If the cardroom is going to be PartyPoker branded how will this affect the '£1m' events namely UKPC and UKIPT going forward?  I would imagine the partners for these events may find it a bit awkward playing it in a PartyPoker branded venue (or will they?)

This seems to be a huge step forward for DTD, following their previous arrangements with Boss & I-Poker.

The very best of luck to both parties. 

I have no idea what the position with UKIPT will be.

To the best of my current knowledge, it will not affect the Sky Poker UKPC.

I'm not in a position to be a spokesperson for either Company, but as far as I am aware, nothing has changed as to possible future Events @ DTD, & negotiations for the August Event are well advanced (but not finalised) already.
 
The Club is currently plastered with Sky Poker Branding, & has been for 2 months, & this will remain in place until after the February renewal.
 
Sky Poker have been aware for some time of various options DTD were considering, including the Party option, & Rob Yong of DTD met with Sky Poker to discuss these options recently.

Party have their own "Live" brand - WPT - & this does not clash with UKPC as far as I am aware.
 
DTD will be running Satellites to the February Sky Poker UKPC on Party Poker, which suggests both parties are comfortable.
 
Prior to this deal, DTD Online were part of I-Poker, & that never prevented the Sky Poker UKPC taking place.
 
I am not aware of any reasons that the partnership between DTD & Sky Poker will not continue. That's not an "Official" statement, just what I am aware of.

We are hoping to soft launch some sats for the UKPC Mini from Monday and all being well (and everyone signing up) we can add everything from then.

Does the deal only relate to the partypoker skin itself, or will we see the DTD satellites if logging in from the bwin site too?

Dear DTD and Blonde Members,

Since announcing the partypoker DTD agreement Nicola and Glenn have been inundated with emails and messages so they have prepared these FAQ’s for you. This blog post addresses the questions that I am most likely to be asked in the DTD bar and smoking area!

Rewinding to Jan 2014.......
Last year I blogged about the stagnation of UK poker, apportioning some of the blame to the online poker sites who, in my opinion, were focussing on the short term revenues from high volume grinders at the expense of investing in grass roots poker, welcoming new players into this game that we all love and developing their software and products to provide a genuine level playing field for recreational players.

I said that we desperately needed one of the big online poker giants to step up and take on the challenge of re-generating the UK poker scene - it is a lot easier to introduce someone to poker when he is sitting at home in his y-fronts and slippers than drag him out of his house to a live casino card room, which in itself can be a daunting experience for a first-timer.I volunteered my own time and DTD’s services to work with such a company to help them bring the trust back into online poker by working hand in hand with the UK Poker Community.

But I then got knocked off course..........
I then got knocked off course from my online poker mission when DTD agreed to host the £3M WPT UK. This meant that I was chained to DTD’s online deal with iPoker until the end of October because we needed to run such a long online qualification campaign to ensure that DTD repaid partypoker’s and WPT’s faith in hosting a WPT Main Event outside of London.

Back to the job in hand............
After the WPT UK, I decided to renew my search for an online partner who had the scale, reach and genuine appetite to re-ignite the UK market. I got off my backside and went to see the decision makers at potential online partner companies and, after considering the options, I signed a contract with partypoker in January and met face to face with all partypoker departments in Gibraltar and London. I am pleased to report that all levels of the partypoker organisation are fully behind improving their poker offering and growing the UK market, I am a great believer in 'where there is a will there is a way' and there is a strong will from partypoker which is exactly what I was looking for.

DTD and partypoker already make a good team......
DTD’s first co-operation with partypoker was the ‘24hr Big Game’ - I am still trying to forget about that AA QQ hand with Tony G, then ‘The Road To Old Trafford’ - won by Sam Trickett (below) who donated all his winnings to charity Smile, and most recently the record breaking WPT UK in Nov 2014.

DTD’s Live Club will get bigger and better.......
DTD’s Live Club will have partypoker branding which my long suffering partner, Alex Ottewell (right), is currently project managing with partypoker

DTD’s monthly £300 Deepstack will be rebranded ‘The partypoker Deepstack’ and grow to be the biggest mid-range buy-in live event in the UK by qualifying hundreds of DTD and partypoker players every month

DTD’s Grand Prix will be rebranded ‘The partypoker Grand Prix’ and we plan to officially launch the partypoker DTD partnership with our largest ever Grand Prix  bringing DTD and partypoker recreational players together at the DTD Club

 The partypoker WPT is agreed in principle to be at DTD for the next 3 seasons  and will be DTD’s flagship higher buy-in event that we look to build each year

