Totally deserved. Its ridiculous there has only ever been one WPT Main Event in the UK so far, and it would have been a travesty to have the next one anywhere but DTD.

"NEW WEEKLY EVENING COMPS: DTD regular club players, following feedback over the last couple of months, from next Monday we will be launching a new evening tourney schedule for the Summer season (attached). The main points are:

1. All tournaments will now use our Deepstack structure
2. We have brought back the Super £50 and £15 comps Monday to Thursday, we hope the re-introduction of the £15 comps will generate more new poker players
3. On Thursdays we will supersize the Super £50 comp to a £10K GTE Giant
4. We have a new weekly 2 day comp called WPT 125, £30K GTE including 10 WPT 500 seats, £125 buy-in. We want to qualify as many of our regular club players for the £1M GTD WPT 500 later in the year, and hope to build this comp towards a £50K GTE over the coming months, we need to be a little careful over summer/wsop/world cup, so we have started at £30K. "

- Players who cannot make the WPT 500 £1M in November can use their seat credit for any DTD events of £250 and above

Has there a date within the festival been announced for WPT500 yet? There are several other festivals around that time - Amsterdam, Blackpool, Paris - and just taking a quick look where I might spend the autumn (poker player getting organised shocker). Seems like a great job to satty players into the main events and it is still months away, great work so far!

"In addition to the £1m guaranteed, £3,000 buy-in WPT Nottingham Main Event, DTD will also be hosting a £500 buy-in WPT National tournament, complete with another seven-figure prize pool. 50 seats into the WPT Nottingham Main Event will also be awarded in the WPT National.

Rounding out the tournament line up are a WPT Warm Up, a WPT High Roller, WPT six-max and WPT PLO events, full details of which will be confirmed once the WSOP is in the book.

Can confirm the Online Day 1 failed to meet minimum runners and didn't run. All software issues should now be resolved. If playing tonight/tomorrow and you have a token please register it into the lobby before arrival. Your chips WONT go into play till you get here.

We are 92 players short at moment so looking like a £7500-10,000 caused apologies by the online problems this week - really painful for everyone but they were completely and utterly out DTD's control. We will be working all morning to deal with as many players problems as possible. Absolutely love this online day 1 on the same day as day 2.

Unfortunately I can't play this week but will definitely give it a go some time soon.

I enjoy playing the sats for these but the biggest problem I've had is always finding an opportunity to play day 1 either Thursday online or Friday/Saturday.

Hopefully this new idea will prove successful and be warmly welcomed so that DTD can continue to provide it.

Only obvious concern is the anticipated finish time of the live day 2 tonight. Will be interesting to see what happens.

I'm trying to download the DtD ipoker skin to my computer, since I recently had to reset the darn thing. However, I'm getting an error message telling me that I can't connect to the master download server. I know the problem isn't my internet connection, and the message suggests the master download server may be busy. Is there any way to fix this?

Feel like I've slept for 2 years since getting back from Vegas! Just a heads up, I will be launching a new comp on 28th July called "WPT 50" for our Monday to Thursday players. This is a 'mini' version of our weekend event, the WPT125. Here a a few details;

Mon - Thu Day 1's 8 pm starts - play 14 levels x 20 mins using our £250 Deepstack structure & finish at 1pm to suit players who need to get to work in morning

Friday Day 2 8pm 30 min clock and play to finish

£50 + £5 reg fee
£12,500 GTD (inc 5 x WPT500 seats)
1st place GTD £3000+£500 seat
50,000 chips
Same re-entry rules as Grand Prix, where players can take their highest stack through if they wish to play another day 1 i.e. they do not forfeit their stack

We will be running daily online sats for the WPT 50 starting at 1p for players that want to keep the cost down of playing this event regularly, for the moment, there will be no online day 1 option as this event is really focused on our local mid week Mon-Thu players.

We will be running XXL's alongside this & a full schedule will be released next week. This is a new concept for weekdays - it may not work, but I want to give players the option of playing a superior structure during the week, finishing at a reasonable time each evening and playing for a bigger prizepool. I would also like to see as many of our locals getting the chance to play the £1m WPT 500 in November.

As there is a token race will we be allowed to add them up to enter tourneys...for example I won two £125 ones last month but was told I couldn't use them to enter the £250 but I could break them down if I won a £1000 one...I am thinking along the lines of the £500 WPT if I got four 😳

Why did the 3k sat go from being 3 seats guaranteed to 2 seats guaranteed today?

