508 entrants in the 1pm flight

So headed into the final flight entries are at 2,007

The final flight is going to be hectic. You can hardly move in DTD for people, more crammed than I have ever seen it and the issue is how big can the 6pm flight be, how many tables are spare? etc....

Tomorrow is going to be long too, could be 300+ back to play to a finish! 6am Monday morning anyone?

Anyway, what a great success this comp is. Simply unbelievable number of entries

Any danger of the super fifty tomorrow not going ahead? I presume enough will be busted in first two hours

Any big pots yet?  ;shame;

for sure, but they will most likely be reported from tomorrow

We are still mostly dealing with people buying in, many of whom need to register accounts or be reminded their log in details

The first flight with 405 entries is in Level 13 of 16 with 131 left

The second flight has 325 Unique players! Entry and re-entry is open, still

All 45 tables in the club are in use

With 200 or so through before today I would say 300+ will be back for Day 2

Tom Somerville had one bullet today

At 400-800 starting the hand with 37,000

UTG min raises to 1600

small blind 3 bets to 4200

in the big blind with A-Ko, Tom makes it 7,900

UTG folds

Small blind calls

K-3-2 two spades

check

Tom 7,500

Call

Turn 9 third spade

check

check

River 5 spades

Tom does not have a spade

Small blind leads for 11,000

Tom ships it

small blind calls with J-J including the Jack of spades to knock him out

David Milligan has joined beer corner

Kings losing to Tens all in pre was the killer

A-5 flopping the nut flush draw and top pair against A-Q and bricking out delivered the coup de Grace

With 400+ runners per live flight, there are some hurdles for everyone to overcome.

A gentleman, who declined to give me his name, raised on the button with Queens

Daniel Johan in the big blind 3 bet the big blind and gentleman shoves

Johan, calls the shove for virtually his whole stack

I happened to be walking past

Gentleman half rises to his feet, exclaims "whaaaaa...." a word left hanging in the air before the flop is dealt

Because the place is so packed, and this particular table is near the front door, there was a crowd watching for the poor gentleman

On the turn, there was quite a roar.

With about 90 minutes of the second flight left to enter the figures are quite absurd

2007 entries before this flight

So far 346 uniques and 65 re-entries, 411 total

So 2418 entries and rising!

The first flight finished with a whopping 74 through to tomorrow

That makes 273 with one flight to go

I will put chip counts when they are done

I am getting old, and its an 18 hour day tomorrow. No way this is finishing much before the Monday rush hour, hence I will retire before the end of the final flight tonight and put those chip counts up in the morning, get some rest and do tomorrow justice.

h, Hugh Black made it through flight one making day two Three times in eight flights with 85k, 122k and now 153k the 153k being carried through for tomorrow

Guy Johnson made it through with 165k

BangBang made it through with 210k

456 entries in the final flight (357 + 99 re-entries)

An incredible, scarcely believeable 954 entries today

In total I tot up 2463 entries and a £123,000+ prize pool

With 273 through already I am guesstimating 350 through for tomorrow, around 295 paid (12% of 2463) and a first prize of £25,000ish

Proper figures when I get them from Simon hopefully before play tomorrow

LOOOL it's really hard to win with a queen and a queen.

It really was for this poor guy, he had QQ a total of 3 times whilst he was on the table and lost each time!  Pretty sick.
Another guy had KK twice and lost both times  :-X ;gobsmacked;

We are hand for hand, so the story of how we have an 800,000 chip leader

Two chip leaders at table 27 clash

Michael Stone raises and Szczepan Chrzanowski calls

Szczepan Chrzanowski. I am running well as an updater, right?

Szczepan Chrzanowski

flop 9-10-3

Stone 25,000 call

2

Stone 25,000 raise to 50,000 call

Q

Stone 75,000 Szczepan Chrzanowski all in 400,000 call

Stone tables A-J

Everyone looks twice. Yes A-J

"Oh, thought I had A-Q"

Szczepan Chrzanowski K-J for the straight to become chip leader

"I am so stupid" says Stone, after his unfortunate mishap

Tables are breaking streadily and one such break has put GUKPT Winner Kully Sidhu and Leigh Wiltshire next to GPS Winner Richard Milner and actionjack with Stephanie Livesey to their left

This is an interesting line up, as moving around the tables its playing more aggressively pre-flop than some with 3 and 4 bettign standard whereas more flops are being seen elsewhere

Richard Blacklock is out around 110th

Lost two pots to the same player

With 270,000 he called a button shove at 10-20k for 52k with J-6 in the big blind, was against 10-5 and lost

