How could we finish last from that load of crap?

Did our song involve penalties?

Do you think the voting has something to do with us leaving the EU?

Definitely.

Fair to say, our stock in Europe at present is fairly low.

I gather Eurovision includes Australia now too. Hard to imagine anywhere further from Europe than Australia, so no idea what that's about.

Bet it got good viewing figures though. It's like Ryanair, nobody admits liking it but most folks do.

the song was boring

we spent no money on the staging

we had a horrible draw after the true and rightful winners and top of public vote across Europe, Norway

-----

Some of us love the thing, but the sneering attitude of many combined with the geopolitics of Brexit mean we are hated by the European voters who love it

We also have no natural voting bloc.

Ex USSR countries vote for each other, so do the Slavs, Scandis, Cyprus 12 points to Greece and vice versa

but in essence..start by choosing a decent song that has broad appeal, is OTT, can be staged and then push it for months

some of these songs have 85m downloads, millions of views on YT, been hits across Europe, they don't come into the event unknown and cold

Europe hates us, and I don't blame them.

Our selection process is a joke too. He's actually a decent performer but the song was woeful.

They need to get Charlie Simpson to write us a winner.
