Hi tightly/Nicola.

Can you tell me about the base points eg how much volume to accrue 1 point etc and where they are located in the lobby.

Sorry if this has been answered before.

Club Cash Games have their own tab in the lobby under Dusk Till Dawn

Twister, top left of lobby has its own section. Choose your buy in, number of tables and press Play

One base point = £1 of rake

Twister rakes at c7% so a $10 Twister accrues about 70c a time

Obviously they are quick to play and you can play lots at once

Club cash games, depends on the level you play and how active you are. Higher the level, more the tables, quicker the points, more tokens

You can check your points balance under "My account" top of lobby and once you get a token that will be credited the next day

If you are a cash games member you can see your tokens progress in the members area, and I can get you a password if you need one

Hi Tighty

Has anyone mentioned the payout structure yet?

I completely understand the thinking behind trying to pay the majority of returning players something towards their expenses, but paying 260 put of the 318 that returned diluted the payouts for the players that progressed well on Day 2. I have tried to find the exact figures, but I believe that there was only £75 difference between someone finishing 260 to someone finishing 51st. I personally feel that if you had paid the top 100. it would have made more sense.

I witnessed players entering flight 1 on Friday, re-entering, then playing in flight 2 ( they may even have re-entered that flight. Therefore the spend would have been £240, they would then have had to make the final 3 tables to cover there entry's let alone travelling, hotel, food ( plenty of drink for blonde members)

Your thoughts?

Rob was asked about this yesterday on a long facebook thread

Amongst the comments he made were that

- We paid 260 out of 2600. 50% players have won in for 55p or 5.50, so the min cash is lot to them

In his blog he says that

"the average player had 1.7 attempts, so 1530 unique players took part. It’s important to keep a track on the number of re-entries in relation to the number of flights, because the idea of giving plenty of online and live opportunities is not to boost the prizepool by increasing the average spend per head, but to increase the options for players to get involved. Of course, some Grand Prix fans played as many flights as they could, but in reality, must took a shot with just 1 bullet won through our 55p and £5 online feeder structure, which qualified over 50% of the total entries."

In essence its a grass roots poker event, paying 10% of the field and the min cash is a huge return for a fair proportion of the field emanating from those qualifying for very little

Yes foggy people did have lots of goes but after the 50xseat sats players had bullets ready to use. Think my spend was £170

Mbn getting in for 55p but even if I do then I spend money tryin for more or adding on so this stat is kinda clouded isn't it?
But agree that it's grass roots and there will be a handful who get in for 55p,5.50 or even just the £60 so min cash is ok, if u have lots of goes then min cash is irrelevant and making FT or last two is a goal

Hi Ross, definitely gunning " race to 10 seats" promo. Basically a free seat for UKIPT is too good a chance to miss. I agree that you might spend about £100 quid to get 10 seats ( I am loving the fact that the sats are now F/O and not 1R1A) so the seats are worth £600 + you do get a crack at the UKIPT.
Also the later sats that run at 7 and 9 PM usually generates 2-3 seats per night, so getting a seat should be EASY  ;) ;)

Excuse my ignorance. I haven't played a Grand Prix before or played any golden chip sats. I played last night and won one. What happens to my spare golden chips if I say win 3-4 and I play one of the first day1s and get 400k so therefore don't need to play another flight.

TIA

Use them or lose them...no refunds

Play more day ones to try and improve your stack or don't use them and they expire

It's a personal opinion as to whether it's worth trying to get loads or not

Last Grand Prix I got one chip and made it through but the one before that I had a bag full and busted every day one

this is correct

You do NOT forefeit your stack if you have a second attempt

As the tokens lapse after the Grand Prix, try again and try and beat the first stack you get through with

thanks for signing up and playing by the way

Hi Guys,

The leaderboard is updated here:
http://www.dusktilldawnpoker.com/gold-chip-leaderboard.php

It is updated daily Mon-Fri (occasionally on Saturdays)
This will continue to be the case until it goes down to the wire I believe. At the minute we have 2 players on 6 who are the closest. 4 through 10 are all on 4 or 3 so they can be caught.

Good Luck guys.

2 winners in the 5 o'clock...not sure who the other one was but i did bust mr boobytwaps  Ac Qc with my mighty  Ks 3h to take the win.

I got three now but i'm not going for the 10...just playing them as and when i win a token via the 50p feeders.

