I'm probably going to take a shot at the 25/25 Sheffield tonight seen as I will be knocking around anyway.  There will be plenty of updates / a comprehensive trip report provided and perhaps some additional observations.  Looking to sell up to 30% at just under 1.2.  I think this is a great weekend to play this with DTD holding the GP on the same weekend. 

£220 buy in @ just under 1.2 = Let's call it £260 cause I can work with this number.

2nd hand we fold out sb when folded round, we suspect bb is up to something and fold. He shows AA.

The table seems good.  Red felt with brown leather arm rests, it has at least 4 legs and is of very sturdy construction.

Down to 19.1k.  We comprehensively hit a flop with a multitude of straight and flush draws, we're all Betty Betty for like 3 streets but get raised on a brick river.  Still feel like 191bb is a bit much though!

Absolutely hating these chips, they all look like the same colour.  Just raised to 250 with a 5k chip cause they look the same as the 500's.  Will be verbally declaring my actions and sizings to adjust to this, thus showing my versatility as a player!

We've done a few raises and gone 4/5 ways to a flop in most instances.  Going is slow, and progression has been somewhat backwards.  20300 with 10mins left of 150/300.

Any visual updates?

In a pot that I would describe as friendly pre flop, we see a Q98ss flop with the JTo (no spade), raise on the button over a small bet, bettor calls. We go all checks on the 5s turn. He pots the 4s river and had Axss ( he showed the A and said the x was a spade too).  17175, good number considering.

Down to 12625, another pot where we complete bb, flop a pair gut shot and backdoor flush draw, make more draws on the turn 2 ways and have to fold to a 2k into 10k pot bet vs an older gentlemen who is unlikely to fold, at any point!

Back up to 18k after doing a check jamming in a 3b pot on a K97dd with JTdd.

Made a tight fold pre flop with TT vs ep open and a 3b from MP.  3b is for 3k so can't flat, guess it just feels dirty cause it's the best hand I've seen since the start of playtime.  Probably gonna use my pf holding moan round about now....

We jam twice and get it through.  Jam 12k with TT and hold vs A7s.  Next hand we raise our 23bb stack from the sb with A9ss and bb jams who covers and we win vs A6hh.

We had KT > AA on a AQJ K x where we check call all 3 streets including the river jam.

The had AThh where we defend vs a 3b and get a stack on a K97hh 3h 7x vs A7.

Win a bit more with QT on a AKx J J.

Appreciate the sentiment, I know this is a big shot for you.  We have played two small ones, AJ < AJ, and T8o > AA.  Not much story so far.

Just did a 'lose the minimum' with JJ vs AA.  Called utg raise pre, called flop and turn cbet on Q high and check check river.  Made gunshot OTT.  Also just lost the rights to a huge pot.

We open 74hh from co to 2400.  SB and BB call.   7d  5c 3d flop, check, bb jams 44k!!!!  We fold, sb calls with AA.  BB has 72!!!  Turn 6x but w/e, no need to call the shove.  Annoying cause we get the lot if he doesn't jam.

Just won a few more with AK vs a man doing an poker with an A on a A high flop.  Not like we opened UTG, but we seem to have developed a table rep for having inferior hole cards.  The tension every time I reach for more betting tokens is almost unbearable, and also, in my head.

It is at this point I would attempt to do a stack update, but we have many chips and it's too early to count.  We have well over 150bb though, so I'll leave it at that.

I've lost my phone, ill try and get a bro to hook me up at break.  We just won another 25k ish with J8cc > KK after doing some post flop "bro-smithery".

Another decent pot shipped with T2s.  Had to switch to stacks of 30.

Just lost a big one where we bet all three streets where we flop flush draw, turn straight draw and miss river.  Probs don't have the best stack / image to do it with but felt ok at the time.  Still got plenty, roughly what we started the day with at 1k/2k.  In addition, probably not the right villain either who made a very ambitious flop call.

Just been moved table oop to Ambler.  The table looks a bit like the youth club kicked out early, so I have a feeling this has not been a good move.

New table has been kind enough so far.  Just kind of misread a board in a spot where I should have gone bet bet bet but was a small pot so w/e.  Ambler has offered me a hand job in return for a double up, just working out how to distribute the equity now.

Our hero is doing well. Still has a pulse and getting at least 2 cards every hand. Hasn't urinated for at least 5 hours though. We're getting worried. Will keep you posted!

We've just had an open Jam for 300k+ at 4k/8k.  Post flop is dead yo.

We have had the good looking cyclist moved to our left and he's adamant on going all in a lot.

Another huge jam for 300k man, A6o shown to double up the bicycle rider.

About 800k going back to 5k/10k, 12 left average 300k.

Just got two knockouts for 100k each.  A2 > 52 vs an attempted stop n go on a T97.

2nd hand we open QJdd, and call a 10bb jam and basically make everything vs AQo.

We are obviously hand for hand.

HERO CALL ANNOUNCED. Vs the cyclist we call a river bet with an underpair on a paired board with a miss FD out there.  Unfortunately, as well as his looks, he also has a full house.  Still have plenty much though.

Hand for hand, as we might expect, has been an extensive process.  We are still H4H and despite losing a few small pots, have managed to do some 3b's and that and claw some back and maybe book a slight H4H profit.

Final, we have 2x average, everyones in serious stare at each other mode.

Just been papped for the final table photo.  It was nice of the TD to let everyone else join in the photo with me, think that experience has really boosted the morale of the other finalists and everyone is now happy face.  We have lost one K9 > JJ already.

For those interested in payouts, we need to get HU.

Just tried to get a man to fold a flopped top 2.  It did not go well.  Still got plenty though, 7 handed.

Interestingly, we have 2x 6k/12k levels where the antes just change from 1k to 1500.  Batey has just claimed a scalp to take us to 6 handed.  We have lost a a few small ones but still have just under 1mil.

We yet again lost to a Batey FH.  Batey has chunks.  We're down to 900k.  Two stacks much shorter than us so we have to worry about our ICM's.

Things have slowed down a bit more.  Theres 2x sub 300k stacks atm.  Not really much going on away from the table, Sam (aka The Floor) is just opening his mouth to prove to everyone that as well as not looking like he know's what he's talking about, he actually doesn't.  I've tried some moderate flirting with the cyclist but my advances have been rejected so far.  He has also been accompanied by a "lady friend" and it looks like she might be difficult to get rid of.

Hi all, Sam again. Just to let you all know, a scuffle has ensued after our hero's last comment. The cyclist and Tom are now cuddling and TheFloor (new nickname) is now on his way to hospital. At least i have this shiny new laptop. Starting bid £8.50.

We have about 1.6mill at 15k/30k.  Game is moving really quick owing to dealing hyper-efficiency.  The short stack still has 700k so its still to play for.  The Floor are still angling / slating me and this one time I've actually done nothing to deserve it.

I must first apologise to everyone who invested in me for not bringing home the win.  In more Peter Thorpe-esk news we actually didn't chop it and only min cashed.

We ended up finishing second to Mr Batey who would maybe have deserved the win if he wasn't shit.  The final hand was KThh < A7o if anyone actually cares.  A £60 tip was left for the dealers which I'm hoping everyone will be happy to absorb.  As such, payouts are as follows:

20% = £1300
10% = £650
1% = £65

I have it in cash and will be making the trip to the bank at some point.  Just so everyone is comfortable with the outcome of this thread, rest assured that Vernon will be grimmed and Goulder short changed.  Thanks for the investment everyone.