DTD Online Poker ceases to exist on Feb 19th – we are now part of partypoker UK with a dedicated DTD tab to be displayed within the partypoker lobby which is where you will find DTD online satellites and tournaments accessible to all partypoker players

DTD iPoker accounts are not being migrated to partypoker, DTD players need to open a new partypoker account here or just use their existing partypoker account

The partypoker software, cash games, STT’s and MTT’s, is compatible with Windows, Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android
Sky Poker UKPC Mini £110 and UKPC Main Event £1M online satellites will run on partypoker from Mon 9th Feb and UKPC Mini Online Day 1’s on partypoker from 16th to 19th Feb

Rome was not built in a day and neither was DTD - it was two years and £2m of delay costs before the government would even let us open our doors, but even the most opinionated poker player in the UK would struggle to say that DTD has not delivered exactly what the UK Poker Community ordered.I need everyone who has faith in me delivering to get behind partypoker UK and not bust my balls over any previous partypoker experiences or current partypoker niggles, gripes and moans. Equally, please do not keep any current constructive negative feedback to yourself, but rather than slaughter me, DTD or partypoker on social media, give me your constructive feedback on the Blondepoker Forum thread titled “Official partypoker UK Constructive Player Feedback” - I just need a little patience on your part to deliver the improvements. Re-invigorating live and online poker in the UK means everyone will be a winner, not just recreational players but pro players will also benefit from a larger player pool.

What if we don’t deliver........
Worst case scenario, throw your DTD membership in the bin and close your partypoker online account!

Quick question from someone who struggles a bit with the internet.

I've had a Party Poker Account since around 2004 or 2005. I re-opened it on Saturday, updated the software, ticked all the boxes & was ready to go. But......

I'm struggling to make sense of the Lobby.

I am only interested in two things - PLO & PLO8, & I only want to peruse, & hopefully play, SNG's or MTT's.

How can I filter the Lobby (or even find it!) to see those, & nothing else, please?

I tried to find the SNG's, but all I could see was a selection of Icons, not a "regular" Lobby as such.

Underneath the deposit icon in the top right hand corner are two boxes. If you toggle between the two it presents the lobby in two different formats. One of them is the one you want.

Now that's you sorted :) can you tell me where the UKPC satellites are on Party Poker please ? If I click on live events the only ones that come up are WPT.

The "mini" ones were under "qualifers" at the weekend, I played a few.........none there atm.

i would expect them to go up again today. last week saw testing from thursday onwards and we should see the range of satellites rolled out (and a DTD tab) as soon as PP can do it

they have no use now as there are no DTD tournaments on i-poker

They better offer something in lieu as I've been playing with no rakeback for the last 6 months at DTD and had absolutely no chance to use them after this was announced. How can something not be offered? I'm not even sure what needs to be thought about here, you find the value of the reward points each player has, and credit them with that value in cash, surely.

Is anyone else finding the freeroll laggy?

You can freeroll yourself into the $500,000 GTD Sunday MTT on 1st March

We now have a Facebook Group , hosted by Michelle Orpe. It's a restricted Group ONLY for UK players with partypoker accounts.

Handy for quick questions that online players have and Michelle will also be doing promos in there for members of that Group. This will allow us to communicate directly to UK online players and not get Blonde cluttered up with  loads of online questions.

Can you say a little more how it will work live?

Can we, for example, save several $120's and buy in to a Deepstack? Just making up the rest when we arrive?

Or will it be used with specific tourneys which have this buy in, such as the Grand Prix.

i spoke to DTD about this for you and the reply was as follows

"At the minute there is no part payment with these tickets they are for events of the same value only.

As it stands these tickets generated will be for the Grand Prix Million but as more tickets are generated more tournaments will be introduced.

Watch this space."

More tournaments with a significant amount of the prizepool diverted into seats for another game?

The distribution of the pot gets skewed by this. My instinct says it's not a good thing for the players,  maybe someone can make the opposite case?

Currently on partypoker (and most other poker sites) you can not get these size guarantees for the buy in's we are offering and therefore we do not see this as taking from the prizepool instead we are increasing (doubling) current prizepools on partypoker and including the seats to events. Without adding the attraction of these seats we wouldn't be sure we'd hit the cash guarantees (or at least it would attract different players and not DTD players which is who these tournaments are for).

We are also allowing tickets won to be used for ANY future events either online or live so players who win tickets are now at an advantage over the current satellite rules.

You won't play if you don't intend to play at DTD anyway. So if it's money you were spending in the first place it's not really coming out of the poker economy or anything like that.

It's incredibly ambitious yet again by DTD to try to hit these guarantees when the pool is (i presume) going to be made of of largely UK players only.

Really hope it works out as I love this idea from a selfish perspective.

