Title: Christmas Cracker or Stocking Filler
Post by: chelseaboy on December 28, 2017, 12:06:21 PM
Hi All,

Any recommendations which is the better one to play in? Christmas Cracker day 1 at the Ricoh tonight or the Stocking Filler at Resorts World.

Cheers

Which one did you choose Chelseaboy?
I can't believe my 2 day £35 comp has collected more than the £100 at Cov, Hill St, Leicester and online put together lol

Really interested to know why you decided to do such a low buy in (large guarantee?), is it something you have done before and was successful or first time?

Personally I think it's fantastic and I'm pleased it's been so well supported for you. Bit far for me but might make the effort if you run t again.

At the end of the month we try and do an Olympian, £45 for £15k gte. Consistently makes £20K+
As the cracker was on, and for staffing issues (as xmas has to be a holiday)  I had enough staff to do 2 day 1's and a day 2. Didn't want to clash with the cracker as it's somewhat of a traditional comp. So put a comp on that people could play both (they're day 1B was 26th and final 30th, so mine was in between those dates), wanted it to be cheap, as firing a couple of bullets (in the cracker) after christmas would hurt quite a few players that want their holiday fix. If I put cheap comps on I have to put a big GTE due to location.

Well done, I'll certainly give a few of them a try next year.
