Title: A few hands from last night
Post by: shipitgood on August 08, 2016, 12:45:51 PM
Blinds 20/40 we have 10k - millions of of bbs! 6 Handed

 Ahrt Qh UTG+1

UTG-120, we just call, button call, blinds fold (420)

Flop: Ad 5h 7d, Check, we bet 280 Button calls, UTG folds (980)

Turn  9h... It's on us, thoughts on bettering/ checking turn.

HAnd 2, 1066019576

It's verus a player who limps a lot

Blinds 15/30, we have 3.2k and cover villain.

We have AK UTG and make it 90, button calls, blinds fold (225)

Flop: AJJ rb, we bet 120 call (465)
Turn Q, still rb, we check villain bets pot 465, its on us? I would say his range here is mostly Jx, when this particular sort of player mashes the pot button.

Hand 3) I'm not sure about this river spot.

We have 22k @ 75/150 Raise c/o with 1010, SB Calls.

Flop  3h 8s 6d,  X we bet, call. Turn 7c  X we bet call.

River  Tc ------------- Pot is 3k ish we both have 20k behind.

Check, its on us....Thoughts on betting versus checking river

1) Bet turn, not that close for me, calls with a load of Ax we beat, FDs we want to bet against, some better hands we have loads of equity against. Villain could definately have some worse heart flush draws too, which we want to be piling in money. Can't think of a reason not to bet

2) Sounds like you've answered your own question if that's how you view the villain. Fold

3) Bet. Often 9x will lead river, people will almost never bluff-raise when you bet this spot, you can have a bunch of 9x, but you can also have some bluffs... and people don't like folding pairs+

Agree with Thigh, although in hand 1 I'd be super tempted to 3b AQ suited this deep, assuming 10k is the effective stack.

Hand 2 with AK

Between betting the turn and checking, I expected him to play very honest OTT, while he could have a straight, its pretty terrible if he could have Raggy Ace x, which is probably in the mix.

Looing back prefer to bet turn > xing.

hand 1, pf fine, check call turn seems good

hand 2, seems like a really standard flop check imo OOP. as played definitely check fold

hand 3, fistpump 100% value town