The fact that these are for any DTD event eases the situation and I appreciate that DTD guarantees prize pools.

Hi all. I would like to set up an account on partypoker to play some sats for the DTD live events.

Questions...

1) Is it a simple ABC process which I can just set up in minutes?
2) Are there any current new player benefits/codes in use?
3) Can I set it up to play in £££'s and deposit/withdraw without any real issues?

Every day at least 1 $550 satellite has ran. We have split the 10 seater to 2 x 5 seaters which are scheduled at 7pm & 9pm - this is to help get them started as only neeed 6 to run not 11. Apart from make them all 2 seats GTD and minimum runners 3 there is not much else we can do to help get them started.

The best things to do is to register early and show your interest, from experience if something looks like it will run in advance more people register - for some reason people are put off being the first to register so then no-one does ;)

They should all run during the week so keep registering :)

The FX refund was put into my account on Friday.  However it was only £12.  The exchange rate that is being used is awful and if you look at the USD-.GBP and the GBP-USD  in the cashier the spread is huge.  I was expecting around £20 given the rate has been around 1.55 for a while - and this is the rate used when I buy into a $ tournie on the PP software.

Today we are making some exciting changes to the Daily UK Tournaments, and to our DTD, Pokerfest Live and other UK specific satellites. 

Please take a moment to read this post carefully...right to the bottom for news of a GREAT Promo!

New Guarantees / Reduced Buy-Ins!

As of today until Sunday 30th Aug 2015 the following changes will take place:

The 7pm Daily UK Major Nano will see the guarantee increase fourfold to $2,000! The buy-in remains at $1.10.  This $2,000 Guarantee includes 80 x $5.50 tickets, so the tournament needs 82 runners to start.  Make sure you register early!

The 7pm Daily UK Major Micro will see the guarantee increase to $5,000 every day, not just on Sundays! The buy-in remains at $5.50.  This $5,000 Guarantee includes 50 x $22 tickets, so the tournament needs 52 runners to start.

The 7pm Daily UK Major Mini will see the guarantee remain at $10,000, but it now has a new lower buy-in of just $22! The $10,000 Guarantee includes 20 x $109 Tickets, so needs 22 runners to start. 

Furthermore; the 1pm, 4pm, 10pm and Midnight Minis will also see their buy-in drop to $22, with no decrease in the $1,000 Guarantee.

Other Tournaments

The $1.10 and $5.50 tournaments we run will remain at that buy-in, the $27.50 tournaments will drop to $22, the $120 tournaments drop to $109 and the $550 tournaments drop to $530.

What about my tickets?

There will be a period of time this afternoon where we'll be swapping the tournaments over, and changing your tickets as follows:

Holders of $1.10 DTD Tickets - no changes
Holders of $5.50 DTD Tickets - no changes
Holders of $27.50 DTD Tickets - will receive a $22 DTD Ticket and a $5.50 DTD Ticket
Holders of $120 DTD Tickets - will receive a $109 DTD Ticket and 2 x $5.50 DTD Tickets

Daily UK Majors Announcement!

New structures, new late reg, awesome new WPT promotion for DTD Members!

We've been listening to our community of players and have made several improvements to our Daily UK Majors, and to our other UK & Ireland exclusive tournaments.

This post outlines the major changes. There is also a great promotion for Dusk Till Dawn members!

The 7pm Daily UK Majors:

1. Late Reg being reduced to 12 levels.
2. Clock changed to 12 x 8min levels, followed by 12 x 10min levels with the rest of the levels being 12min.

These two changes will reduce the grind early on and shoud make the tournaments a lot more enjoyable.

After reviewing the performance of the 7pm Nano, Micro and Mini, we are reducing the guarantees to: Nano: $500, Micro: $2500, Mini: $5000. These guarantees will be continually reviewed, and if we are able, we will certainly increase them!

We've also made some good changes to some of the other UK & Ireland specific tournaments.

Our hourly Nanos are now a 3 minute clock, to give players the much requested 'fun & fast tournament' with a $50 Guarantee.

We've changed the schedule of the daytime and evening Micro Turbo and Mini Turbos. So now they run at 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 9pm and 11pm. We've also changed the clock to 6 minutes on these.

The guarantees will be $250 on the Micro Turbo and $500 on the Mini Turbo.

Late reg is now being reduced to 12 levels across all of these tournaments. (might take a couple of days for them all to become 12 levels, some are currently 13 or 15)

We firmly believe that these changes will make the tournaments more fun to play. Many players have asked for a better structure and a shorter late reg period, so we have listened, and delivered! Keep the feedback coming.

All changes come into effect over the weekend, the Guarantee changes from Saturday 29th August and the Levels / Late Reg changes along with the new timings happening over Saturday and possibly Sunday.