You may have already been aware of the token reward scheme set up in order to reward players for playing the Online Club Cash Games.

Under the supervision of Online Club Cash Game Manager Richard 'TightEnd' Prew we are expanding this exciting offer.

Now any player that earns 15 base points playing: Twister Poker, Online Club Cash Games or any tournaments that feature in the Devilfish Room will be eligible for one of Tighty's Tokens worth £5 each.

These can be used to qualify for the upcoming Dusk Till Dawn Grand Prix or our monthly £500 Deepstack.

There is no limit on the amount of tokens that you can win and you can mix 'n' match where you earn your points. So you can grind the Sunday Special, play some cash and have a spin on Twister all in one night to earn free tokens to play our satellites

---

Earn 15 base points playing Twister Poker, OCCG or Devilfish Room tournaments.

For each 15 base points earned players will be credited one of 'Tighty's tokens' the following day.

You can mix 'n' match your game variant and the points score will be cumulative.

Not seen an answer but pretty sure in the past it's been said that online is an addition to the club and therefore they don't like the two to clash and theoretically reduce footfall on the club...could be wrong (but I'm not wrong often  ;popcorn;)

We feel at the £150K GTE level 10 flights in enough, average 300 per flight. When we do larger GTE's we might add extra online flights but this is a decent live / online balance for this event.

Had a dabble myself last night - couldn't believe the players that were slagging each other off in the chat box at the 55p mini sat level - pretty sure some one had put angry pills in the water system

Three different occasions - gonna have another play tonight and see if everyone is friends again - looking for one more chip so I can play all 4 online legs

(And well done set for hitting the ten)

yesterday Setalotx/Hugh went on to win his £1,100 UKIPT seat for winning his 10th Golden Chip

There are still 9 UKIPT seats up for grabs and plenty of time to get involved with 4 Grand Prix SATS every night

hi Will
i am sure you will get to ten plenty of time both you and AERO  have been playing from start and that head start should mean you both will get there
i was never really too concerned whether i was first to 10 or 6th to 10 although wouldn't want to be fighting for one last one with 9 gone and 3 or 4 players needing just 1 lol

ty for all the wd messages

ever in doubt ? yes and no as always most people don't start playing these until last minute
i checked it out yesterday first 1 played was on day it started 11Th of Feb at the start i think lots were playing wit there previous grand prix winning
so was lots of seats up for grabs
first 1 i won was on the 14Th and second 1 too so of to a flyer that was when there was only 3 running a day
think Boobytwaps won 2 in one day too

do not believe any one playing these have a massive skill edge just need a little run good to get going and then a little more to get you over the line
ty to all those who gave good wishes in chat box when i was on 9

gl to all still playing

You lot need to pull your fingers out - not bothered since I hit my forth token then looked today to see 10th position only has 5.

The smurf might just have to throw a few quid at those 55p sats to get you lot worried.   ;nemesis;

Come on - get your ten.

VWP to all recent winners. I'm quite surprised by this surge but it seems there is going to be some stiff competition for the last five or six.

I've emailed all winners the day after they have won and can see you've all posted on here since. If you haven't received said email can you please let me know.

The way that this iPoker is failing at the moment, this satellite has zero playability. Some people have been logged in since 7pm and played four hands

can't log back in so assume my stack has been blinded off.

Really annoyed about this, as could really do with winning one tonight as I chase the 10 for UKIPT. Not good timing

the whole of IPoker has problems, multiple reports of people having problems

that doesn't help i know but Nicola and DTD will keep us in touch and then look how things can be rectified afterwards

i do hope 10x random toeksn dont get dished out for the few if any who havent been kicked out. like a handful of other players im chasing for £1100 and dont really want luckboxes coming from behind and stealing. this should be all refunded or all get golden chip who played simple? only way to be fair to all players.
i know its ipoker but im still holding dtd responsible, this is happeneing alot luckily ive not been played when this has happened but this is defo worst time smack on 7pm???? weird

Hi guys. Id literally just got in from the office and starting chatting on the tables when everything went. It looks like everything got cancelled/interrupted. If the Grand Prix Ten seated played out (which Im 99% certain it didn't) we will reach a fair solution regarding the race to ten. Sorry again. Glenn

Can confirm tournament was officially interrupted meaning no results were generated. This means the Race to Ten Leaderboard is unaffected.
We're just awaiting the iPoker report regarding refunds.