Next hand he had A-Q all in against a shorter stack A-6 and saw a 6-6-x flop

left with 2.5x bb he shoved 6-8ss into Hasmukh Khodiyara, no good

Jason Herbert went down to 300,000 and then faced a shove from mid position. He in the big blind looked down at QQ and called, essentially all in. Up against 89cc he held. He now has 700,000

--

Guy Johnson up to 1.1m

--

David Blacklaw is out AQ v 99 AIPF, of Nick McAvoy who now has 1.2m

--

Martyn frey has suffered a set back

He 3 bet 10-10 to a button raise of Will Ross-Jones, who 4 bet shoved A2cc for not a lot more

a club came on the flop, then runner runner clubs to double Ross-Jones up

Tommy Bingham played out an 700,000 pot against Balbir Pottiwal

Balbir raised to 75,000 at 10-20k

Tommy jammed 450,000 with 9-9

Balbir calls off, playing 250,000 behind....with Q-10 suited

and spiked, turning a flush to leave Bingham frustrated, to say the least

A bit later down to 5x bb Tommy jams K-8cc into Jacks and is just out

its a hairy time now, under 20x bb average and 55 left. Now's the time to win flips and punish timidity.

Four figure payouts from 10th up, and Golden Chips who final win a £2k UKIPT pacakge and the final ten win an £1100 UKPC seat

The bubble from 11 to 10 later, when most of you are in the land of nod, is going to be a fun one

Kully Sidhu opens to 300,000 UTG playing 4m

James WIlliams on the button shoves for 2.1m

A long long think from Sidhu

I walk away to the other table, not expecting a call

I come back, he's still thinking

Call, with a slow deliberate push of a pile of blue chips over the line

Sidhu 9-9

Williams K-Qo

First card out a Queen, to which Sidhu grunts

K-Q holds, doubles the dangerous James Williams to over 4.3m and halves Sidhu's stack

Jeremy Marriott raises to 350,000 in mid position and Guy Johnson calls in the big blind

Johnson check calls 400,000 on Tc 2h 4c

9c turn

Johnson checks with a tilt of the head, like an expectant puppy awaiting a treat

Marriott shoves for just over 1.2m

Johnson makes a face, twists his mouth, contorts an expression, tilts his head the other side, counts out chips to call, leans back, looks at a valet. Now the treat has arrived he is not sure whether he wants it or not

After some further reflection he puts 13 blue chips in to call with Qd Td

Marriott stands, flips Ace-four of hearts

"I need an Ace or a four" he tells me

I write this down

river is 8s and we lose Marriott in 18th

The two tables are quite a contrast. On table 11 Hall and actionjuack rule the roost, and are surrounded generally by shorter stacks not getting involved too much, clinging to the north face of the golden chip eiger in some cases

On the other table, as you can tell by most of the hands being reported being from here, its mixed a lot more. More flops, more action. Johnson, Williams, Sidhu, Anon etc all involved

Haven't seen Jason play a hand for 30 minutes or so. Its not easy to do so when your eyes are welded to your facebook feed.

Herbie raises with Aces

Guy Johnson 3 bets

Herbie calls......

the flop comes 7 high

Now at this point I am watching an all in and dwell on the other table

So my details are scarce

Herbie himself would criticise me for this, I should be in two places at once but anyway

Johnson has a set of sevens, and Herbie pays him off down the streets, the river bet was 1.3m

Looks as if Johnson is up to around 7m, Herbie down under 5.5m again

Chip leaders

Joe Hall
Guy Johnson
Actionjack
James cottonbud/ljamesl/sprintersacre/lotsofonlinenicknames Williams

all over 7m with 14 left at 100-200k now average 3.5m

James Williams meanwhile is a 3 betting monster

My word, twice an orbit the three bet comes in, always in position, always about 2.75x the opening raise

Hasn't been tested so far.

He appears to be chip leader with about 9m, including two towers of blues placed meancingly at the front of his stack.

He is helped of course because actionjack to his right is hamstrung by his unfortunate double down and is grinding more than he would be with the chip lead he opened the finalt able with

Jason Herbert, Guy Johnson, Paul Jackson, Paul Coughlan and James Williams have now won the £2,000 UKIPT Golden Chip packages

Well done to all 5, terrific

On a short break.

Jason, as we all know, dotes on his children, Three young sons. It also, as many of us know, hasn't been an easy time for Jason.

Before he left home this morning he handed the boys back to their Mum and the lads put a bag of balloons in his coat pocket and said "you can have those when you win Dad"

I'm stoked for him, genuinely.
