Throughout August and September Scotty ran blonde's Greatest Mind, a quiz designed to find blonde's best "quizzer". The link to the thread is below where you can see TightEnd eventually prevail via a tie-break in the final versus mulhuzz, with me only one point behind in 3rd place.

Scotty then started a second season of the quiz, but for unknown personal reasons he hasn't logged in for over two months now and we were at the semi final stage. I don't want to carry on with his quiz (mainly because I'm still in it!) so rather than try and continue his vision, I thought I'd go with a new version.

So here is blonde's Greatest Mind 3!

Now, I know I have form for pretty obscure questions - so before I even made this thread I came up with the twenty questions and tested them on my housemate, who scored 10/20, which is what I was aiming for. He said beforehand that he wasn't good at general knowledge stuff as well! The questions are pretty well mixed, so don't let that worry you.

So, basically, declare your entry in the thread and when we're full I'll make the first round draw.

If I can make one slight suggestion to improve (although I know your going to do for no reward) But it would be to go through the rounds quicker (yes i appreciate i probably wont last long anyways). Just felt the last time when there was 10 days or so in between rounds it lost a bit of momentum. It only takes about 5 mins to go through and answer them afterall.

questions are too tough

They were certainly WAY too tough for me. Think I answered "No Idea" at least 5 or 6 times.

One question asked me about a character in some obscure TV Show - I'd never even heard of the TV Show, as I don't watch "light entertainment".

No complaints though, & the winner will be the brightest person.

I don't think that a set of questions where the par score will be in the 5-8 range is necessarily worse than the usual 11-14 range

A slightly bruised ego is a fair price pay for learning a bunch of new things imo

A wooden spoon would be an upgrade anyway, at our school quiz nights the losing team used to get a pack of empty biros that had been recovered from the recycling bin in the staff room :D

Truly shocked I got through, unlucky woodsey

Having a bit of a laugh by myself, I was thinking I had a blinding start.... Until I realised X's are bad and O's are good. Good first round, a few jammy guesses helped with that whopping 7/20

If I can get 3 correct, & so get past Greeky, that'll do me.

Incidentally, perhaps it was a trick question, but the way I read it, the "what colour is the Jubilee Line?" question was oddly worded.

I wanted to reply "red, silver & blue", but I fancy Adam meant what colour represents it on the London Underground Map.

I have my "Objection" template at the ready.

we have the jubilee line question once before, and it caused a hoohah

i could quote sources that say the colour on a tube map is grey, or silver

for example

"The Jubilee line is coloured silver/grey on the Tube map, to mark the Silver Jubilee of Elizabeth II after which the line was named."