There is something in place in the event this happens. Don't worry it won't be a random draw and we won't be flipping for 1K seats.

Is it because Saturday most players will be at the club?

Which happens to be a very selfish and immature view. Of course people are jumping on and trying to win.its a good promotion and many players often join in some time after the start and put volume in.

i only need 3 chips but only really 4 spots left with shelly bagged.

Mate if I were you I'd keep focussed on getting seats no matter what the format. DTD can do what they like with this promotion cos it's added value. Any time/energy you're spending on here moaning is taken away from your race to 10.

Best of luck

No beef Ross but I don't understand what you're getting so annoyed about?

its fine bedi i enjoy mixing things up and most of all moaning, maybe connections with ipoker has left me tilted aswell. i thought 10 seats gtd tonight?, i have to play in my spot, so i stay in to play.
the 10x seats is giving more people a chance to win?( now i know its selfish but only natural) so the players who were on 3-4-5 and looking to maybe give up because they didnt put time in or ran bad have now got the chance to catch and have much better chance than playng sat with only 1-2 chips able to win. these sats can be won by anyone including myself obviously just abit sick watching donks bag chips and now our right behind me

i guess my point is
There seems to be no set satellites gtd on any night past the one shown on ipoker? anything can happen so im freeing up all my nights to play.
and also changing to 1seat gtd to 10xseats just seems extreme.

i dont wana get in trouble so i'll say no more but just think its all abit random.
can we expect 20x gtd next week though seriously im in.

ty bud, i know i need to focus more and quit trolling blonde ;) im joking btw i just moan like a trooper and like to rant everynow and then rich puts me in my place lol

congrats to shelly who just bagged her 10th :)

Thank you!! And good luck :)

if there wasnt the race on i woudnt have a issue at all, it prob shouldnt matter, maybe they should do 50x seats gtd monday? im not expecting people to understand its just my view

No beef Ross but I don't understand what you're getting so annoyed about?

its fine bedi i enjoy mixing things up and most of all moaning, maybe connections with ipoker has left me tilted aswell. i thought 10 seats gtd tonight?, i have to play in my spot, so i stay in to play.
the 10x seats is giving more people a chance to win?( now i know its selfish but only natural) so the players who were on 3-4-5 and looking to maybe give up because they didnt put time in or ran bad have now got the chance to catch and have much better chance than playng sat with only 1-2 chips able to win. these sats can be won by anyone including myself obviously just abit sick watching donks bag chips and now our right behind me

i guess my point is
There seems to be no set satellites gtd on any night past the one shown on ipoker? anything can happen so im freeing up all my nights to play.
and also changing to 1seat gtd to 10xseats just seems extreme.

i dont wana get in trouble so i'll say no more but just think its all abit random.
can we expect 20x gtd next week though seriously im in.

with 10 seats guaranteed - you got a better chance to reach your goal surely!!?? or am i missing something.

MORE SEATS GTD EACH NIGHT

tonights 7 pm says 5 seats gtd ?

i know. wtf is going on? ive been supporting this idea pretty much from the word go but with messing around with sats and site crashing im unhappy, but who cares right!? why is sat night 5x gtd yet other nights were 10 seats.? loads of players have jump on the wagon and now in the running? i know it sounds selfish but seriosuly wrong in my view

Is it because Saturday most players will be at the club?

Seems pretty standard that Dusk have/had lower gtees online sats Thurs-Saturday?

i do not think DTD intended them to  switch to 5 seats was 10 on friday
currently on line ads  in lobby still saying 10 seats at 7 pm however tonight's game is currently set up as 5 seats gtd
think its a game set up cock up rather than a conspiracy to annoy yeahman

Nicola has just confirmed to me

"Changed the 10 seats at 7 to 5 seats at 7 & 9 so same amount of seats just split."

Sorry for the confusion

somehow, I still dispise the fact that all the sats are now ul rebuys. Just to be in the race, it makes you throw atleast £25-£30 every satellite. Can there be atleast 1 freezeout sat at 5 for early birds like myself??

Are you playing the direct sats in to it aswell...I am going to start trying this week, once you get a £55 token it's two 1 in 5 games.

Surely another 'way in' ?

You'll probably get your ten then make day two with your first bullet then have to play all the other 9 anyway  :)up

At c£25 per sat there is very little value in the Golden Chip unless you can also add the promotion prize to it. Good luck Ross and Vinodh.

