Title: Can't fold to a min raise
Post by: shipitgood on April 24, 2018, 04:37:54 PM
This is a fun live hand.

Utg min raises, he loves playing hands his raise shows some sign of strength. There has not been a walk all night.

It folds to us in the bb we look down at 7d 2d

Gg'd player sipping his peroni exclaims you can't fold to a min raise. Our face shows an anguished expression, not loving life here ; we look back to double check it is 2 7 suited. After a bit of chatter we decide (1)   it's suited, and  (2) we can't fold to a min raise so we flick it in.

Of course we have passed our cards over the table to show Mr gg player.

We aren't sure exactly how many bb s at start of hand, maybe 15 and the blinds are going up pronto.

Flop comes down 298 rb with one diamond.

We check to aggressor who quickly bets 1 bb, we can't fold a pair, after all it's hard to make a pair in this game.

Turn is the K d

We check, aggressor bets 1 bb, we think for about 20 seconds before announcing all in, confidently pushing our chips into the middle.

Aggressor starts to dwell, after a minute he announces even a 2 beats him, so we say to him "you're folding then?"

Mr Gg starts to laugh and hero starts to laugh.

2 minutes in pre flop aggressor say's I know you have a 2, a 2 of diamonds. Much hilarity ensues.

After about 3 minutes he folds showing a j with one diamond and of course we show our hand.

The moral of the story is you can't fold to a min raise.