Because the last 2 weeks have been 3 seats GTD for the Sky £3k high roller (with the option to use for WPT in November if players cannot make the £3K Sky High Roller). For WPT only we are starting with 2 seats per week and hopefully building this higher as we get nearer the event, as usual.

Hi guys, catching up with me messages after sky, in response to numerous questions from eager poker players who like to plan there year ahead - provisional major events at Dtd Cardroom over the next 12 months are:

1. Sept 2014 - GPS

"IMPORTANT CHANGES FOR DTD REGULARS, next week, as well as doubling the WPT 125 GTE to £50,000, I have reviewed the weekly regular club schedule/assessed feedback and made some tweaks;

1. Afternoon 3pm Day 1 added for WPT 125 for those players that don't want a late finish and Day 2 moved to 6pm start on Sunday and Day 1 Turbo moved to 2.30pm.

2. Sunday to Thursday XXL 15's changed to 15 / 20 min clock (20 mins in final) so that players can get to work in the morning with a decent night's sleep - estimated finish time is 1.30am. XXL Fri/Sat Giants remain and 20/30 min clock.

3. Afternoon XXL 15's added at 3pm Saturday and 2.30pm Sunday for players that want to have an afternoon game (will review increasing the GTE's depending on attendance)

4. WPT Main Event Satellite added on Sunday's at 8pm (will experiment with this time). 3 x £3000 Seats GTD. We need 10 runners to start this satellite! I am hoping with 200+ players in building for the 2.30pm WPT 125 Turbo / Day 2 we will have enough liquidity to run this as players bust out"

Party would be nut worst way to go.  Just buy in at the desk or DTD shop on card.

The max payout in cash is £10k I think, although yeah they probably have some pretty hefty sums on site to cover every cash chip in play.  Sinclair is enough of a deterrent tho!

The marquee's are going up as we speak. We anticipate the last Day 1's of each event will be the busiest as expected but still think we'll be able to seat everyone comfortably.

If you buy in through the shop and or the client you will be in from the start. You can however buy in via the shop and give the cash desk a ring during opening hours and ask them to hold the entry till you arrive.

Surely giving away information about the last longers makes it unfair?

I was at the desk today and I could see the list of players in the LL and that some of them had busted so i was at an advantage. Similarly if you know that loads of ppl in the LL have made it through with huge stacks you might fade entering.

Firstly for anyone concerned about capacity please rest assured we have 75 tables set up and have plenty of staff for what should be a record day for DTD.

- A52 and approach roads: These can get very busy especially Friday PM, please view the image below which has suggested alternate routes that may be quicker.

- Parking: If the DTD car park fills up you are more than welcome to use the Showcase Cinema's car park opposite the club.

Anyone coming up the M1 from the south I would suggest getting off the M1 at the exit immediately after Leicester forest service station, then follow the A46 up to Nottingham and follow signs or ideally your sat nav in from there. I use this route several times a week, it's miles better at peak times.

I played day one yesterday and it was my first time at DTD, gotta say what a brilliant experience from start to finish. Great welcome, smooth registration and buy in and a fantastically well run tournament, very slick operation. Will certainly be making the journey on a more regular basis from Stevenage (apart from the fact that I made day two!) well done to all involved.

Fantastic, I visited DTD on Friday and was totally impressed with the set up. So pleased they exceeded the guarantee as they really are the forerunner in poker throughout Europe and deserve every every success.. Congrats Rob. Simon and all the DTD Team. Long may it continue.

Is Dusk til Dawn's absurd position of refusing to allow deals happening in this?

Loved the turbo day 1 on day 2 idea, what a genius way to keep people in town/get more buy-ins/boost the prize pool/appease the folks who cant be arsed to do a full day 1.

not a fan of the word "absurd" in this context. you may disagree with it but the logic has been explained often and it works well for the DTD events

has been one of the best recent innovations IMO. works well for players and venue

Just come back from a few days at the WPT festival at DTD - first visit for quite a while living 350+ miles away :(

No cash for me but played in the record breaking field on Friday -  the place was absolutely buzzing such a credit to everyone involved.With so many different poker nationalities present at the club it actually made me feel proud to be British - best poker club in the world for me…  the whole DTD team should take a bow!

The £1 Million GTD WPT Main Event kicks off tomorrow

Nick Finn, Danny Lamb and Hasmukh Khodiyara won their seats as part of a Golden Chip Package. They won their £60 Grand Prix token and final tabled to earn their £3000 seat.

You can join them along with our Online and Live Sat qualifiers with SATS at DTD Online (10 seats GTD) and at the Club (5 seats GTD) tonight
