Title: Android phone owners

Which browser do you use to browse blonde? I used to use Dolphin but the last update took away the flash player and text reflow.

Chrome for me, too.

I've tried chrome but the text on blonde is a bit too small for me to read and if I pinch zoom it pushes it off the page rather than making it fit the screen. Unless there's a setting I'm missing.

I don't know if these screen shots will show what I mean.

Opera does text reflow perfectly but doesn't support flash.

I use Firefox, it has the same zoom and text flow problems you describe.

Surely someone will help us.

Here is an example of text reflow on opera. Pretty good eh?

The only problem is when someone has posted a YouTube vid I can't see it and I get this prompt that I can't seem to disable.

Opera mobile for Android no longer supports Flash. The chances of finding a browser that does and does text flow correctly is probably slim.

Another option would be to update the blonde forum software from v1.1.21 to a version that isn't 13 years old... I bet Tony could have it done in an afternoon.

Example of a forum page using a more recent version of the forum software that blonde runs on - looks good on my phone.

If I could disable the download prompt when Opera encounters flash I would be satisfied.

Yep, my quick googling suggests mobile friendly themes and SMF1.1.21 are mutually exclusive. I guess the SMS theme was built for WAP which is obsolete now phones have full browsers.

Open opera://flags on your phone, anything helpful there?

You can ignore, I installed Opera and tried it without success.

Did you enable text reflow and did you get the download prompt when visiting a page with a youtube vid??

Yes and yes.

Firefox doesn't attempt to download but the 4 extensions that claim to enable text reflow, don't IME.

Opera does have text reflow but tries to download flash files.

Duck Duck Go didn't work.

Brave didn't work.

Mercury browser (never heard of it, found a suggestion via a Firefox bug report asking for text reflow to be added) does appear to do text reflow and doesn't attempt to download flash files, it just has a blank gap where YT links have been posted.

Well that's a step in the right direction, but still a bit clunky. It's a toss up whether to use that or Opera and click cancel when it prompts a download.

Thanks for helping with this BTW. I get a bit OCD sometimes when I can't solve things and most people can't be arsed to indulge me.

I really don't want to think how many hours weeks I spent googling, trying, failing, googling, trying, failing to resolve a low oil pressure warning on my son's 207.

The oil pressure sensor is now unplugged.

Lol. I assume you've tried changing the sender?

Also, have you considered that the oil pressure might actually be low?

Nooo, don't reopen that sore.

Oil pressure is fine apart from when it's idling - sometimes. Revs drop to 700, pressure sensor wakes up and the most annoying warning ping goes nuts.

List of things changed:

1 Sensor
2 Sender
3 Oil viscosity
4 Sensor cable
...
63 Deity of choice
64 Number of f**ks given

So the sensor is now unplugged and the ping is no more. I'm actually hoping the car does die from oil starvation as at least it means I don't have to spend any more time trying to fix French car electrics which is whole other world of pain - and pings.

God bless you.

If you did decide to go further and (and in your shoes I probably wouldn't) I would think about changing the oil pump or get someone to re-map it so that it idles at ~900

Thanks Tom, pump was next on the list but the effort and cost were firmly in the CBA zone.
