Title: Daniel Carter $5200 WCOOP main event.
Post by: lucky_scrote on September 26, 2015, 06:44:41 PM
Looking to sell for the $5200 WCOOP main event at spot.

Although an abysmal WCOOP so far, the month has actually been very good with a 4th in the big 109 ($9.5k) and a 3rd in the Partypoker Sunday $200 ($14k).

In June I joined the same stable as John Gill with pads and co. I never thought I would be looking to sell for a 5k online as it's a very large buy-in, however, I am very confident about my game at the moment and I would like to play.

Year to date:

My ABI has been a lot higher since joining the stable as I have found a lower table count has shown a substantial improvement:

Looking to sell a total of 40%

5%: $260
10%: $520

To all those investing, please send funds to "Danistheking" (Winchcombe, no avatar) on pokerstars in POUNDS STERLING. If pounds isnt possible just send in dollars and let me know.

Thanks,

Dan

I started the day getting out of bed at around 11am CET to take the missus to work. I went for an hour massage as I know I have a demanding day ahead of me.

I have felt pretty excited all day to be honest. A lot of people who are playing this tournament are people who are not going to be as prepared as me. People that never study and just play online a few times a year. In my experience a lot of regs play it that are definitely not capable of doing well in such tournament, people that play small stakes and sell 80% (probably with a mark-up too) and are delighted with a min cash. As well as this, you get a lot of satellite winners that are forced to play. That's another bunch of people that aren't capable in this tournament. Let's not forget the whales too. It's a 5k and a lot of whales don't bother playing anything unless it has a huge buy-in, this tournament has been advertised well.

Of course, there are the elites too. I want to be an elite but I won't kid myself, I have to continue working hard at this game and never stop. Never be stubborn with what you know and try to learn from your poker peers.

I am buzzing today. I'm going to give it my best. If my best means 3 barreling off in a 3bet pot 2nd level of the tournament so be it. If I have to hero fold off 80% off my chips on the river, so be it if it's the best decision.

I hope that I am lucky in this tournament and you all have an exciting rail :). I'll be playing a max of 6 tables today so that I can put as much focus on the main event as possible. Any research or information about my opponents is welcomed here.

Took down a big one at the end of the break there. I used a fair amount of my time bank, but I figured even though the guy is probably good, he is likely to not be giving me respect. Plus people get greedy. Helps that I have the diamond too I guess.

Although the new table is riddled with regs, it does have 2 big fish; daskalos20 and Jackob4444

3 1/2 hours in and still at the tough table. Figured that a couple of the players aren't as good as I first suspected which helps.

On 82.5k with average just over 53k. Long way to go :P.

4.5 hours in and on 89k. Table line up still not changed, but given how things are going I am not too bothered, I feel comfortable.

I've had quite a lot of good hands without a lot of them going to showdown. My RFI and steal are extremely high so I am probably going to nit it up for a while.

Just lost quite a few chips and down to 56k which is still a fine stack.

Obviously a bit unlucky with this turn card but the river definitely stopped me from jamming so it's not all bad. http://www.boomplayer.com/en/poker-hands/Boom/16081705_A2FC0C1CE4

51k @ BB1500.

Had very little to do this past hour other than the hand I lost that I posted above. Pretty big hour coming up since a lot of chips will be shifting, so hopefully I can just get on the right end of something.

Been moved. New table is meh. No sickos but a few regs. One terrible reg to my right and I've been informed another guy is a fish...

Well I doubled to around 80k. Not long after I had a really interesting hand vcs Th3_Gecko who is a cash game reg.

I used up most my timebank here. REALLY gross spot. I hope it was the right choice.

AK is pretty gross spot. hard to consider him to be particularly light when he continues to a 4way cbet even given those positions.

horrific spot, really rough, especially because your range looks awfully AQ/AK heavy.

The donkbet with KKK on the river though after you get raise on the flop and c/c turn, thoughts on that one Dan? Didnt like river personally.

I have no history per se with villain but I have played with him and know he is a really shit reg (losing player). His range is just sets and bluffs. My donk lead is for 3k which is like 12% pot or something (cba to check). I don't think this is going to effect whether he decides to bluff the river or not, but when he does it is going to be a lot bigger, the same goes with the times he has a set.
