Very much like horse racing the greyhound equivalent offers punters the chance to enter the Tote Jackpot.  In order to be successful you have to pick the six winners of six chosen races.  If nobody is successful on winning the Tote Jackpot on the chosen night then the fund will rollover to the next chosen meeting.
If multiple rollovers occur then the Tote Jackpot can rise into thousands of pounds which is definitely worth giving it a go for the miniscule stake of £1 it costs for the bet.

Please note if we had done this last night we would have been out the very first race, just to manage expectation, it is very much more of a punt than anything else.

Just want to gauge interest and agree what we will do before committing to anything.

BorntoBubble, you ok to run it?

Does anyone know if we can get a discount like we did with the horse racing?

All ideas welcome on how to run it.

They were quoting 50p's on Tuesday Night Dogs. Dont know if that means you are only eligible for half the jackpot or how that works.

im sure someone on here knows for sure, ill look into it anyway. Once we know the races and are able to get the form sheets off the bags website we can look at how we are going to do it. i suppose its the same as the horse one in terms of the amount of money we collect will dictate what combo's we can have and then we can get a few of us to look at the dogs.

Gonna bump this just so it's doesnt drop off, obvs not a lot of interest yet, maybe I put it up to early but my thinking was to have it all arranged in advance,  as we are able to get hold of advance race cards  etc etc. I think Scotty might be trying to run another Sky dogs comp the same night, be nice to have this as an interest as well.

Here is the advance race card for tmrw night, jackpot races are 7:43 onwards for 6 races ending with the Prestige final.

Scotty/ Arbboy have a look and see what stands out, if anyone else wants to have input then just post it up here. I'll have a look and send it to Callum. Once we know how much we have we can work out what selections we are going with.

Ideally each race we can cross out some dogs and then have some tips so

Race 1 - don't back the 1 and 6 etc. 3,2,4,5 would be my order preference after that with 3 as a must pick etc. will try and do my best to do my best with the thoughts!

Ok guys so how does this work, do we have various selections covering different perms?  How do we know which dogs we are railing, publish here before the off ?

btw the fav in the 833 has been withdrawn (6/4 this morning) and replaced by a 12/1 rag.  This is a jackpot race.  Incredible they could do this if you put on your jackpot early with that as a banker you are pretty fucked now.

I will publish the first race before the first race and the rest just after (to save any lurkers stealing ideas!)

I hadn't looked at the market moves on oddschecker as i haven't done the card yet due to doing the day time BAGS all day since 11am.  I was simply summarising from the RP pricewise tables from the paper copy of the RPost on my desk with regard to the general openness of most of tonight's jackpot races.  It's pretty rare for a 7/2 shot to be backed into 6/4 on a live sky sports open before 2pm.  Accept my apologies.

Seems we would have got about 5/1 are investment:

JACKPOT fever gripped greyhound racing on Tuesday night as the Totepool Sky rollover at Hall Green ballooned from £141,003, that had been carried over from Romford a fortnight earlier, to a remarkable £870,832 – dramatically exceeding the predicted £500,000. It paid £3,025.20  to 201.5 winning units.

Like Omm said, we just missed out via the sprint which was a tough race where we got very unlucky. Would have been 6x our money but if 5 had held on in the last then it would have been 30x. Would have been some result.

It's a shame it was the second race but had great fun, would u ever have pick t1 in that sprint, I know we have back him a few times before but didn't have it as a sprinter, then again if there wasn't trouble it probably wouldn't have won.

T1 would have been one of the ones I discounted in that race. I can't really remember the race but vaguely remember thinking T3 was going to lead before getting whacked.
