Title: Villians Range
Post by: shipitgood on January 11, 2017, 02:38:42 AM
Effective stack is £125.

What would you say Villians range is here? 6 Max Cash GAme 0.5/1 folded to sb.

Villian is in the SB Hero the BB. SB makes it £3

Hero Defends  4s 5s. (£6)

Flop:  3d 4d Ac

V bets £2, H calls. (£10)

Turn  4c

V Checks, H bets £7, V Makes it £22.50 total. Hero calls. (£55.00)

River  7s Villian checks, Hero to Act.

It's perhaps an unusual line compared to general reg tendencies in the player pool.

His raise OTT is not 25 suited, he'd fold this pre and we also block it, or an ace x hand. 33 AA probably keeps betting, as does Ace 4, which we also block.

We also block 56, he only really has 3 combos of 56 suited.

I also wouldn't imagine it's a total random bluff like 10Q os. His bluffs would be flush draws mostly, or 56 suited.

I don't know if I like villain's line in this hand with any holding, say he has a flush draw, he could be drawing dead. If it's for value, is he expecting Ace x to call, not that BB has a whole load of Ace x.

As far as I know Villian is some random casino poker punter as you've given no extra info so maybe no reads as yet?

You are trying to get into his thinking but he may well not have any thinking process. Check raise could be totally random if he thinks you are 'at it' or if he has a flush draw.

On the river I think a good line is to bet £30 and fold to a shove.

sorry, it's online, villian is a tricky reg.

I would imagine 99%+ of the time river x, is just a give up by villain. But what's really interesting in the hand is the turn x raise having had the initiative. I don't know if he should have a x raising range here ott after checking.

I think the biggest problem for the villain is having a range that check raises the turn and then checks the river.
