Title: Alistair 'Fox' Findlay Post by: DaveShoelace on September 13, 2017, 09:54:30 PM Sad news everyone, Alistair Findlay from www.aworldofpoker.com has passed away after a short illness.
Pretty much if you played poker at any fessy after the poker boom, you likely will have seen Alistair doing live updates there. He was a really nice guy and an ever present figure in UK poker. He gave me some good advice once and I was too daft to take it.
RIP Alistair Title: Re: Alistair 'Fox' Findlay Post by: tikay on September 13, 2017, 10:14:12 PM Ghastly news. A true poker enthusiast - he did things for poker, and not many can say that. Never heard a bad word about him, and never heard him speak ill of anyone. A proper man. Sympathies and thoughts are with his family. RIP Alstair. Title: Re: Alistair 'Fox' Findlay Post by: ripple11 on September 13, 2017, 10:23:12 PM Very sad news, a real poker enthusiast, who shone through on the AWOP forum.
Thoughts with his family at this time. RIP. Title: Re: Alistair 'Fox' Findlay Post by: Marky147 on September 13, 2017, 10:47:50 PM Didn't know him well, but remember him from when I used to play a lot live, and he was a really nice guy.
Terrible shame :( RIP. Title: Re: Alistair 'Fox' Findlay Post by: doubleup on September 13, 2017, 11:09:18 PM Sad news, he was a fantastic character and always good company. I've just got a smile on my face remembering him chatting up the waitresses in the Golden Nugget buffet. Title: Re: Alistair 'Fox' Findlay Post by: Kev B on September 14, 2017, 12:32:10 PM AWOP was the first poker forum I went on. Al was a poker pioneer in my early days of the game with updates nutz tv. Became a friend to all that met him. RIP Foxy.
