Title: Outer Hebrides Trip Post by: Woodsey on June 25, 2014, 02:12:23 AM Thinking of going in a couple of months for a change of scene, anyone got any idea what a reasonable timescale is to go from Barra to Stornoway seeing the main sights en-route? I'm not one to linger in one place doing huge treks and stuff every day, but driving around seeing the landscape at a relaxed pace and walking 1-3 hours each day would be the ideal.
Probably going to camp, so any recs on good camp sites would be good too. Ferries seem pretty easy to sort from a bit or research so far. TY in advance. I'd strongly recommend a stop over beside Loch Ness on the way back. ;-) Title: Re: Outer Hebrides Trip Post by: Woodsey on July 05, 2014, 12:46:51 PM Cheers lads, I'm off work early August so I think I will literally see what the weather is doing a couple of days before and go there if it looks ok, it will be a bit miserable camping up there if the weather is crap. Otherwise a I can go somewhere where the weather looks ok.
