I'll be running three different World Cup Fantasy/Skill contests.

This will be run using the official McDonalds game, which launches today. I'll set up a Blonde Poker League for this purpose it'll be open to anyone who's been a member of Blonde for at least three months. The rules can be found here: https://fantasy.pre.fifa.com/en/faq

2) Superbru Prediction League https://www.superbru.com/worldcup_predictor/play_tipping.php

A game where you have to predict the correct score of each match of the World Cup. ALL PICKS FOR EACH ROUND OF GROUP GAMES/ROUND OF 16 ETC MUST BE MADE BEFORE THE FIRST MATCH IN THAT ROUND HAS KICKED OFF.

Scoring system:
1pt: If you pick the correct outcome
+
2pts If you pick the exact score
or
0.5pts If you're close to the score

Again I'll open this to all and you can play for £10 and play for prize money or enter for free and play for the fun of it. I've already set up a private league for this, so if you're interested please PM me for the league code.

3) Goalscorer Challenge http://goalscorerchallenge.co.uk/

Every game of the World Cup you pick a player - 64 fixtures in total. The number of goals he scores during that game is added to your total. You cannot pick that player again for the rest of the tournament. The person with the most goals at the end of the World Cup is the winner.

There's no option to set up private leagues on this, so anyone who enters for real money needs to disclose their game ID before the start of the tournament, to keep things simple it'd be ideal if anyone who enters uses the format BP_[forum name].

I've updated the OP to reflect everyone who's shown an interest so far. I'm away working at a poker event at the moment and haven't had the time to send PMs yet, but will start sending them out late tonight/tomorrow morning.

I've not played this game before but there doesn't appear to be that option.

Hi dem, there needs to be some line in the sand. The difference between this Fantasy comp and the FPL ones is that this is for lower stakes and just a bit of fun for forum members, hence why there's also a restriction for some of the Blonde FPL leagues.

For this comp, I have to say no, but if you stick around the forum and make a few posts, then by the time FPL season rolls around again you'll meet all the criteria needed to enter all of the Blonde FPL leagues.

Not played the McDonalds fantasy football before, how do the subs work?

If a player doesn’t score any points in a game you sub him off and get the subs points?

PICKING YOUR STARTING 11:
From your 15-player squad, select 11 players as per one of the valid formations before the Round deadline.

All your points for the Round will be scored by these 11 players; if one or more players don't play, then they may be automatically substituted with the players on the bench.

Hey Matt,

Basically, each round of fixtures in the group stage counts as a gameweek. But, you can sub out any players who've scored badly (unless they've been sent off) for any subs who haven't played yet.

Example, you have Suarez in your team and on Friday 15th June he blanks against Egypt and only scores two points. On your bench you have Paolo Guerrero of Peru, who play on June 16th. You could sub Guerrero in for Suarez, losing any points Suarez has managed, but gaining any that Guerrero goes onto get. One of the crucial parts of this game is that you can also change your captain from gameday to gameday. This means you ideally want 4-6 strong captain options from teams who play in different groups on different days. e.g. Cavani, Griezmann, Messi, Jesus, Werner, Hazard, James.

Received. There's no option for a private league in the goalscorer game, so no code to send out. I'm asking people to post their screenname for the goalscorer game in this thread, but I think the site uses the name you sign up with as your name for the game. That means for most of us it'll be our real name, the majority of which I'm aware of. Obviously I respect the fact that participants may not wish to post their real name in this thread, if that is the case please PM me it for competition purposes.

Unless I am reading it wrong on the Goalscorer challenge if you go to standings, there is a box on the right hand side that says manage my leagues.
That then gives you the option to set up a private mini league?

By that I mean the goalscorer league

Go Standings>Manage my leagues>Join existing Mini League and enter the code I sent you. If that doesn’t work please PM me.

Would be very difficult over a season with not being able to pick the same player twice. Fun though. I'd be up for this.

I don't think you have to pick for every single game in a game week.....just one player for a game week. So we won't run out of players.

32 games down, 32 more to go. Seems like a good time to post the current standings across the three games. Shout out to Horneris who is cashing in all three games at the moment. The other six money positions are occupied by six different players at the moment. Can't post all three attachments together due to size of files. First up GS Challenge.

I'll be running money leagues for the Superbru and Goalscorer challenge games during the Premier League season too and will start a thread for that soon. I've automatically transferred the Superbru league over to their Premier League game so you should be able to sign up easily.
