicz
22    6    Harprit Singh Gurnam
22    7    Sarbjit Kular
22    8    Phillip Corion
22    9    Craig Betteridge

Not the quietest of tables and quite a tough line up. Ceri Rees has had a good day, up to 350,000 or so whereas progress for the likes of Atkin and Barnett is steadier. Wes Ellis with 500,000+ is chip leader on this table

23    1    Ben Jackson
23    3    John-paul Kelly
23    4    James Atkin
23    5    Ceri Rees
23    6    Derek Collinson
23    7    Paul Zimbler
23    8    Stuart Barnett
23    9    Weswell Ellis

Sinem has over 300,000 and, having watched her play over the last few years I genuinely think her game has come on masses and masses. Much better temperament at the table too. Ken Billups is steady over 225,000

25    1    Stuart Bill
25    2    Sinem Melin
25    3    Paul Mason
25    4    Cosimo Dellisola
25    5    Michael Richardson
25    6    Kenneth Billups
25    7    Luke Hallinan
25    8    Oliver White
25    9    Jamie Clossick

McNamee has about 450,000. I went to double check again. Good luck getting a bluff through seats 2,3,4 and 5. Lots of multiway raised posts on this table

26    1    James Mcnamee
26    2    Mohammed Istakhar Sadiq
26    3    Basharat Mahmood
26    4    Andreas Olympios
26    5    Nicholas Gavriel
26    6    Madlena Rezk
26    7    David Chau
26    8    Andy King
26    9    Caicai Huang

Vinodh in seat 1 has 300,000. Housden continues to do well, nicely over average

27    1    Ganesh Jayaraman
27    2    Marc Brazier
27    3    Raj Dhiri
27    4    Thomas Zhang
27    5    Darren Mapley
27    6    Lee Cockroft
27    7    Tony Housden
27    8    Mark Wagstaff
27    9    Matt Adams

Warburton has a good record in GPS events and he has 400,000+, steadily chipping up while the Mad Turk chip rollercoaster dips and soars to his right. Charlton has lost some ground with now about 250,000. Yet to see Carlo play a pot today, but that might just be my luck. Or then again he might not have played a pot today

31    1    Alan Ellis
31    2    Carlo Citrone
31    3    Kevin Asquith
31    4    Daniel Charlton
31    5    James Bott
31    6    Yucel Eminoglu
31    7    George Dempsey
31    8    Craig Holmes
31    9    Steven Warburton

Jamie Burland has just over 200,000 on what appears to me to be one of the quieter tables

32    1    David Burraway
32    2    Richard Horton
32    3    Umar Khan
32    4    Kevin Houghton
32    5    Steve Brook
32    6    Asif Raja
32    7    Garwo Chu
32    8    Richard Garner
32    9    Jamie Burland

Nick Hicks 175,000, Ash Hussain 225,000, Raggy Clarke 150,000

33    1    Ben Longstaff
33    2    Kevin Whelan
33    3    Sam Patel
33    4    Niels Ladefoged
33    5    Oliver Caplan
33    6    Arshad Hussain
33    7    Nick Hicks
33    8    James Clarke
33    9    Derek Baxter

Nathan Davies with just over 200,000 got those early yesterdaty and has merely held his own for about 10 levels now. Not a table with big stacks this

34    1    Adrian Coombes
34    2    Anonymous
34    3    Grant Mercado
34    4    Nathan Davies
34    5    Mats Rosen
34    6    Shaun Herran-venables
34    7    William Roach
34    8    Neil Mcculloch
34    9    Lee Dixon

Mark McCluskey has had a decent stack all day whereas Mitch has really ground a short-stack all day
35    1    Marios Andreas
35    2    John O Reilly
35    3    Bernard Gyimah
35    4    Andrew Hawksby
35    5    Peter Craw
35    6    Mark Mccluskey
35    7    Mitchell Johnson
35    8    Jonathan Grice
35    9    James Robinson

Here Paul Grummitt leads. He is wearing a Grey jacket festooned in Mod (as in mods and rockers) memorabilia. On the back is a CND peace symbol. I suppose I had better take a picture.

36    1    Marios Arkadiou
36    2    Michael Kossov
36    3    Jamie O Connor
36    4    Fahd Bennani Smires
36    5    Danny Parry
36    6    Colin Gillon
36    7    Paul Grummitt
36    8    Stuart Giulian
36    9    Samuel Goodman

the higher numbered tables are first to break

Happy to answer requests for specific chip counts. In the meantime off to find some hands

Paul Jenkinson has doubled twice to 240,000

He found Aces with 15x bb with a raise and a 3 bet in front of him.

Nice, especially when they held

He then made a full house against a flopped straight, his set pairing on the turn for the second double

--

JP Kelly opens to 8,000 UTG

Stuart Barnett 24,000 on the button

Tim Zhang call in the big blind

JP calls

8s 3c 2d

check to Suart who bets 30,000

Tim calls, JP folds

turn and river Jc 5c

check check check and Barnett shoves 86,000 on the river

Zhang ponders, and ponders. Ponders for most of halt time in the United match. This probably represents quite a challenge for Stuart who if he isn't holding his breath nappears to be doing a good impression of holding his breath. He doesn't move a muscle throughout the entire Zhang dwell.

Zhang eventually folds and Barnett is up to 220,000

It was quite a fun time the last few minutes

when there is an all in and a call the cards stay down until all the other tables are clear

In response to a raise to 11,000 and a call Neil Strike made it 75,000

Tim Slater all in for 79,000

Strike call

Strike says to Tim that he has Kings

Tim tells strike he has Aces

We then wait 8 minutes 33 seconds for the flop to be dealt

I count, because I have time, 56 people around the table waiting for this hand. Players from other tables, railers, staff...the works

So its Aces against Kings

K  Roar from the crowd

Q

J

"Ten" cry the rail

10 on the turn with the most enormous roar from part of the room and the biggest "ffs" from another

river...

A

Enormous laughter from the rail , Slater slumps to the floor, Strike looks stunned

and we carry on, as the crowd disperses the dealer chops the pot

and it was...

109    Stuart Barnett

We have a new chip leader

JP Kelly raised

Dan Charlton 3 bet

JP 4 bet

Charlton 5 bet

JP 6 bet shoved covering Charlton

All these are "click back" min raises

Charlton called all in for 250,000 with Queens

JP flipped Ace-Jack

and spiked

He now has 950,000 nearly 4x average with 89 left

Watch out rest of field

I raised an eyebrow in JP's general direction and he told me, with a shy smile

"I just didn't feel like folding"

Feel free to put the chip counts up if they appear on fb overnight. They are a while coming to me rather than soon after play so I head off

John Grice is Out.

Our table broke.

Got moved and picked no hands up at all. Then with 35 Minutes to go got moved to the Video table.

Last 3 hands called of the day had 180kish coming back to 10/20k on Sunday. Penultimate hand
pushed my chips in NO LOOK and was called with KQ and the mighty  36os failed to get lucky.

Really enjoyed turning £15 online into £1800. Sat next to Mitch J. Mitch played poker like Beckham kicks a ball. #amazing

Great updates.

Tighty took my picture. I asked him how do I  look? "I've not got a lot to work with" #charming

Regards

M
