Evening blonde, it's time for the Vegas Staking Thread!

In Vegas I've decided to mostly play cash, with a few MTT's. I need to play a WSOP event, for sure, and this is the  event I would like to offer staking for.

This is slightly different to my "Vegas interest thread" where at the time I felt i'd concentrate mostly on MTT's whilst in Vegas.

Most of my battling at the tables has been online. I've done very well  in the time I've played poker, but certainly don't spend hours studying the game, but generally am quite up-to-date on most stuff poker related.

What's being offered?

Up to 50% of EVENT#60: $888 CRAZY EIGHTS NO-LIMIT HOLD’EM (8-HANDED) $888,888 GUARANTEED 1ST PLACE (PAYOUTS START ON DAY 1 @ 1.07 Markup.

Maximum of 10% per individual.

A % is Reserved for Tikay, Vern, Chris (OTB), KarmaDope, TW, GeotheSarge and POWWWW, Youthkn, HutchGF until this Sunday as per the Vegas interest thread.

As the buyin is lower than the interest thead, you can let me know if you want a higher %.

If all payments can be received by the week prior to the event to ensure the smooth running of the stake.

I will post up an exchange rate closer to the time in £.

Slight Caveat,

I've just seen the structure of this event, it is very much a turbo!

I will play this event or a $1k event (has to be WSOP), if I can find something with a bit of a better structure.

In for 10% let me know how much and I will send Friday. I'm away from Sunday so if your not doing maths yet send me an approx and I will send. Work out the difference when you win

Anyone that has been/ played @ the WSOP what would you recommend event wise for $1k, at the end of June / July?

OK, that works for me.

There is a monster stack the week before for 1500.  Other than that, 2 bullets at the Aria 500 or the Wynn has decent enough structures for the 500s. 

I don't know the 888 structure, but a lot of the WSOP structures are good if you survive the early flip and you are bound to get some recs in the 888 tournament who go nuts or call too much.   You'll see much deeper stacks elsewhere, but most of the tournaments will be done in a day (or two at the most) and the "shallow" WSOP events last 3 days (and some go over in to day 4).

We are in! Won a few small pots. 75/ 150 25 ante. 11k from 8k starting stack.

1st break We have 15/16k. It's going to go fast!

We are gg, sb jammed 10 bigs utg, we call 88 in late position. He had queens, we did not improve. No idea how 88 didn't win in the triple 8s:p

It was a really good event, after the 1st break things were going to get a bit hectic. I was card dead for a good amount of time, where as pre 1st break I had been very active. Prior to the 2nd break I had been all in 3 times.   

The first time I got a fold.

2nd time big stack  small blind calls Sb I check k5 os in bb from a 17ish bb stack.
K5x dd flop.
He bet about 3/4 pot. I raised all in and he tanked for a few good mins and folded. I was thinking about raising less than all in. I don't really like that option. Maybe callings best.

Get them next time mate. How is Vegas?

Next time I jammed sb versus short stack bb who had been over folding he found ace x and we lost that pot for about 4bb.  

1st hand after break bb with an ace, American guy limps sb calls we jam they both fold.  

I lost  versus bb again from sb all in he only had about 2 bigs.

Then lost with the 8s.