I am a long term supporter of the Grands Prix but have to say that this promotion hasn't suited me. I don't have the time to play 2 or 3 satellites a night on multiple nights, let alone the cash, and the 'Race to Ten' seems designed to appeal to a player pool that isn't the original target market for these events.
All the stuff with multiple entries seems to me be driven solely by a desire to maximise the traffic in satellites without any of the money that is driven into them being removed from the target tournament. Allowing multiple entries to players regardless of their results in the early Day1s is obviously good for DTD (as opposed to paying out unused satellite wins in cash as used to be the case) but it skews the play in the later Day1s, especially since most people won't be aware of who is playing with the safety net of already having made Day2. It's preferable to the merge stacks option, but not by much.

Thks David,
Spoke to vin last night and if We want to stay in with a chance we have to play every one, I wish I hadn't of started. Be nice to get te seat then I'll post up games played and cost. Thing it'll scare the life out of me. I want to support Dtd because it's a epic place to learn and play poker but ur right with some points. I've been called Uzi Patman by Somerville so I can't say I don't enjoy it. However it has changed and seems to each time

As you say its horses for courses...i am with you that i didn't see any value in accruing vast amounts of chips just to get a seat in another tourny unless they were easy to get...which they are not.
My total spend was just under £100 with the 55p sats and using up my points to get the four chips and i was well happy with that.
These guys are so close it's a case of 'no turning back'...i think the total spend will be a shock to them.

God knows what yeahman will do if he misses out or gets the 10 tokens and doesn't make day 2  ;hide; (only kidding Ross)

Was only playing to pass the time and I enjoy it tbh!  Also rather than railing 1mbue, I'd rather play.  I've given up now tho with 1mbue in the race, not gonna play any more, cos the last thing I need to be is on a FT with her for her seat.  If I busted her on the bubble, she'd bust me up bad n probably wouldn't talk 2 me for a month, so I'm not gonna put myself in that situation! ha

Congrats to all the dtd sat reg's who have got the 1k seat as a bonus.  I give up with this promo very early i thought it would involve a huge commitment to the cause day after day and i didn't see the point of having 10 GP seats if you bink a massive stack in the 1st or 2nd gp day 1 you play.

The race seems to be between 7 players with only 4 spots left. Hope I get some run good this week else it's game over. £25 per sat ain't cheap

I'm being curious nosy. Feel free to not respond.

We'll done Ross, about time  ;) ;applause;

How many have 10 now?

Good luck to all those still going for it?

8 people have now 10 Dan!!

Thx vin, are people that are now still on like 3/4 stopped playing? Really hope this continues to get traffic as it is a great promotion by DTD. It got me back on the site and tbh I will continue to play on there. Like Ross said there has been some good banter and support on there from the guys that regularly played in these sats.

Have to agree that anyone with 10 chips would have spent more than £200... I would say easily £400-£1000

Just a thought ... Those with 10 if you make day two early in the week via online and have a tasty stack that realistically will be hard to beat will you be arsed to travel and play all the live legs aswell??? Or was the reason for the 10 purely to get the UKIPT seat???

I have spent around £500 for sure! definitely the reason for getting 10 is the UKIPT seat for me.. I would still go the live legs but not sure how many! depends upon how the stack is relative to the largest one. Haven't even looked at the structure properly yet lol

I had a net spend of around £275. My total spend was around £345 but also won a bit of cash when finishing a place or two outside the golden chips.

My feelings changed about getting the 10. When I started there was already a couple of players on 4 and 3 so didn't know if it would be realistically possible so I started off playing it as Grand Prix sats but I won 2 very quickly. The third and 4th didn't seem to take too much longer and all of a sudden I was well in the top 10 on the leaderboard. Once you get to 6/7 you can't stop so it is literally all about the ukipt seat.

If I get a good stack early on I will probably still play a few live legs as I will probably stay over on the sunday night to play the Monday so will play at least the 2 sunday legs but don't know about the Friday or Saturday. I guess it depends on if I have any re entries online.

you did very well Dan, i think i may be the winner of 'spend the most' aka be the worst haha. although Martyn must of put alot into this too.

ive had a look at my account and ive tried my best to pick out bits and get it right for ya david!
ive deposited 750.00 for this over a period of time, i had a few punts at other sats though so have had to take those tourney buyins out.

ive played around 110 satellites maybe more!lol. ive had some place cash i.e £7.5/£10/£20.
went on a run when sats were only 1seat gtd where i didnt win a seat for around 28 attempts
it seemed to come to around 650.00 but think i should say £700.00 to play it safe

im still happy with outcome, although would of been nice to get in for abit less spendo

@smurf im guna try play as many day1s as poss, im not too far from dtd so will play the live sats.