There is a new BIG daily tournament on the horizon...

We are spreading the word early, but there should very shortly be a new $25,000 GTD, $109 Buy-in Tournaent added to the Daily Schedule. The final bits and pieces are being finalised, but it will be a great tournament for all partypoker players (not just UK&I). This new tournament is due to go live sometime during week commencing 7th September. We'll give you more details when we get them.

What time can you buy in until tomorrow, the turbo leg which starts at half 10? It also says another day1 leg starts in afternoon but is that only for people who have bought in previously?

Do you know when the WPT full schedule will be available...or point me to where it is??? I couldn't see it on the website.

* Last week, I asked Gary Oakes and Nicola Veitch to come up with a good promotion over the next couple of weeks that rewards players that support these MTTs regularly but they came back with an idea I liked in just a couple of days - so today they launched

We have today made the decision to postpone the upcoming Pokerfest series which was due to commence this Sunday, 27 September 2015.

The decision has been taken as a result of performance issues that have impacted our service following software updates this week.

just to make you aware there has been a change in the times of the Daily UK Mini & Micros as of today.

All Mini & Micros have been pushed forward by 1 hour therefore the new start time of them is 12pm running through to 10pm every 2 hours. The 7pm mains have been moved to 8pm.

This doesn't affect the WPT Superstars Leaderboard, you still earn points the same as you would have previously meaning its the 8pm games which now offer triple points.

DTD Cash Game Bankroll Sat 2x £500 credits. I have a vague idea what this is having read something at some point and I can't find anything on the DTD website. There lobby itself has no real info and more info links to a useful "how to play mtts" section on the PartyPoker website. 

Its an absolute pain reading the lobby and its really hard to know on the client what I can actually play and can't without keeping up with the promotions that have no value to me at the moment, as I cannot get to DTD easily/regularly. The way seats awarded have been handled in the past has consciously changed my decision to play some things. I think having all the promotions on listed under the promotions tab should be pretty mandatory. Maybe its the Party website I should look at?

partypoker earlier starts 18:00 therefore earlier finishes from tonight!

$5K Jab, $50K Uppercut, $20K Contender, $50K High Roller all start at 18:00pm tonight as per players requests to have earlier finished and align start time with other sites.

The $109 17:00 weigh in has been increased to $25K Gtd from $20K as players have supported this and if they bust the Uppercut is now only 60 mins later.

To ensure there is still plenty of choice at 19:00 there is now a $2.5K for $5.5, $5K for $22 and $10K Counterpunch for $55.

Personally I was nervous about doing this, history tells me that players ask for earlier starts and you end up doing your coconuts but party want to do everything they can to make the experience better for players so are going for it.

Important: New daily MTTS 7pm UK time on partypoker from Sunday

Chris Donnachie, partypoker Poker Room Manager, contacted me regarding the recent time changes on partypoker to 18:00 UK. He realises that some UK players won't be able to play these so from this Sunday partypoker will add some new daily tailored MTTs for UK players who can't play before 7pm and also need earlier finishes to get up for work in the morning:

19:00 UK Jab II - $5.5 buy in $2.5K Gtd (late reg 20:25)
19:00 Contender II $22 buy in $5K Gtd (late reg 20:45)
19:00 Uppercut II $109 buy in $20K Gtd (late reg 21:10)

Jab II has 8 min clock, Contender II 10 min clock, Uppercut II 12 min clock, which means that UK finish times will be around 11:30pm Jab II, 12:00 Contender II 12:30 Uppercut II.

In line with the long term stratgey to reduce late registration on MTTs, late reg is reduced to 10 levels [the same as Powerfest]. All of these MTTs are FOs.

Chris asked me to let players know. I like this addition, we can also look as some cool promos in the future with the 18:00 Jab and the new 19: 00 Jab II at 19:00 etc.

The GTEs are not huge, but if you support these, you know will happen to the GTEs.

Select your preferred options and Save
You can customize buttons 2,3 and 4 to accommodate your style of play
Choose between Pre Flop and Post Flop options and configure bet buttons based on percentage of pot and number of big blinds

I have a few £550/$720 tickets that I've won but I now see that the online D1s have been reduced to $675 to enter. Due to the £ weakening will I get a refund for the difference when I use a $720 ticket that I paid dollars to win? My account is in £ but the tournaments are in $ to buy into.

this is to reflect the huge movement in £/$ meaning the online buy in amount has altered, and the T$ is to ensure players aren't short changed

Yes the cash desk can register online tickets. if you have multiple tickets then they can be combined into a bigger buy in etc once you've used one on a £550 event
