Title: 3D TV Help Post by: Kmac84 on March 30, 2015, 09:34:28 PM I'm a technophobe at best but thought by buying a smart tv/3d ready all I'd need to do was turn it on and be able to watch sky 3d. When I flick the channel on I get a split screen I have spent the last hour searching sky forums and seems I need to activate the 3d option on the tv or via the remote but struggling to find this, had a look on the tv manufacturer website but the download doesn't seem to be working well for me for the guide. The guide that came with it, I can't make head nor tail with.
Any ideas, its a Philips 6800 series. Title: Re: 3D TV Help Post by: toddswain on March 30, 2015, 09:44:18 PM On my tele you have to use tele remote to change the screen view to split

This is utter pish! There are 2 types of 3d tv Sky broadcasts active which has a split screen the passive 3d is the old blurry picture you would remember from 3d movies in the pictures. Title: Re: 3D TV Help Post by: Kmac84 on March 30, 2015, 10:23:50 PM I feel like a moron here, the tv is active 3d according to what i have just read now. But I can't be sure the glasses are on instructions say if they flash green can watch for 4hrs red watch for 2 hrs. but i can't see any LED light on them.
Title: Re: 3D TV Help Post by: Eck on March 30, 2015, 10:32:15 PM Yeah think the magic in active 3D is in the glasses. They are quite expensive glasses compared to the other type. I don't have 3d just recall demo's when I worked at Sky.
