Title: David L'Honore - WSOP Main Event + Bits and Bobs Post by: LonOhRay on June 16, 2015, 06:22:08 PM Hello Blonde, I'm David L'Honore and after losing access to my Blonde password and original email a kind fellow reset it for me so I will now be able to post instead of browse during my daily Blonde hour :) I've found myself in Vegas for the next 4 weeks and will be playing a few tournaments, I will be selling/swopping some pieces along the way. I've played poker for 3 years as my only source of income and continue to do so, I am backed by Zima/Elio stable online for mid-highstakes MTTs but a lot of my time recently has been spent playing live cash games, Holdem, PLO and occasional mixed games £1/2 - £5/10 - These are on my own £ and I stake other players in similar games, these have all gone very well and I continue to enjoy the game. I have sold to a few events on Blonde before, am friends with many regular posters, your investment is in safe hands. I haven't decided on a mark up yet but it will be more than fair as it will be my first 10k event - I have seen laughable mark ups all over the place for all events, I feel uncomfortable overcharging and as such I nearly always take the worse side, be it poker related or otherwise - I will talk to others about this before I decide. If you are interested please post, preferably a minimum of 1%s but feel free to chop up 0.5 with friends if you're like me and like to have lots of small pieces for the sweat. Today I am playing the $1500 Split Format (9 handed - 6 handed - HU - 4handed) WSOP event at the Rio It starts in 3 hours with late reg for another 6 but I will be sat down ready to play before the first hand is dealt. Have 14k from 7.5 staring after level 2 Won lots of small pots but two pleasing ones. Young American "douchebag" hand before called a clock on a nice middle aged guy after he's bet 3k and been put all in, no need for it the guy has his head in his hands agonising and its only been a minute. The hand he opens 250, I defend bb A5 flop 754hh check/check turn 5dd I lead 400 into 550 he calls, river 4 I lead 2100 into 1350, he starts thinking, someone else on table calls clock after 30 seconds everyone is amused, he calls after clock starts :) Hand before break he has 1800 left and I open on his bb he crai I call top pair and win. Good two levels. Table isn't particularly good, there's two fun players on my right I've been calling their raises preflop and been squeezed 4/7 times, hopefully can use this soon whilst stacks are still relatively deep. Winning 5k overall between 2/5 and 5/10 games, out of the 10 games I played in 8 were very good but they were probably helped by being EDC weekend.
Today I'm playing the 600 Big O at Venetian thanks to reading Tikay's blog, I know its not the "Highest EV" or biggest guarentee but I really enjoy the game and it should be good fun, not selling anything for this one though. It was overall really steady apart from first hand back on last level, 89 on AdJd8h7hQh, lost 20k where I bet big on flop and turn and all in on river. Had a lot of pairs preflop and keep getting 3bet small so I've lost a lot there not connecting in 5/6 pots 66k at 1200/2400/400 - expensive, if I had carried in from earlier with a stack would be in very profitable situation with players at the table. Was on left of Hellmuth, he'd open 9k when weak and 11k when strong, he 3b folded AQs from a 9k open he 30k/folded vs 100k stack, the chip leader was opening a lot and v active, Hellmuth opened AKo to 11k and got 3b to 26k playing 250 and folded face up after a few minutes, don't know how he does it. He opened co to 9k with Q7dd and got jammed on for 30k out if SB at 2/4 and he had over 200, he was saying out loud how last time you did this you had A8off suit and A7offsuit but he still went through the hoo hah of pulling in the 9ks to the middle adding it all up and 3 minutes later calls. Don't know why I wrote that - our table is redrawn tomorrow which is a shame, I must have run really good with tables because these have alll been equivalent to a GPS. Sorry for the delay in payment, (was due to pay yesterday, informed everybody the day I landed, girlfriend had booked a weeks holiday and I would be away) I have sent to everyone via mobile banking I have sent to before and sent £480 on Stars to Dom.
