Title: WPT Bowl Edition; A Tale of Two Bricks
Post by: theprawnidentity on October 29, 2014, 08:41:59 PM
In a thread that I hope will be in a similar vein to my last package, I will be selling bowl amounts of my 2x £125 bullets as an excuse to have another update / blog thread that has not much to do with the poker.  I will be selling 2x bullets (that will more than likely be bricked) for the WPT Warm Up at 1.2 which is a total of £300.  That means that a 1% sweat will set you back £3, the max I am willing to sell is 1% per bro.  I have let Todd and Trigg have 5% each as big investors in my previous packages.

It would be preferred if people buying shares were playing or planning on being at DTD so they can troll / angle / make my life as difficult as possible, though this is not essential.

For those not familiar with the tone of the previous thread, please see link:  http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=64450.0 (http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=64450.0)

For those who don't know me, it has been alleged that I can poker.  For anyone who needs any references or vouches, please see some kind words quoted from some regular blonde posters*:

P.S. I would like to nominate theprawnidentity for a copy, after the total farce and comic genius that was his staking thread yesterday, one in which for a change, ended with him returning funds to investors, and not asking for a top up.

Tom is probably the sickest player I've ever had the privilege to discuss strategy with.  He just takes the game to a whole new level and spending five minutes talking to him took my game into the Mesosphere, yo.

theprawnidentity is not entirely shit

If anyone has any further questions, enquiries or accusations please feel free to comment ITT.

*Quotes from posters above may be fabricated and/or fatuous.

£3>£2.60, I'm in.

Btw think I should qualify for a 5% chunk too, or did my £5.20 stake not count as a big investment?

Such a snob!

It did not.  Also, I've already grimmed you for best part of a bag and as much as I love the idea as going for an extra £12 on top, it would be the straw that breaks the camels back for my morals.

Following my recent chop, I have turned into a little bit of a diva and am prepared to ball out of control like a bawwwssssss.  I appreciate this is a huge package, and a big shot for many, but rest assured that I will give this package a certain %age of my attention.

Ruud and Mr Blacklaw booked in to do a 1 ball.

Ironside has bagged himself 1% also.  I need the money sending asap cause I've got Christmas presents to buy and I need to wrap this scam up asap, it's already taken up too much of my time and I've only managed to get £6 in so far!!!

In all seriousness though, by dinner next Friday will be fine, won't be playing till Saturday.

This is what I'm talking about, ballin outta control!!!  To hopefully quash some of your fears that I may be some kind of Nigerian prince, please see answers below:

your mums maiden name

I think before she had me she was call Steve.

a memorable place to you

I once had a very average 5 minute wait in AMF car park in Scunthorpe.

your first pets name

First pet was called Badum Badum cause it was what it sounded like when I ran him over.

your favourite meal

Any meal.

your NI number

Currently trading at 41.62 a share, but I think it's a little overpriced so I'd say 40.84.

your favourite colour

HB2.

Saturday 8th November and Sunday 9th November.  I plan to use both bullets on the Saturday, but if I somehow fail to register the Saturday evening flight and have yet to make Day 2, I will play the Turbo Day 1 on Sunday.

If the unthinkable / impossible does happen, I hope to have one of the biggest anti-rails DTD has ever seen.

Just to clarify, the stake is for the £125 Warm Up this coming weekend.  My £125 bullet this weekend was an impulse buy due to overlay.

If people who haven't could start shipping money that would appreciated.  Stars preferred but bank ok.  If monies are not received before 12pm on the Saturday of Day 1 then you will not have a %age, unless you send really last minute, I will confirm on Friday.

Still, the plan remains alive.

Hahaha, amazing.  I did this to Vernon once.  Sent him about 40 odd amounts that fell short of the amount I actually owed him.  Yehhh...... good times.

1% of this remaining, don't really want to sell anymore than 25%.  For the unfortunate soul who ends up with the remaining 1%, I can only apologise for the outcome.

That's right up there with the least funny things you've ever said. And, given you've barely said anything funny lifetime, that's really saying something.

