Title: interesting turn spot bvb
Post by: pleno1 on August 27, 2014, 04:37:55 PM
i feel like many people shove ott here, but is bet 1/4 pot better

assume he jams all pairs/ax pre. is shoving turn better to fold out his flop floats with bdfd that may jam/continue? assuming he flats all tx otf, and may have aa/kk/qq slowplayed too

What about checking to induce due to stack sizes?

If we bet small will allow us to have a bet/folding range and bet/calling range which will be more beneficial than just a shoving range right?

Theoretically we should have multiple bet sizes in most spots, with a balanced range for each. In this partIcular spot this means we'd have a bet small range (most of which we'd be bet/calling and some of which we'd be bet/folding) and a jamming range. This particular hand does not sit very comfortably in either a bet/folding or a bet/calling range. Which is why most players would probably instinctively prefer to jam this hand.

Sounds hugely player dependant, Tx makes up a decent amount of his peeling range especially if he's peeling too tight in this spot which from his pretty weak OPR I think he might be

Bet/folding is kinda gross if we're gunna get c/jammed by his floats that turned spades but I don't think thats too much of a concern in this hand cos I suspect he'll be on the passive side

I think bet/folding small vs this guy is going to be good, we don't need that many folds for it to be profitable, his floats that don't turn a spade will add up to enough combos I suspect and we're going to get to realise our equity a high %age of the time I reckon.

I dislike betting a lot and think we should be c/fing almost all the time, if I do bet it's like 2k with the intention of jamming most non-spade rivers I think

Bet 1/5th pot/ fold to shove. Try see a river to leave enough stack behind he can fold to a river shove.

Seems like there alot of decent rivers for us if he flats. Jam all spades 7.5 into 11 makes life shit for him as he shoves most Big Spades pre. And we have a decent amount of cards that make us.
Think it would better to try play a river and make a better decision there

betting turn with anything seems like a poor strategy. c/f here for sure, terrible range v range spot.