The promo has been very effective it seems. Hope one of you gets the lot in the UKIPT, and gets some of it in the GP (assuming I can negotiate the chance to play over Easter Week/Weekend)

I guess a spend of £700 for the combined value of the seats, plus the chance to FT and also pick up the Golden Chip Bonus is fair enough if you have the chance to play all the Day1s. Dan's spend is better though!

my spend was £295  i was fortunate to run good early on and didnt have to get involved in the unlimited re buys

my best  guess is that Boobytwaps or shelly will have lowest expenditure  based on number of games i saw them in

for me the attraction was always the ukip seat

i think there is no possibility of me using all 10 depends how i run in the on line ones
i didn't manage to use all my chips last time as didn't end up taking all possible re entry's

I think total spend for me was less than £100, most of my chips being won before the unlimited rebuys started! That and the fact the earlier freezes often had cash payouts for the bubble :)

The initial attraction was the golden chips for £5!! But after I'd got 4 relatively quickly the focus became the race to ten! So exciting

Can't believe it's the last spot! Good luck

Depends on your goals - four online legs means four for me, that's not to say I won't play any more but that would be on the actual week of the tourney if I busted all four and fancied a live day of play..pretty sure there will be some mega sats that week even if all the golden chips are long gone but I think the end of the race to ten will deffo see a drop in players

as the guys say, still 200 or so Golden Cips to win and lots of day ones to play to get the bigggest stack for the final weekend...

Do you think the chip leader will come from the Saturday or Sunday day 1s. The reason I say this is because it appears there alot of people with numerous day 1s.

This means they only take their largest stack through so if for example they get through with 200,000 (totally made up number) and have more day 1 tokens to get rid of they will be looking to gamble and again for example throwing in 150,000 at the end of the levels with nothing. Could be alot of big flipping towards the end

Smon is in the process of nailing down the schedule for the upcoming Grand Prix

WIll be pretty busy with Day 1's on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, but we also have a lot of travelling players for our Grand Prix's -

so does anyone have any preferences for a side event on the Bank Holiday Monday.

Last GP we did a Super 50 + 2 RL £20,000 GTD?

Hi, just a couple of questions as I haven't played a Grand Prix before. For the live legs do I still need to register online? If I need to re enter a live leg with one of seats how do I do it at the club?? Also for a live leg if I'm late regging do I still need to do it online before it starts or just reg when I get to the club?

Thx

Yes register online for live legs

this can be done at the club on the day if necessary, but much preferable to do it beforehand so as to avoid queues

if you re-enter a live leg then one of the team will help you do it at the club, if you have tokens unspent

late regging, on arrival.

We are playing 8 hours + breaks for Day 1's.

Day 2 is planned for a 9pm - 10pm start for the final and 1am -2am finish, but it very much depends on how the players play / who is deep and the chip stacks.

each day one is 8 hours plus breaks

my understanding is that in the last level of the early flight gets you to the end late reg period of the second flight, not quite the end of the day but you are able to make a "stack decision" in the last level of the first flight

(simon can correct me if this is wrong, but thats my working it out)

Hi Mumblesrock

Which Grand Prix online comp is this, the maximum we do is 1 hour for late reg and RB for the Grand Prix £5 satellites, and the £60 Online Day 1's are 6 levels of 12 minutes for late reg and don't have a RB option?

I played the 500 mega sat last week with 2 hours late reg/rebuy time, knocked out 24th after 40 mins of everyone understandably slow playing and it was 12:45am so I don't know what time it finished - completely screwed me up at work for two days lol having to get up at 6am the next day...it's probably the blind level times more than the late reg that I thought was a bit long.

Planning on waiting till Friday nights now so I don't have to be up early the next day  ;tk;

thanks simon,  Its the online qualifiers for the golden chips. 11 levels at 10 mins each.  just think 2 hrs is a bit to long for rebuys especially in the 9pm start. just an observation.

Hi

Where do you get this information from please?

