Title: GUKPT Main Event - selling 50% at 1.09
Post by: The Camel on November 25, 2015, 10:23:30 PM
Made a late decision to play the GUKPT at the Vic on Friday.

Looking to sell half my action at 1.09

10% = £230
5% = £115

etc etc

Bank would be best, but Stars or Neteller would be ok too.

TIA

Joshing aside, that was quite a week for you, especially - iirc correctly - you'd been running bad for a while at the time.

19th Jan, Luton, 8th for £1,960

Great fun.

just an excuse to get your own brag Tony?  So good you posted the same tournament result twice.

Most of them are old farts, but you don't hear much about JP Kelly these days.

Have been reading Chompy's excellent "the effect of the chop" in preparation for this week's old farts convention.  Will be round to speak to you with 43 left.

Quite a week indeed. Jake was born almost exactly 9 months later too.

If we had chosen to go down the Beckham's route of naming our offspring he could have been saddled with the moniker "Luton Travelodge Hawkins".

My brag? I never mentioned the real brag, my min cash (I min cashed almost every time) was nothing compared to the action I had in one J Thew.

You, Eric Barker & Thewy, what a final 3 that was. I actually updated it from the table. Thewy called Eric down all the way with 2-2 for almost his entire stack. Yikes.

We're in the race.

Finished with 83,600

Can't remember the last time I enjoyed playing poker that much.

Fun table, Keith, or just played well?

I wouldn't exactly say I played well, just a ridiculously nice head start.

At 50-100 a guy opens for 300, gets two callers and I call in the BB with 54 cc.

Flop Q54 rainbow and he shoves for 15k! I call (obv) and he turns over KK and doesn't improve. And wanders away muttering about how "they can call with such rubbish"

It's the first time in ages I've had an early gift and I opened up a bit, and as I didn't encounter any resistance, I opened up some more.

I didn't win any pots as big as that gift from the mutterer, but I didn't lose any either.

By level 6 or 7 I imagine my VPIP was well over 50%. I played like I used to 10 years ago. Poker was fun again.

In a £2,000 Event?

Glory be.

More of the same today would be nice. Make 'em mutter.

No good I'm afraid. Phone died so I couldn't update.

Hardly won a pot all day, knocked out about 30 short of the money.

Played one really weird hand which I'll post on PHA when I get home. Not sure if the villain is a genius or an idiot. He won half my chips whichever it was.
