Title: Thoughts on this training
Post by: jjandellis on May 01, 2014, 08:31:44 PM
Been getting some e-mails from Nick Wealthalls new school/training and this seems to be the hard sell e-mail at the end:

http://transformmypoker.com/tccl1/non-cus-tcc/?inf_contact_key=dfcf71a4c0362e4761ff0c896e74409b39944539db5d7fc373cb03f5088ed8c9 (http://transformmypoker.com/tccl1/non-cus-tcc/?inf_contact_key=dfcf71a4c0362e4761ff0c896e74409b39944539db5d7fc373cb03f5088ed8c9)

Effectively pricing it at $1697 and selling for $297.

Obviously I'm dubious at something being marked up so high and sold low...and the style of the sell video (constant repeat of 'great' offers etc)

Any thoughts on this?

Any experience of Nick as a coach?

Initial thoughts:-
-Video equivalent of tl;dr
- sales with humour
- he sure prepared well for that pitch

Agree with those initial thoughts. Watched 7mins, skipped to end. Additional thoughts.

- Ppt just lists some stuff that sound good. Eg 'we'll teach you to over bet like a hero' -- target market obv supposed to think 'oh wow, I heard $insert_pro does that so good. Maybe I can learn too!' Obviously the game isn't as prescriptive as that.

- claims to 'master' pre flop in module 1 and post flop in module 2. Which does make me wonder why 3 and 4 exist.

- all round tiltingness

- for $300 you'd be better hiring an actual coach, not some video series of questionable quality.