I have just checked tonight with Nicola, £100 UKIPT took 2 hours 54 minutes and £25 DTD 250 took 3 hours 13 minutes?

Have asked her to check back previous ones and this is about the average duration time for these satellites give or take 10 mins either way?

Are we talking about the same satellites? Either way, the general rule of thumb is 2.5 min clock 45 mins, 5 min clock 90 mins, 10 min clock 180 mins, and so on and so on.

Cheers Simon

Hi

It was a £500 sat I played a week or two ago with two hours late reg, I busted with 4 to go out and the game had started at 9pm and it was 12:45ish so I assumed they were all lasting similar times - if it's three hours average I must have been unlucky in playing a marathon one...3 hours is ok.

I make it 31 left :)

In the likely event that we have stray chips which we will have Monday we will honour all chips in that sat as Golden.

Its being looked at. The first batch (now cancelled) were set up incorrectly and we need players in those to unreg. We have contacted them. We are then awaiting confirmation that tokens can work on the replacements.

the leaderboard has yet to be updated for the weekend, so i am not sure there are any left

Glenn said last week that if some remain, golden chips would be available for all 50 in the last satellite.

"In the likely event that we have stray chips which we will have Monday we will honour all chips in that sat as Golden."

Hi guys,

looks like we should be good to go :)

If you are one of the three players in the cancelled one can you please unreg. Regarding SATS, I have 31 Golden Chips left meaning all prizes in the first 50 seater tonight will be Golden Chips.

Hope this helps.

Glenn

you will still have it unless you register with it - if you join before you win your GC then you are not playing the GC

So no point in me playing day1a then

well the GC sat finished shortly after day 1a started so would have been easy to late reg if you qualified.
There are no GC left now after the 7pm sat

you dont have to have a GC to play the grand prix though

Excuse me if this has been answered before. I have played in the Grand Prix several times, but never as a Golden Chip winner. Always bought in direct. I have this time won a GC. Registered for the tournament for Friday live.

Do I physically receive a Golden Chip when I turn upto the club.

Yes, there will be a supply of them on the registration desk. Normally the GC's have to displayed on the table for day two play

Hi guys,

Well done to those that got through. Just to clarify (GC) is the token code for our reference and is in no way related to the Golden Chips. The 50 last night in the 7pm were the last ones. The process of working put who has one is a manual thing that has to take re entries and entry methods into account and I/Nic will be doing these on a regular basis throughout the week.

Hi Guys

Here are the chip counts from last night's ONLINE Day 1 :)

We had 184 entries with a starting stack of 50,000 chips therefore there were 9.2Million chips in play - we also played 16 levels which is 2 more levels than we did in the last Grand Prix so a big difference seen in Day 2 stacks.

If we hit the 3,000 entries (which of course we will Rob)....then there will be 150Million Chips in play and blinds restart at 6,000 - 12,000 which an ante of 2000 so we expect to see some impressive stacks going in to Day 2 due to all of the above.

REMEMBER it's take your Highest Stack through so if you have more Tokens or wish to try again you WILL NOT forfeit this stack.

We have Penny Rolls starting again at 5pm today and another 100 seats GTD tonight....please support these sats as Rob left me in charge of the Mega Sats so it's all on my head ;) No pressure guys!

Well played to all Blondes - I know there are quite a few amongst these stacks and we're happy for you to claim your stack :)

Lol at epileptic cat. Came to my table with 20k which was about 1/6th average. Open limped first hand and won it, won a flip, then another one, then got lucky, then won some more then some more then lost a bit and then went on a tear, tilted two big stacks on the table who both made bad calls and then he stacked them. And then he had 1.3m. WAL. Love it!

Also I've not seen Vinod play yet with his 10 chips - hope he's ok.

Good luck everyone in the remaining day ones.

Yeah I was getting a bit of chat box abuse - I had 500k and was happy to take that to day 2...2 others had about 250k and were trying to double up, pretty much every raise was met with an all in so I just played the last level using the 15 second time bank and folding . Don't see I did anything wrong, not sure why I am expected to insta fold just so they can accrue more blinds and antes - then they both got called all in and got knocked out.
Poor etiquette on their part trying to blame me - I simply pointed out they had 3.5 hours of play before the last level and wished them all luck...water off a ducks back mate.

Rich/Glenn , 7pm and 9pm £5 mega sats showing up as £11.  Is this a mistake or have they changed?

