I am playing a full schedule at the upcoming World Championship of Amateur Poker in Manchester running from Saturday 8th April to Monday 17th April.

I have been playing APAT events on and off for over 5 years now but usually just the odd weekend here and there each year. This will be my first attempt at a full WCOAP schedule. I have a 10th, 13th 14th and 15th in APAT main events. My best £££ result is a 3rd in a DTD XXL30 for £1330. I also chopped the Friday night side event at the most recent APAT event which is not showing on my Hendon Mob.

I have played micro stakes MTTs online years ago under Mark_Port157 on Stars. Not been playing online for a long while now as the stakes weren't interesting enough but I was too nitty/didn't feel comfortable moving up.

APAT events have always been great value. I know the majority of the regulars that play and feel like I have some good reads on their various styles. I watch Twitch videos to stay up to date with strategy and generally feel in a good place to really make a run at this schedule. NLHE is my strongest game but I feel confident in the other games too and the fields across the board will be excellent. This is my one big week of the year, I don't drink and will be taking it seriously. I am staying in a house with the absolute best APAT regs (damning with faint praise here). We will all be egging each other on to get that win.

16th April 1pm – PLO Hi Lo Championship £50+6
16th April 2pm – Main Event – Day 2
17th April 2pm – Main Event – Final Day

Total = £838

5% = £41.90
10% = £83.80
30% = £251.40

I have pre-regged online all of the non clashing events. There will be refunds if tournaments overlap. Multi-tabling is allowed only for day 2's so I will make a judgement if that arises.  I will be playing all the tournaments regardless of how much I sell. Will provide updates in this thread, probably brief updates during the day if we go deep but a summary at the end of each day.

The Irish only got 14 runners yesterday, I finished 4th. Bubbling the money. Was only £350 up top but had the chip lead 4 handed and lost a crucial KQ v A10 on a Q55 board to burst the bubble. Busted when 4 bet jamming QQxx and was virtually dead to AAxx on the flop. 4 card Irish is a lot of fun.

Hopped straight into the 6 max with 10K at 75/150. Table was crazy so couldn't get too involved, ended up busting when opened A5hh off 20bb stack. Big blind defended and check jammed a 4c4s5c board. I called and he had J4.

Main event today at noon. House mate won the Irish and another has the chip lead in the 8 game final table so morale is high.

Busted the main event.

Had 50K last level of the day at 800/1600. Aggro Chip lead opens ep, we 3 bet KJo on the button. He dwell calls and check jams a K66 two spade flop. Gets there with 45 of spades on the river. Terrible peel out of position, 100K would have been close to double average but w/e.

Couple of days off now to relax then back on Wednesday for the Shootout and Antes up.

4th on my table in the shootout. Defended J8ss off 20bbs and check jammed the 875 flop into A8.

Missed every board in the antes only and ended up jamming 99 over a raise and running into JJ.

Round of each today and then the biggest buyin of the week - the high roller. Lets gooooo

Finished 15th in the high roller. :-( Another crossbar.

Had 180K from 20K starting stack, was probably chip lead with 20 left then lost a huge flip with AQ against 1010. Down to 10bigs and folded to small blind who limped Aces and I jammed J8ss from the big.

Win that AQ flip and I have a huge stack. Even 180K would have been good for 3rd in chips for the 11 coming back today too. Bleuuuuuuuurgh.

Only 3 comps left now. Am going to swap out the OFC for the PLO on the Saturday as the OFC is only going to get 10 runners or something and that is not going to get us out of it. Same buyin level.

Last NLH event today, the mix max.

3 bet called off 10's against 9's in the mix max, didn't win.

PLO today.

The only returns we have so far is the result of not playing the turbo when we went deep in day 1 of the main. Still time, 2 tournaments left.

Definitely a good decision to swerve the ofc for the PLO . Good luck in the final today

Yes, we have finally cashed and made a final table.

Going in 8/9 with 15bigs. £1,440 for first, am guaranteed £140 ish, starts at 12pm today. Tournament was a lot of fun yesterday, was in a shitty spot on the bubble getting abused by two big stacks when someone had 2 big blinds trying to fold into the money but still just about have fold equity to shove over an open today.

Will jump into the O8 for the last tournament of the week after getting this won. Need 2nd for a profit.

Finished 5th in the PLO for £330. Jumped straight into the PLO8 and got to final 3 tables but no good.

So total returns were £386. This includes the one cash and the returns from the one tournament that I couldn't play due to overlap.

Returns on 30% = £115.80. I will send on Stars tonight.

House mate won the main event last night for £7k, topped off a really fun week. As a house, we had 2 wins, 2 3rds, a 4th and a 5th. A huge amount of fun. Pretty gutted not to turn a profit after bubbling the Irish, getting rivered for a huge pot in the main, and virtually bubbling the high roller. Felt like a week of near misses.
