Forgot how much I loved this show. This is the first time I have seen this weekly after having binge watched the previous ones as boxsets.

Good to see Chris from the Wire, Stephen Fry and Mommy Stark all get gigs.

One thing I can't work out, all the ads have been saying it starts tonight on Sky One, but when I woke up this morning both episodes were already waiting for me on my Virgin Media Tivo thingy.

I think it's because it's on during the night simulatenously to when it's on in the US but official Premiere date is the night after since most people aren't still up. They're doing the same with GOT.

They showed the 1st 2 episodes at the same time in the UK as the US, so were "live" at 01:00 yesterday morning, but sky are showing it every Wednesday night.  They did the same with GoT when that started a few weeks back.

When I first watched 24 I thought it was the bees knees but I must admit it felt like we'd been here before and a little formulaic

Think it looks great!  Also enjoying the hilarious portrayal of English politicians.  Bunch of babies! :D

Thought the portrayal was quite fair tbh, should give BBC Parliament a bash.  Would have been better if filmed in correct building though. 

if it was actually in parliament i'm pretty sure you aren't allowed to be filmed (in the house itself) without being an MP....

So there I am, watching the very tense scene where Kate is getting tortured when a piece of information my brain had been frantically searching for finally made itself known and I had to shout it out, even though I was watching it on my own.

Love 24 still, not surprised there's another mole, there's always a mole.  At least it gives Jack a side project.

I think we also had at least one, if not two 'We're running out of time'.

Pretty vintage 24 this week - after the stinker of a first episode it's really got into it's stride. Catelyn Stark playing whack-a-mole with missiles (Game of Drones) was hella tense.

The 'cleaner' that shot the programmer guy was the worst assassin ever - 'Yeah, totally going to shoot that guy in his right shoulder then just assume he must have died'

Rewatching season 1 at the same time as this season. Pretty funny stuff. Formulaicness on a par with house. Doesnt stop it being great fun. Loved seeing my old bridge (kentish town) in this last episode. They were always gonna get camden in for the tourists.

If 24 episodes had titles I think this one would be called 'The Groundsman's Nightmare'

President Heller would be so pissed off that he didn't get a silent clock.

A little 24 fact I just discovered that astounded me - Chloe didn't appear in 24 until hour 5 of season 3!!!!

That's because he isn't dead. Chloe hacked the feed for the camera on the drones to keep the image of Heller on there (like in Speed), then Jack rushed out and got him off the pitch.

I started typing that as a joke, but by the end of it, I believe it.

Head CIA guy planted evidence against Blonde Kate's husband to suggest he sold secrets to the Chinese. The analyst guy started noticing something was up in the database and was probably close to discovering it, so CIA guy ordered him dead.

He is one of the new programmer in the CIA station, who has crush on Kate. But he was digging into Kate's ex- husband's death, in which the CIA station chief Navarro and Adrian Gross ( head of the hackers group) had a hand and Navvaro orders the "Cleaner" to kill this poor kid

Actually, they threw Chloe out because it was Happy Hour.

I can handle every other thing on 24 but that one really bothers me for some strange reason.

Really enjoyed freeze-framing the zoom in on dalston to find out where exactly it was, not far from me and a pub i go to semi-regularly :)

Super-gravelly voice guy clearly going to persuade Chloe to do some nefarious hacking on the override thingy then try to do a deal to trade it to the Chinese/Russians so they can go God-mode on all the US military toys.

Also, Jack really isn't a fan of letting people stand trial for things is he - it's lucky for Andy Coulson that Jack wasn't in charge of the phone-hacking thing otherwise he might have got thrown out of a 5th floor window.

Chloe to be revealed as an antagonist to Jack, she will come down on the side of the Edward snowden baddy, Jack will end up killing her.

Argh- hope not!

Nah, Chloe will be conflicted, but she'll come good.

Jack needs a slap though for chatting to Audrey on the phone when he should have been protecting a device that will give the baddies (or goodies depending on your outlook) control over the US's satellites, nukes and whatever else.

Was a bit surprised when Jack threw Margot out of the window, although everyone in the US & British secret services seems fairly relaxed about it all really.  Imagine if he'd bitten her on the shoulder though!!  There'd be outrage ;)

"Yo, Jack - I know you just prevented half of London being blown up today but NO TIME TO FUCKING CHILL you've got to now stop World War 3 starting whilst the Russians go all shooty on you".

Felt it was a solid final episode. Its been an average season but the last few episodes were very good. Obviously are going to go for another season, I presume they will finally bring Kim back into it at some point.

Remarkable how quickly everyone gets around London in the 24 universe.