Will be interesting to see what the £11 buy in does to numbers. I can actually see the overlays being bigger as not so many will take the rebuy or addon.

I was playing the £5 comp as a 1r1a for £15.50 total but at £31 it just won't be worth it for me and I might as well buy in direct.

I can see most of the entrants being the penny roll players who've already got in from a hugely overlaid comp and they won't want to spend £10 on a rebuy particularly towards the latter levels. With the structure as it is they'll struggle to reach the triple addon so I can see a lot just having the one 1p bullet.

I hope I'm wrong but I can see these overlaying by more than the £5 comps.

I agree with your analysis.  also i was thinking what happens to players who might have a £5 token sitting in their account?
it will be interesting to see if the new 11 quid qualifiers get the numbers.

that's exactly what happened to me tonight, penny roll into £11 sat and was a fight to make the add on, did manage it though but was hard work to make it a good value proposition

worth it in end though   :)

Just a thought... How many chips stacks that have gone through are duplicates from prople who are already through. This is obviously going to take chips out of play and reduce numbers for day 2. Prob in the money for day 2 you think?

there are some duplicates in the stacks quoted yes. haven't worked out how many yet

whether day 2 would be in the money or not was debated last time, that Grand Prix being the first under the "try as many times as you want without forfeiting" arrangement and it ended up being about 10-15% of day 2 returnees who did not cash as far as I recall

Grand Prix players, I am at the Irish Open nursing a low stack but am keeping in touch with the cardroom - Good luck to all Dusk Till Dawn Grand Prix players this weekend. Had a few PM's from players with multiple tokens who are playing Flight 1's and are worried about not being able to use all their tokens - DON'T WORRY, I told the card room before I left to be flexible on Late Reg for Flight 1 players and keep Late Reg open on Flight 2 until Flight 1 finishes, around 9.45pm. Cheers ACES http://www.dusktilldawncasinonottingham.com/news/grand-prix-11/2405

P.S. Just been all-in with AK, back up to 25K, getting too old for this..............

According to earlier posts on this thread somebody had 1,400,000 chips with 2 levels to go yesterday but bagged up substantially less. You could play today and follow his lead but avoid the big drop by leaving early...

could be a huge overlay (ouch)...i suppose if players have made day 2 and with it being a bank holiday weekend they are choosing not to fire more bullets at it to beat their stack.

i have been speaking to a few players who won multiple seats and many have had just one days grace by their partners, so forefiting some their seats to keep them indoors happy! might be similar tomorw as its easter sunday??
the overlay will prob look a bit worse than it actually is, if that is the case.
good luck all blonds who are still grinding!

Title: GRAND PRIX GUILT TRIP
Post by: robyong on April 20, 2014, 03:06:02 AM
GRAND PRIX GUILT TRIP

To hit the magic 3000 target, we need 1040 runners for the final day 1 of the Grand Prix this Sunday, a valiant effort by all of the DTD staff bearing in mind we increased the target from 2000 to 3000 this time round. Whilst I feel confident there is more chance of arriving at DTD tomorrow and seeing 10 pink elephants in stockings and suspenders flying above the car park singing Wonderwall than achieving the 3000 target, I would like to officially ask for a “bit of help” here from the DTD regulars/any players than know me - there are times when I need your support and this is one of them #yesthisisaguilttrip

The final number in the 12pm flight was 409

145 are left in Level 11 of 16 today

Julian Lefevre the chip leader with 350,000

--

In the 5pm flight there are 215 in in level 2. I thought it would be much busier than that

totting up the entries are at 2584 needing 3000 to hit £150,000

l guess we might end up £10-15k short, though the next few hours will be interesting to see

registration open til 10.15pm

438 entries the final number for the last flight

this makes 2807 total, 193 short of the GTE or £9650

Over 200 more runners than the last grand prix

302 are so far and another 50-60 to come from this flight

Day 2 is at midday tomorrow, and maybe midday the day after ;-)

Robert Yong

"Missed the 3000 Grand Prix target by 147, ended on 2853, with over 700 players coming through the club's doors today.

Thanks for all the support from players and staff, these GP's are quite expensive with all the pennyrolls, 10 seats chip races, and then there is Golden Chips themselves, each Grand Prix costs us over £60,000 in staff costs and promotions so it's important we get as close to the target number as possible, of course, we don't need to target numbers in the 000's but that what the GP is about.

thanks for turning out. Cheers rob"
