Title: CBB 2017 early edition
Post by: Ironside on January 03, 2017, 10:56:57 PM
James Cosmo surely the biggest British celeb ever to enter the house

Just seen who's gone in.

Most of this lot were unpopular the first time round and I've no idea what mid-Atlantic Calum Best is doing as favourite. He finished third behind Katies Price and Hopkins ffs!

Austin Armascost became more likeable as his series rolled on and was only beaten by James Hill. That's way stronger form, as is Speidi's second to Rylan. They'd have easily won a lot of series.

Austin stands out as the only genuinely decent guy in a sea of shite, although don't know much about Ray J, Brandon Block, James Cosmo and Stacy Francis tbh.

Was thinking along the same lines with Austin, although I lent more towards his bromance with James giving him a lot of support and obviously changed the way he acted and was portrayed in the house, he is single now but looks like no lovable rouge available to share a bromance with this time.

God knows as well what the producers have in store for this lot and how it will affect the outcome, I predict with it being old and new that  all sorts  of bombs will be thrown in at the last minute.

My wife wanted to put a bet on James Cosmo, didn't even ask why, just put it on for her, now I see he was in GoT and it all makes sense.

Good luck if you try working out anything sensible for this addictive car crash tv show.

James was a huge deal back in the day, not seen game of thrones but believe it has given him Street cred and young fans too

I'll be honest, I'd never heard of him.

Crazy how even though he appears in some huge Hollywood blockbusters he's always come back to do regular British TV in between. Kinda makes a bit mores sense he'd go in to the house.

Yeah this.  I recognise him though.

Given half this lot have been in before, and half the others barely qualify, then they seem to be running short of celebrities.  Guess there aren't going to be many more series.

I had a look through the list and had to look up on Wikipedia who most of them were - amazing how many of them are only 'famous' due to having slept with someone who has a better claim to being a celebrity.

Think Speidi should be clear favourites here.

Their gameplaying USA ways wouldn't have had a chance five years ago but that's gone full circle. It's a short course and you have to make a mark. They were off the charts with some of the behaviour in Rylan's series, all pre-planned.

So comedy Calum being the early favourite. The current crop of specials punters who set the betty market are miles inferior to the original batch. Wouldn't have happened under DJ Sunset.

D J sunset is more famous than this Cosmo fella.

Is he still banned from betfair?

Was just about to ask what has become of DJ Sunset (deffo more famous than half of this lot, who I only recognise from having been in cbb before

Spidey about to go favourite. They'll get way more coverage than anyone this series.

Ray J looked interesting after day one, but he honestly believed his moment with Kim Kardashian was the biggest thing to happen on this planet. Ever. Dick.

No idea why Coleen has come in for support. Same comment Angie.

Something must have happened in the last 24 hours for James 'straight' Jordan to shorten up so dramatically.

Someone wants the world on him at 7.8.

He is all over the papers after a row with Austin and complaints of him making homophobic comments

All publicity is good publicity in the world of cbb it seems

Watched abit last night, can see why he has shortened, actually although I've never really taken to him he certainly knows how to play the game and seems to be on point with what the people want to watch. Putting Austin and Stacey together was a producers dream move and getting one of the guys to through the chicken nugget in the bin was too funny.

think CBB have been a bit underhand with Ray J

first they offer him £810k to be in there the most any housemate ever (why i had never heard of him even after google didnt think he was more of a draw than alot of former housemates)
they find out all he is doing is sleeping and basically being a boring housemate
he gets a toothache and asks for treatment they refused to let him leave house for it (they have let housemates out before including jedward this week for treatment)
after getting treatment on his tooth he wanted back CBB obviously see this as a way to save £810k for a housemate not worth it

Sounds about right. Nothing ever gets made of Rylan leaving all the time in his series to rehearse for the X Factor tour.

Such a shame how far backwards BB has gone. The spin-off show has become unwatchable. The whole thing has become so lazy. Can see Emma pulling the plug after this CBB.

I love CBB, but haven't seen a minute of this season.

Last season I remember watching properly, was when Jimbo cleaned up <3

I used to watch all the time with live streaming was perfect when playing online but this nest be most episodes I have seen of a series in years. The Americans are all doing my head in but I am enjoying it this year with James j doing an updated nasty nick impression

Best ever series was on Five imo, the Aaron-Jay-Harry-Alex one in 2011. Every year since has been a bit worse and now it's terrible. BOTS was comedy gold for a while but now it's dull and ridic camp.

100% run its course.

bye bye austin

I've not been watching this, but I had some oddments in a betting account., and had seen James Cosmo had gone in.
Got on him at 20/1.
Checked back to see if he was still in and was happy to see he's now favourite.
Has he done anything in particular to make him come in?

ok there is going to be value in the betting somewhere

top 2 in market just now are Kim and Spidey one of them is going tonight

Bianca and Jedward just beat them both

Would love to know how many votes were cast tonight. I'd put money on it being less than a quarter of what they used to get.

Nobody watching, nobody voting. Back the outsiders - Jamie, Bianca, Nicola - and cross your fingers.

as Kris Kamara would say
Unbelievable

Celebrity Big Brother voting percentages 2017
Coleen - 32.65%
Jedward - 29.91%

Kim - 14.52%
James C - 10.33%
Nicola- 6.94%
Bianca - 4.36%
Calum - 1.30%

Six favourites smashed to smithereens in one series.

Coleen won without ever being favourite. Or being interesting.
