Title: Pre Season Premier League Betting Thread
Post by: Dubai on August 06, 2014, 06:52:51 PM
Quite a few bets were matched on tips for Tikay last year and such effort to have to find previous posts for amounts. I'l happily lay a few bets and want some myself. Saves tieing money up for a year with the bookies and both sides can get best price this way

-obviously if you don't know the other person get a vouch or escrow the money****

I'm looking for my annual Arsenal fix. Top 3 @evens for a decent amount, same top 4@4/7

How would a match bet league goals only be priced up between Rooney and Sturridge?

I like Rooney if anyone wants to take Sturridge😃

I'll take Sturridge if you want.

Something friendly like £5 or £10 a goal on the diff at season end?

I'm not a big punter like these lads, so it might not be what you're looking for.

Yeh, starting winger opposite Puncheon. If I was a bookie and was setting the line for him it would be 1.5 goals despite him getting none in 29 games last season.

Wanted a small interest bet.

I did have a bet with my mate last year he would get 4+ but that went horribly wrong. Got a soft spot for him.

Should be a good season long punt, and hopefully not to expensive!

I think with United only playing domestically, you're probably fave, but I wouldn't think there is much in it.

Also, I'm guessing that like myself, Dave just wanted something to sweat.

I honestly hadn't even looked at it, so I didn't know that, and just thought it was about a flip.

I'm obviously not angling someone to win a bullseye, so can someone post up the prices if they're online?

Sorry, wasn't suggesting you were angling really. Just thought you would have looked at the market. Sturridge 7/1 best, Rooney 14s best.

I guessed that you had found it online, but they had been 10/11 the pair or something, so were doing what the NFL lads do to save the juice.

I didn't think there would be much in it, with United having no Europe, and him likely being skipper. Against Liverpool being back in Europe, and me guessing they would rotate a bit. Guess I wasn't quite thinking about it right :D

Haha, it's ok mate, I knew you weren't... I just followed usual procedure when I saw it, and thought 'that should be a good sweat'.

struridge 7/1 golden boot 14/1 rooney.

I found those after Scotty said, and wondered if they had any 'head to head' bets anywhere?

Had a look myself, but couldn't find a market online.

Not particularly.  I don't particularly want to lay evens either but Dave comes on here and lays all and sundry everything they want (often in -ev spots probably) and asked for a bet that he wanted for the second or third time this week and nobody ever gives him anything even though he never takes the piss with prices or asks for arbs etc (which is probably why he wasn't asking for 11/10 in this spot) so I thought I would give him a bet.  He has helped me out a load in the past and I know he has done the same for others on here so I thought I would give something back and now, despite not checking the price anywhere, I feel as though he might feel like I am trying to make a turn out of him.

Being mindful of redarmi post above I think I was perhaps rather cheeky asking for the handicap bet without offering something in return. I was looking for £100 win or ew on Palace and will swop the stake for your ARsenal top 3 if you wish.

dunno whether to say well done or ul in the high roller btw

Can someone point me in the direction of a spread market for team total goals?

Would anyone be interested in laying a bet on this, not looking for anything mad.  (will need to see markets first, but I have an idea of what I'm looking for)

Also, if this could kick off i could be a good way of doing business, shafting the books, shafting betfair on commission and giving a bit of action to receive.

DUBAI Bookies, has a ring to it.  Pretty sure there is some rich Sheik outthere just waiting to invest.

Ace, I'll lay another £100 on Swansea top 10 @ 12/5 if you want, although I know you originally said £200 so you might be happy now.

I'd lay your bets if I could Dubya but already got vested interests on the sides you want.

Why not, booked. Same boat for me Dubai sry, I want the same side as you generally.

cool gl. I like the Costa bet.

Waiting for the dust to settle a little bit on the Palace situation before deciding whether or not I will be offering you odds on Palace to get relegated. You may decide against in the meantime, we shall see.

Happy to give you £2k at 1/2 on top 4 if you're still looking?

Any interest on 3/1 for top 2?  It's the current Ladbrokes price and a touch higher than it is on betfair - it was best price of 11/4 last night but the whole "Wenger sleeping on deadline day" media frenzy has driven it up slightly in the last few hours.

Happy to do £1k if so, which would mean we're even if they finish 3rd/4th.  Top 2 and you'd get £4k, 5th or below and I get £3k

They drifted to 4/7 or so today. If that's ok will have £2100@4/7 and £1200@5/4 top 3- probably taking a bad price there

You be +3300 if 5th or below, id be +2700 3rd and above and levels if 4th.

Let me know before Messi signs with 5 mins left of the market

They both a no for me. Wenger would prefer Wellbeck as can play left wing as well- Defoe supported Arsenal as a kid, that's about the only logic I can see there

He's having a medical. Welbeck, that is.

Defoe is very good friends with Ian Wright. Played for Wham and Spurs, so don't see it being a completely impossible move. Just don't believe he'd want to sit on the bench when he can be first choice with Arry.

Would anyone be interested in laying me a double on liverpool top four and swansea top 10? Can't do it online so was just going to see if there is any interest.  Current best prices 8/13 and 10/11.  I'm not quite sure why they won't let you do a double like this, i understand if you back Chelsea, City, United, Arsenal, Everton, Spurs etc all to finish top 10 in an accumulator its not really in their interest, but say I wanted to bet Leicester and Swansea to both finish top 10, then surely if one of them makes it, there is less chance of the other as they are both fighting for similar positions?

Anyway I might be totally wrong and no one will want to take the double the two i want to back aren't exactly fighting for the same spots.  Best prices the double comes out as just over 2/1, if anyone is  happy with 15/8 i'l take £240 to win £450.  I'm a little wary of posting this, as i'm not sure if it takes the piss as the bookies won't offer the double, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if someone shot it down.  In which case i'l prob back liverpool top 4 with fred at 8/13 as it beats betfair and seems decent enough to me.

Just weighed Micko in, and feel lucky that LVG tried turning Rooney into Roy Keane for most of the year!

Anybody that fancies me crippling another team's striker, let me know, and I'll take them in a match bet next season :D

Looking to back chelski at 7/4 win only for the EPL.  Seems to be a lot of money for the 'rags' who are 'under' on bf.  Not at all interested in backing them.  Don't blame the firms for wanting to lay them.  Happy to take 7/4 Chelski for the epl for reasonable stakes on credit to known faces only please.
