Villain is a the only obvious fish at the table. Playing 29/9/0 over 114 hands. Open limped plenty in early and late position, not seen him get too out of line post flop. The only time we have seen him showdown junk is when he raised A8o in EP. Called in two spots then c bet small on KQ4 and barelled deuce turn after called twice. Barring this hand, has seemed reasonably passive post flop. Thoughts on this hand as a 3bet bluff hand against this villain? His flop donk is 40k into 100k. First time we have seen him donk bet that I remember. We have 243k behind. What are we doing? Title: Re: Winter Series Main Hand Post by: titaniumbean on January 08, 2018, 07:31:07 PM if you say he's been limping a bunch then by definition that makes his opening range likely stronger. for that reason i'd rather have a more top pair heavy flopping hand than A7s. im fine with going after the weaker player but you've literally flopped one of the best flops for you a tonne of equity and we've posted the hand implying you considered folding as we have no options on the flop bar allin, calling wastes our equity when we have to fold turns so it's just a jam over the lead and hope he tank folds. if the blinds arent too aggressive then we can just call this hand in position and play vs the weaker player IP. would rather have KJ KQ AJ AT kind of hands that do top pair more often to 3bet vs the described player.

I am jamming in normal circumstances but feeling pretty shit here when he just has all the two pairs. Title: Re: Winter Series Main Hand Post by: Mark_Porter on January 08, 2018, 07:51:56 PM As played, jam>fold>peel?

Title: Re: Winter Series Main Hand Post by: SuuPRlim on February 04, 2018, 10:43:26 AM cant see how you could possibly be anything other than all in.
Dont think the 40% pot don bet is all that strong (although it could be really strong) looks like some button clickery to me, might get a lot more folds than you think! Not sure about 3betting preflop vs this type of player, not sure what we achieve other than creating ourselves some potentially very messy post flop spots. |
