Title: APAT UK Team Championship Post by: pokerfan on July 11, 2014, 12:45:23 PM I have submitted a request to get Blonde a team in this years team championship.
Copied over, It is again with much pleasure and excitement that we invite team entries for the APAT UK Team Championship to be played at the Grosvenor G Casino, Manchester (Bury New Road) over 2 days Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November 2014. A maximum of 30 teams of 8 players each will compete for both a team and an individual prize pool in the Team Championship, which will be run as an MTT. Entry is £400+£40 per team, with the total buyins paid out on a 50/50 basis to the top 3 teams and the top 18 players from the MTT. The top 100 players in the MTT will score points for their team with 1st=100pts down to 100th=1pt. Teams are to wear their own matching-colour team shirts for both days of the event – if desired, these are available from APAT at a subsidised cost of £15 per shirt (reduced from £18) and in addition to the APAT logo and UK Team Championship 2014 event wording embroidered onto the shirt breast, can be branded with the Team Name and player name OR nickname (other wording or team logo embroidery is also possible but will cost more depending on requirements) - to order send a PM via HERE or by email direct to tom@apat.com. This event has seen huge demand in previous years, and we are expecting similar interest this year. The event has also on occasion previously suffered from ‘team last minute dropouts’, and therefore, as we did last year, we will again maintain a reserve list and require all successful teams to pay, via Team Captain, the entry fee in advance by 12:00 noon on Friday 3rd October 2014. Any team failing to meet the buyin deadline will have their entry offered to teams on the reserve list. Any team that pays the full buyin and has a last minute need to drop out will have their entry offered to the next team on the reserve list and whichever team takes up this option will have their buyin used to reimburse the team (via APAT) that had to drop out. Deadline for team applications is 3/8 with succesful teams notified by 8/8. Please post itt if you are interested in playing so we can sort a team/captain etc. Title: Re: APAT UK Team Championship Post by: celtic on July 11, 2014, 01:06:22 PM Pokerfan for captain!

I can't make it or I would apply, played one a couple of years ago, and despite having Claypole in the team, it was a really enjoyable weekend. Title: Re: APAT UK Team Championship Post by: KarmaDope on July 12, 2014, 11:55:35 AM I will apply as it is local to me, but was waiting to give newbies a chance.

However if the team is short or needs a reserve who will be at the venue, in case anybody is unable to make it, then I will play if really needed. It's a great event so think other players should be given preference so they get to enjoy an apat event and hopefully then play more.
Will join the team for a pint on Friday night for sure though. Title: Re: APAT UK Team Championship Post by: celtic on July 19, 2014, 03:38:22 PM Indicate interest. Title: Re: APAT UK Team Championship Post by: pokerfan on September 03, 2014, 08:55:05 AM My sincere apologies but I can no longer be a part of this.
As Ironside noted I haven't been online for two weeks, without going into detail I have some real life issues at the moment and poker is the last thing on my mind. I received an email from APAT; Deal All (email sent as a ‘BCC’ addressee to maintain your privacy), as Team Captain of your respective team for the forthcoming APAT UK Team Championship can I please advise of the following, covering: Event Buyin APAT Subsidised Polo Shirts Team Member Lists and Event Discussion APAT Forum Topic Online Qualifier Event Buyin 1. The full event buyin for your entire team, £440, needs to be paid via the APAT Coral online holding tank before the holding tank closes on 3rd Oct – and only by one person with one ‘total buyin’ of £440 – the event ‘online holding tank’ can now be seen in the APAT Coral lobby – you need to download the APAT Coral software via HERE and click on the green ‘DOWNLOAD NOW’ button and open an account if you haven’t already got one – then simply ensure your account has a balance of at least £440 and ‘buy into’ the event – it can been seen by navigating to ‘Coral Exclusive’ and then selecting the ‘APAT’ tab (6th tab down – use the arrow to move down one more spot) and the event is called the ‘UK Team Champs Holding Tank’ with a ‘start time’ of 10-03 12:00. Please be advised that any team that fails to buy in via the online holding tank by the time it closes will immediately have its team place offered to the next team on the reserve list. Branded Team Polo Shirts APAT will again facilitate you as team captains to obtain event ‘branded polo shirts’ with a subsidy to help you out – the cost for each shirt is usually £18 but APAT will subsidise this down to £15, and it includes the following embroidery on the breast: APAT (word logo) UK Team Champs Nov 2014 - plus your ‘team name’ and ‘player nickname’ or ‘player name’ Please advise myself by return email ASAP, but by 15th Sept at the latest, if you wish to order. Thereafter, by 30th Sept, you will then need to advise the following: Team Shirt colour (eg black, green etc) - Team Name (to be embroidered) – Player nickname or name (to be embroidered) – player shirt size (S/M/L/XL/2XL/3XL/4XL) – (and whether 1 or 2 shirts for player) Payment for the shirts will be required when you make your final order with player details etc (ie by 30th Sept). All shirts ARE GUARANTEED to be available - from myself from Friday evening in the casino – I’d advise you to ask for team shirt payment from your members AT THE SAME TIME as you ask for the event buyin fee as it will most certainly speed up the process for you and make it easier. Team Members and Event Discussion Thread PLEASE visit the APAT Forum and introduce yourself as team captain and list your team members in the UK Team Championship Discussion Topic HERE Online Qualifier Matt is putting the finishing touches to the Online Qualifier where those teams who did NOT make the cut will fight it out for the final 2 team spots – I believe it will be held on 21st Sept on Coral APAT- however, this event is also open to your teams who HAVE BEEN selected when you will have the opportunity to win the team buyin – Matt will release details via the APAT Forum asap. The full schedule of events over the weekend and the list of participating teams can been seen on the APAT Forum HERE – this topic will be updated in the coming weeks with the finer details of the event and the weekend in general. Please use this direct email address for further correspondence – be it for questions, queries, problems etc – and my mobile number is noted below – and you can get me on Facebook by CLICKING HERE (I would prefer to correspond by the FB (Messenger) method if you can). Many thanks indeed and I look forward to seeing you in Manchester – please don’t forget – buy in via the online holding tank asap, and let me know asap if you want the branded team shirts. (one last thing – we have a new Weekly Online League for £5 buy in playing for GPS seat, WPT DTD National seat, APAT Irish (PLO) APC package and Las Vegas 2015 package – would appreciate if you could help me promote it to your guys – Facebook page HERE with full terms/rules etc– new league starts every Monday at 8pm on Coral APAT). Cheers/Tom Tom ‘Irish Tom’ Brady APAT Operations Director If someone could take over it would be greatly appreciated. Sorry to leave you in the lurch like this. Regards Mally.