Sorry, I misunderstood.

You expect me to PAY?

Do you know who I am?

You expect me to PAY?

Do you know who I am?

Aren't you the guy who bought into the WSOP main and managed to blind out before finding a good enough starting hand?

And compared the buy in to roughly 90m3 of decent concrete?

No, I played several hands, at least two.

No, I played several hands, at least two.

I can guarantee that if you make a financial commitment to this package I guarantee that I will play at least...   Twice as many hands as this!

Just reluctantly handed over £3 to Verncat1235. He was off to spend it wisely on chicken. If he hands it over to you then I am in. One way or another I am definitely getting grimmed

Thats when we deploy the second brick!!!

Also, I do some strategy stuff that will make it unlikely that I end up playing a 600bb pot without seeing 5 cards and being extremely confident we still have the best hand.  I mean, hypothetically.

Who is that?  You know that I dont actually know / have never met him?  Sounds like you've been done over good and proper!  Just devastated I can't take the credit for it now.

Oi you slag. Let me buy please ❤

Can't say no.  Send me £3 by 12 you slag.  No cash, no %.

For anyone who hasn't sent yet,  If I don't receive the £ by 12 Noon today or you haven't contacted me to arrange payment then your % won't be booked.

I've had to get up early to go get my hair cut pre drive to DTD.  I only mention this because there is a good chance I might be like Samson.  This is also relevant because much like Samson, I may use the second half of the stake to pay for hookers.

Seat draw is interesting, 13-2, Vernon 13-3.  Absolute dream for us.

In other news, we have played 2 small nots and not busted, thread delivers!

We do get the Aces early, somehow win a small one vs 2 players on a QJ8 9 5.  Whilst this is good news, in other slightly less positive news, we're currently looking at and listening to this:

Basically no activity halfway through level 3.  Raggy moved to my direct right.

Vernon is keeping up a continuous stream of weak PHA and other bunkum!  He also would have made trips on the river the other hand.  I will update the thread with any other cool stories as they transpire.

Just lost an intermediate sized pot with the nut flush draw.  Folded to big turn bet, 21k at first break.

Vernon giving hand analysis at the table, good to see him attempting to make the game softer

First hand after break we get a 6k short stack with AA.

Title: Re: WPT Bowl Edition; A Tale of Two Bricks
Post by: theprawnidentity on November 08, 2014, 03:28:38 PM
So we get 88 in a 97 way pot, flop J88 and chips go in from multiple bros.  Some post flop gear happens and we now have 70k.

KK > JT for another 15k vs a limp jam.  Just played a really tilting pot where we raise UTG, an older guy calls.  We have K9hh, flop 338hh, we cbet he calls, turn 9, we bet he calls again, river x, goes check check, he has A9 no heart.

Table gets more interesting:

Title: Re: WPT Bowl Edition; A Tale of Two Bricks
Post by: theprawnidentity on November 08, 2014, 04:25:57 PM
We have about 85k at 500/1000.

Title: Re: WPT Bowl Edition; A Tale of Two Bricks
Post by: theprawnidentity on November 08, 2014, 04:29:12 PM
Just lost vs a 13bb stack where he raises UTG to 3100, we make it 5800 just expecting to get it in with JJ.  QT9cc, he just lead jams, we call he has KTcc for pretty much the joint and wins.  We still have >70k though so happy face.

Table break unfortunately, although perhaps not the best table for us in terms of £, a laugh was had.  93k at 800/1600, no big pots to speak of.

We have deployed the second brick and are in the turbo, level 3 currently.  I'm having phone juice issues but I will try and update as frequently as possible.  We have Bingham on our table again, he's still one Edward Cullen looking marfkr!!

He has also 3b us, so has been demoted to my 5th favorite live poker player from the Peterborough area, who is called Tommy.

Punters gon punt though, you don't see a flop when you fold and I had valid quad draws pre flop.

Busto.  Older lady played her hand really well.  We flatted 76hh ip, Q85sss, she check calls, turn 4x she check calls, river Kx she checks again we jam and she snaps with AJss.  Gg.
